My daughter (4) had an great experience. We purchased the mid-grade package ($75) which includes hair, nails, a little make up (which she got to keep), a bag with a few little gifts that she got to pick out herself, 1 bigger gift, and she got to pick a mermaid swim suit or princess dress and got to pick her favorite song and sing and dance on stage. She had a blast and loved every minute of it. Side note: As the person paying for this experience, I wish they would have done more than one coat of nail polish to help it last a little longer, they didn't use anything to help comb out her hair for the hair do they just kind of try their best with their fingers and bobby pins, and personally my biggest issue was that my daughter really wanted the mermaid bathing suit, however I don't feel 4-year-olds need a bikini, yes there is a tail that does come up and she could technically cover up but the tail does not look very easy to walk in and I feel like there should be more options for the bathing suits being there's multiple options for the princess dress. Luckily my daughter had an amazing day though and felt like a princess and wanted to be Elsa all day. Her excitement made my whole family's day! read more

We stopped by Sparkles while exploring Broadway at the Beach, and it's such a cute little shop. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. I don't have kids yet, but my fiancée wanted to take a peek -- and I'm glad we did. The store is full of bright, fun, and affordable clothing for little girls, with lots of sparkly, playful designs that would make any kid feel special. It's the kind of store that would absolutely delight any young girl -- and honestly, if I had a daughter, I'm sure she'd fall in love with this place. This is located next to the chocolate store so I had to take a peak in. It's part children's boutique and also they do face painting, and little girl mermaid and princess makeovers. I am sure this would be fun for a bday party. It is tight in there when it's busy so not sure how that goes. I found a couple cute baby outfits for my little granddaughter. This is definitely boutique prices so I only bought two. I can't comment on customer service because I didn't receive any until I went to register and even then their was no talking. Would I rerun ? Probably not, prices are high. I get adorable clothes at great prices at TJ Maxx and other stores like them. She grows so fast she doesn't need expensive clothes. We stumbled upon this place while walking at Broadway at the Beach. A nice girl walked over to my daughter and asked if she wanted sparkles on her arms. She said yes and they sprinkled some on top. We went inside and it is a cute boutique. Prices are a little higher as they would be at a boutique. We are debating a makeover and will report back if we do it. read more

PICTURES AREN'T AS ADVERTISED. We went to Broadway at the Beach the day before and went into Sparkle's, my goddaughter got the brochure and talked to her parents and she wanted to go back. We were surprised at how aggressive the salesperson was about going right up to my goddaughter's head and asking to sprinkle sparkle dust on her, sales pitching her mom, and shoving the brochure in my goddaughter's hand. She really wanted to do it and was very excited to go, so we went back. What a DISAPPOINTMENT. We went on a rainy day, in the off-season and there was NO ONE in the store (an important part of this review). My goddaughter wanted the experience and went with the $45 package. It included hair, nails, a backpack, and some trinkets. The nail polish looked like it was put on by a 2-year-old and was put on in about 45 seconds, it was sloppy and the polish was on her skin as well. Part of the package is choosing from 4 different updos, she chose her style. As my goddaughter's hair is long enough, it still looked nothing close to the photo and the stylist was not very gentle while doing her hair. The whole experience was 10 minutes. For someone in their sales pitch made it sound like this was going to be a super fun experience, no fuss was made, there was no excitement or joy from the salesperson and it was very rushed. Not one person walked into the store the entire time we were there, so we still can't figure out why this was 10 minutes of sloppy service for $45. If you want to charge Disney prices, make it s Disney experience. You had the opportunity to make a little girl's day and you didn't take the time to do it. She would have had a better experience at a nail salon. SAVE YOUR MONEY. PS: The nail polish you pay $45 for comes off in 2 hours. read more

LOVE this place!! We brought our daughter here last night without realizing they were closing really soon. The girl working didn't seem to mind though and she made our daughters night really really special! Loved the staff. They were fun and really brought the whole experience to life. My daughter never lets anyone touch her hair but she let them do a whole updo and had a blast with her first makeover. For what you get the prices were great and now she has some keepsakes to remember her fun day by. Cute little girls boutique we found by mistake. As luck would have it we had just left Ripleys Aquarium and my daughter had a Mermaid Meet and Greet and got to see the Mermaids swim with the sharks and rays so she had mermaids on her mind, come to find out Sparkles does "Mermaid Makeovers". We bought a package that included getting her nails painted, her hair French braided, a princess crown, some other little gifts and a Mermaid skirt and sea shell bikini top. It was really cute and my daughter adored it, I think I spent $60-$70, best money I spent on my entire vacation. Sparkles is also a boutique and sells some regular infant-children's clothing. I just spent $165 on two makeovers for girls plus a lot of other merchandise. The cashier had given me a $5 coupon off of each makeover and I forgot to hand it back when paying and they refused price adjust. Customer service goes a long way. Will never do business there again. And now same day necklace we bought broke. And the nail polish came off same day in the pool - not real polish. read more

Sparkles is a little girly girls heaven. I brought my 10 year twin daughters to have a fun afternoon of getting their hair done, makeup, dancing and singing and dressing up. It was full of sparkles and glitter and was not where my son wanted to be so they sat on the bench located right outside the store. What I like about this store is I have one twin daughter who is COMPLETELY a girly girl, hair bows, glitter, makeup, nail polish and dresses and this store had everything to make her happy, I also have another twin who is not a girly girl by any stretch of the imagination. What a cute little place for little princesses! After visiting the aquarium at celebrity circle, we were approached by an employee of this store while walking past. Normally, I am annoyed when stores try to do a hard sell, but my three year old seemed to be intrigued. They offer a few different "makeover" packages for your tots ~ we opted for the $30 one which included the following: having her nails painted (and glittered), an updo (you can choose from four different styles), a free backpack and 6 special gifts that each child gets to choose themselves. My daughter opted for glitter dust, a ring, a magic wand, a sequined change purse, a tiara and a sucker. After the makeover has been completed, your child gets to select a song to be played, where they can dance on a small stage towards the back of the store. Although we didn't purchase any, the clothing in the store was pretty cute. Everyone that was working there really seemed to enjoy their jobs and working with the children. I was surprised that so many kids were sitting so still (including my own) while getting their hair and nails done. If you have a little princess, Sparkles might be worth a stop. read more

Took my daughter here while on vacation. She got the "mermaid" makeover. She got the "mermaid" style braids, her nails and makeup done. We upgraded the package where you also get to pick a mermaid bathing suit to wear during and take home to keep. The bathing suit was adorable but could be better quality. And there was only 2 styles to pick from which there could be more. This is the only negative thing I can say about this experience. She also got a cinch sack and was able to pick 5 gifts for it. And at the end of her makeover got to rock out on stage to her favorite song. Sparkles is nothing short of the name. They covered my daughter in glitter from head to toe. Which she loved. Just was here on vacation with my 3 granddaughters this past 4th of July (2018) their ages are 7,6 & 2, we had just left the Aquarium where they have the live Mermaids! For $65 a girl each granddaughter got her Hair done, her Nails done , her Make up done she got to pick out from 2 different styles a Mermaid Outfit which consisted of a Bikini Top & Bottom & The Matching Mermaid Tail, they also got a really cute Backpack & they get to choose 5 Surprise gifts to go inside of the backpack & they also get an Adorable Sparkling Name Bracelet & They did Not have all the letters of my 1 granddaughter's name & 2 days after we got home she received the letters in the mail! The Staff r Amazing & the Price is Incredible for Everything that U get! I so recommend this place to anyone who has a little girl or boy that Loves Mermaids!! When their all finished they get to strut your stuff on an adorable little stage in the middle of the store & dance to your Favorite song! It was Wonderful! My five year old got the most expensive makeover here and LOVED every second of it. Great concept! Love the stage for the kids to perform on and you had her song selection in immediately. Great staff working with the kids too. Very impressed. Thanks for a great time for my daughter! read more
