If I could give this company a 0 I would. I have NEVER seen such bad service in my entire life. We…read morehave a lake home in Grove Oklahoma. The end of April 2019 was the last time we had service. We have called and called trying to get someone to fix it, all the while paying our monthly rate. Three times they have told us there would be someone out to fix it. They came out once and left a bunch of cable wire on the ground and didn't complete the job. We called again. And then again and again. Finally they were supposed to come yesterday. Guess what? No show. That was the last straw. I called to cancel this morning. That took over 30 minutes. As I am writing this I am trying to get a refund for 5 months of payments with no cable. I'm still on hold. It's been 56 minutes.

They continue to promise us large amounts of speed, we pay almost $110.00 a month and never have speed above 10 mbps most of the time it is around 5 or 9 Mbps and we are suppose to get 100Mbps a month NEVER in our 4 years has this happened. And recently they have decided to go back in time and charge you for Data that you go over. So unless you Upgrade your plan to include this you could face monumental charges. There are NEW companies in the Area that promise you a Dedicated line with no one else vying for internet time. Time for a switch is in order. @ the present time my CURRENT Mbps is 0.74Mbps with a ping of 976 and an upload of 2.16mbps. Pure CRAP.

Yes , we do have more choices now than we did in the 80s and 90s. Suddenlink, has poor customer service! I'm actually waiting for a return call there wait time at 0830 was 20 minutes. That's STUPID! I posted a picture of the BASIC INSTALLATION on my nice new home, PATHETIC to say the least! The electric's are dated, picture is ok on a 4K tv but not worth the trouble. Good thing, Suddenlink has a 30 day money back guarantee so, I'll be returning there CRAP today!

I was going to cancel my services if they did not change my bill to the unlimited plan and get service through somebody else that actually cares about people because this place does not

If you work the figures it is about $39,600 just for the privilege of watching TV! When I signed up for satellite service I was looking for an alternative to cable at, what I considered to be, a reasonable cost. Those packages and fees have gone up steadily, by quite a lot, in the last few years. Each time the cost of a package goes up I try and make up for it by downgrading to a cheaper one. Most recently, yesterday. It didn't save much, so I gave up the Genie service. DTV removed the Genie system at my request. I expected that my previous receivers would be restored. The main receiver was exchanged. However, my two other receivers were not. They offered to SELL them back to me @ $99 each! After all these years, why am I still being forced into an extension of service for downgrading to a different receiver? Do I sound upset? You bet I am. Their web page says "Why Direct TV". I'm wondering that myself. Since there are other ways of receiving programming. I'm getting out as soon as they release me from bondage.

You have to keep your hand on your wallet with these people…read more I signed on with DirecTV in August 2018. My sole income is SS, so every dollar counts. The sales agent I spoke with assured me that my monthly bills would be about $60 (actually, it was $59.45). I felt I could swing that okay, so I signed up for a year. The bill for September was as stated: $59.45. The bill for October was over $80. I have spoken with DirecTV representatives on several occasions, to no avail. My bill for November was $75. Despite my objections, they always insist that the charges are correct. I can eat a lot more peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches, so I can make the payments. But my question is this: did the original sales agent lie to me just to get my business? Or, did they not know what they were doing? Either way, I'm stuck for another nine months. This is just a warning to others.
