Visited Tanger Outlets on Black Friday, which in hindsight was... ambitious. Traffic was backed up…read moreso badly that we spent about 30 minutes just trying to get off the offramp. By the time we finally reached the parking lot, it looked like the entire state of South Carolina had arrived ahead of us, but we somehow snagged a spot within 15 minutes, so small miracles do exist. Even though most of the outlet is outdoors, it was shoulder-to-shoulder crowds the entire time. Navigating between stores felt like participating in an unlicensed pedestrian Olympics. Definitely not the ideal day for strolling, browsing, or breathing. Once we actually got inside the shops, the selection was solid and there were plenty of good deals. Lots of variety, lots of brands, and most stores seemed well-stocked despite the chaos. Black Friday probably wasn't the brightest idea, but that's on us. I'd come back again, just on a normal day when the parking lot doesn't feel like Thunderdome and you can actually walk without being swept away by the crowd tide.

Great selection of stores at this local outlet mall. They have a large variety of shops so it…read morereally suits everyone's need. The walk path as many others have referenced are covered, which makes it nice when it's a very hot day. Also, the paths are so wide that you don't feel like you are crowded on top of one another. There are maps throughout so you can grab one easily versus trying to wing it. I also appreciate that they have a food court and various ice cream and coffee shops so if you need a quick bite it is easily accessible to you. Found parking to be easy to navigate and there are several different sections and lots. I didn't find a ton of discounts for reduced prices compared to what I would have expected for an outlet, but it's still fun to kill time when you are looking for something other than the beach to do. Who doesn't love retail therapy?

This Gap is just OK. Like most locations I don't quite understand what they're doing. Seems to me…read morethe quality has gone down while the prices have stayed the same. In here you can find stuff of the same quality as what you find as their lowest tier store Old Navy. As I've said in other reviews, nowadays I skip over Gap completely and even prefer Old Navy. Banana Republic is also still good if you're looking for higher fashion goods. The women's section is about twice the size of the men's. You get through the tiny men's section and ask yourself "is that it?" Though the prices are too high for what you get in my opinion, they're still affordable. You can find all the Gap standards like jeans, shorts, dressy pants, t-shirts, button downs, jackets and sweaters as well as socks and underwear to round out the mix. The Old Navy in this outlet mall is a plague to be avoided so you may just want to steer clear of the entire brand line up here.

Great prices and selection, but abhorrent customer service. I used my credit card to pay and was…read moreasked for ID to complete the sale. I didn't have my ID, but my card was signed and my signature matched. Even so, they refused to let me complete the sale and gave me a fair amount of sass in the process. The kicker: I worked at Gap in college. As long as the signature on the back of the card matches the signature on the screen, ID doesn't need to be checked. I guess they just didn't need my $150 sale that day. And that's fine. My money spent just as well at Ralph Lauren instead.

Old Navy is one of my favorites! I worked for them years ago! At one point my entire wardrobe was…read moreON. My children and I stoped in as my youngest forgot a sweatshirt and I figured we had some time. We scored! I was able to purchase three pair of shorts for my oldest, a shirt for my youngest and my daughter got a set of socks. Not the most elaborate shopping trip but definitely items we needed. The line for check out was a bit long but the staff was working hard and providing good customer service so it didn't feel so bad. We maybe stood in line for 5 minutes. I was asked to open a store card and never felt pressured during the transaction. The cashier told me the perks and let it go from there. It was good experience.

Your usual Old Navy. Fairly disorganized shelves of woven chaos threaded throughout the store…read more (That's a double fashion store pun FYI I expect props.) Staff is perpetually overwhelmed and over it when it comes to keeping things orderly. This store is like a metaphor for life: not having it together but still in the game. Don't get me wrong though, I like Old Navy's clothes. You're getting decent quality for a low price. And I don't like lots of words and logos and emblems and catchy phrases on my shirts. That's where Old Navy pulls through and shines above all the rest. There are shirts in about every color and style imaginable including pocket tees, v-necks, baseball tees, long sleeves, etc. I don't shop often for clothes these days but Old Navy is certainly in my top ten of places to go when I do. It's affordable variety and easy to find in most places. How could one go wrong?
