But w new owner Alan, I've had the worst experience! brought 2 items to have altered. but when picking up items I noticed the garments were completely discolored. the owner refuses to take responsibility and provided nothing to resolve the matter. you would think being the owner u at least try to provide some sort of resolution for a unhappy and dissatisfied customer. this guy Alan did nothing. It's the worst cleaner. The stains on the clothes remained, and the ironing was done so poorly that all the clothes turned super shiny.these are not the shiny fabric. The colors also faded, leaving all the clothes in terrible condition. The staff is friendly, but their skills are the worst. All the clothes are ruined. We gave them multiple chances because of their kind attitude, but I was extremely disappointed with the same terrible service every time. They need to study fabrics. Then he tried to console me by saying it still looked GOOD like that, and then he said the white parts were already red when I brought it in. Not only that but I found many dirty spots that weren't there before. And when I confronted him he said "So?" I even double made sure before I left the jacket with him, he promised he could clean it well. We went all over Los Angeles to find someone who could fix it and most places said it was ruined and that they just threw it in a washer. When we finally found one place that could fix it, it was $250. Joe said he would cover it if we got it fixed. When the jacket was getting repaired, he said he could only do half of the amount, and he promised and said we have his word that he will pay. I am giving this store 1 star because I did not have a proper explanation as well as not being satisfied with the results I had a puffer jacket that needed to be cleaned from a grease stain. I brought it in and the owner said there was no guarantee because of the fabric and how it will be difficult to take the oil stain out and that he will try his best. I was aware from the information given at the time and I gave the jacket asking if there won't be any discoloration and he was confident in his answer to say not to worry. So after a few days when I came back, there were white spots on the jacket and I got worried about the discoloration or if there was bleach to change the color so I told him about it. After he took it off he was being rude to explaining what it is. He said that it was to try to help remove the stain but because he wiped it off. The effects won't be there. As at that point a simple explanation would help instead of having to be frustrated with me after asking him to take it off without actually knowing what it was. read more

Now if you chose to at least read some of the reviews before making a decision to forego this place, I applaud to you to actually dig into some info before rushing into a decision, in away, allowing stars to dictate your understanding of a business. Sure, this place had quite a reputation with the previous owner, but since Joe and his crew took over, it has been night and day. At least to my experience. It is never easy to take over a business that was not profitable and had built a not-so-desired reputations for itself. (Read older reviews from 08+). Allow me to say that Joe and the team are true professionals and fully understand the idea of hospitality. He does good work, offerings great deals and knows how to build clientele loyalty. He runs a database that records your transactions, your measurements, and your preferences. By doing so he offers you something that other places dont offer - Connivence and friendship. I had multiple suits tailored here, and when I say tailor, I mean TAILOR. I wanted to be economical and see if I can give my older suits a transformation so I don't have to dish out more money to get new suits. Joe put me in front of a mirror, went over his suggestions and recommendations in detail while educating me what needs to be done and what the results could be. THIS is what I can service, not only selling your a product or service, but telling you why you would want it to be done and how he is going to do it. I'm a hospitality professional, and this is how I service my clienteles and customers and I can say Joe and the new team is doing is correctly. They're pricing for dry cleaning is really reasonable and comparative to other dry cleaners around the area, I'd say it's actually more price competitive being a little cheaper! As a side note, I've had alterations done here before where the sewing job wasn't done very well, but the second I expressed my dissatisfaction, the owner immediately apologized saying they would redo it, and as many times as necessary until the job is done well / to my satisfaction. I will never underestimate my fellow yelpers again. Wanting to support my local stores, I brought my coat to Sparkle Cleaners one sunny afternoon knowing little of the darkness that lurked within. When I came back to pick it up I found each stain still intact. Strange... So I ask the owner what happened and he says: "What? I washed! I washed many times! Ohhhh... haha I remember. The owner searches and rummages and rummages and searches. As my patience dwindles away, he returns to say: "I cannot find. You have another receipt? No? How about you come back when I find." Hmmm....................... Methinks not. "Can' t you just find it now? I don't want to make a FOURTH trip." "Wellllllllll like I said... I cannot find it right now. Give me your number." I give it to him but frustrated I say "Look, it's a real hassle for me to come back again. Can you please just find it now? " "Yeah but I toold you, I can't fiiiinnd it. I came here because the location was convenient (I was stopping by the TC post office) and the rates were relatively low. From the outside, it looks like a large dry cleaning place. When I walked in, I saw a pile of clothes thrown on a chair in front of the mirror probably used for alteration purposes. You could see your upper body in the mirror, probably not a good thing for majority of the people who get their pants altered. I did not see a dressing room, so how would the person know where exactly to hem n stuff? The inside didn't really look like a booming business, but rather something that closed down but still had clothes left. That was all ok. I left 2 suit jackets, 1 regular jacket and a skirt. The owner was pretty nice and talkative. When I came to pick up my clothes, I didn't really check my clothes, because they were so simple I didn't think anyone would mess them up. I came home and took the clothes out of the plastic baggie and saw that jacket #1 collar was retarded lookin. One collar was nicely pressed, the other was not pressed so both flaps were pointing one direction. It was pressed way off center behind the neck so that i couldn't try to fold the collar into place. I can't wear something like that to work, or anywhere..period. Jacket #2 was missing a button and a stain was not removed. I was furious. I have never lost a button before. Did they wrestle with my jacket?!?! The other two were ok. I had to go back to get those two jackets recleaned and pressed. Good thing they weren't urgent. The owner was nice enough to not try to wiggle way his out of redoing the services (I know how asians are). He did them in 2 days at no charge but I still will not go back here. They couldn't find my missing button and I don't want to make 4 trips for one service. read more

Wonderful service! I brought my long 2-layer sequin and beaded prom dress in for dry-cleaning and it costed $22. When I brought the dress in, the bottom ends were stained with dirt (because it was dragged all over the floor all night during prom and for pictures) but they washed it twice and got all the stains out at no extra charge.
