We were greeted by a very friendly employee as we entered this establishment. There was a huge selection of costumes and accessories to choose from. We were thoroughly impressed. They had dressing rooms to try on the costumes. This establishment is open all year round, and they also have the ability to custom make costumes for customers, we were thoroughly impressed on how friendly and considerate and kind the employees were, and how they treated us! Great first time shopping experience! I'm new to this area and found exactly what I need for a NYE masquerade event. The staff is great, they assisted me right away upon my entrance. I went the eve before NYE (Dec 30) evening associates very nice, allowed me to browse freely and answered all my questions and provided great suggestions. Prices are as expected for quality of products. This is a specialty store, all sales final so careful consideration is Paramount. Associates advised well and prompted my thought process allowing me to decide what was best for me and not what's best for the store. I lived in Myrtle for a long time and still frequent the place fairly often to see family and friends. Imaginations is pretty much billed as the Halloween store but there is much more to it. Yes costumes are their main attraction but they also have a full selection of dance wear and what they refer to as their "sexy"section. I'm guessing due to the number of gentlemans clubs in The Dyrtle, I would assume the employees need a place to shop as well. Back to the costumes, they have a huge selection of them ranging from low to high end with originality you wont find at just any costume shop. I prefer to make my own costume combining purchased pieces with some homemade additions as well. This is where Imaginations truly steps it up. Whether you are looking for halloween accessories or any other costume creators, this is the place to go. The staff is also knowledgable and actually cares about helping you find what you are looking for. Another benefit of a year round store as opposed to seasonal pop up shop. read more

They had a huge selection and I really wanted to browse but I had to leave within 15 minutes. The staff really doesn't seem like they want you to browse at all. They kept asking what we wanted, if we had any idea what we wanted. When we replied no we just wanted to look, the reply was "Browsing is like dating. You stick to what you know." Then they proceeded to always be within 10-20 feet of us. It's not that they were rude but it wasn't pleasant. It was very uncomfortable and we felt very rushed. The store it self was wonderful and had an amazing selection. I am disappointed I didn't get to purchase anything or browse the entire selection. read more

Imaginations has ALWAYS given a local dance studio discount. We have been enrolled at two studios in the area and it was 10% off on all her shoes for the last few years. I verified this with the other dance mom's and they concurred. So today my daughter goes in without me and they didn't give her the discount, first time in all of these years. I called and they said they had never heard of a standard discount for local dance studios. I factored that discount in before I sent her in because I could've gotten them offline for 25.00 cheaper. So, the prices are too high without the discount and we can't afford to return which is sad. We will order online from now on. I don't understand why everyone I know gets and has gotten 10% off and now you act like you never heard it before....I have receipts with a discount on them?!? read more

I've been following the Facebook page for several months. I had been looking around Atlanta for some Halloween props outside of Halloween season. I couldn't find a life sized skeleton. I contacted the store and spoke with Amber. She was very helpful and courteous. She got me the info I needed and photos. The price was great. I ordered a few days ago and just got today. I bought ballet shoes for my daughter, and I wanted to return them when I was informed that all sales are final. They don't even offer store credit???The only solution they offered is if I exchange it for a bigger size. I will never shop at another costume shop again! Staff was impeccable! Customer service was PERFECT! Everyone was so helpful! And you could tell the staff loved their job! Words cannot express how great this place is! The staff is very helpful and friendly. Their inventory is absolutely absurd as far as quantity! Where else can you go get a Chicken mascot in the middle of summer?? They have what they said is 20,000 sq feet of stuff and its is completely stocked!
