Many years ago when I first started using this business, the service and attention to detail were excellent. Unfortunately, that level of care does not seem to be the case anymore. I took my car in today for the first time in quite a while and purchased the top-tier wash, including the additional protectant wipe-down. Before mentioning the concerns, I do want to say that the interior of my car looks great. However, the exterior and windows were very disappointing. In fairness, I did not notice the issues before leaving because I was in a rush. Once I was driving and able to look more closely, I saw that the windows were smeared and streaked, and several areas on the exterior had been missed and not properly wiped down. Overall, I am not pleased with the quality of the service, and unfortunately, there will not be a next time. read more

I've been trying to find a good full service car wash for a while now. Thanks to Sparkle my search is finally over ! The service here is super quick, the employees are friendly, and when you roll off the lot your car is SPARKLING! So far I've only tried their $24 package detail on my car, and I can honestly say it's absolutely worth the money. You can get a service that includes less or even more with prices ranging from $7 for outside only to $36 for the top package. They have plenty options for you to choose from . I've thought of treating myself to the top package, but how much shinier can my car really get ? I Definitely don't want to be riding around looking like I'm about to pan fry my car so I'm happy with my $24 deal for now. Maybe one day I'll treat myself to the works! read more

Appears they are under new management. The "manager" is very friendly. The gentleman working the entrance was helpful and very nice. The quality of the finished job is not at all as thorough as it used to be. Hopefully they're experiencing new ownership/staff growing pains and the quality of service will improve with time and experience. Overall my vehicle looks good (and clean)! Well I thought I was gonna get an ultimate clean but it looked like something I could've done at home. My car was still dirty, I think I was expecting a super professional deep cleaning of the insides and outside of my car but instead got a mediocre job. I'm not sure if they hand wash the car instead of a fill body wash but it definetly was a super mediocre job. They were super busy so maybe that was a factor but, I've been to places that were equally busy and my car was prestine afterwards. I'll be going elsewhere next time, but if you want a light clean up go here, if you want a good deep clean you might wasn't to explore other options. read more

Finding a good car wash in RVA was a bit of a headache; went to one that was 8 bucks and it was like taking a spray bottle to the car and nothing else. Great customer service. They have fair prices - especially for the quality of the wash. You get that waxy coverage (whatever it is that kind of acts as a repellant from rain and some pollen for a little bit), and at the end, whether you had them clean the inside or not, they'll wipe your car down after. Everyone is super nice when you interact with them. Definitely encourage you to tip them well, especially during COVID! read more

so my husband gets his work truck done here regularly and it looks great. wheels shine for like 2 weeks so I decided to go. what a mistake!! $40 upfront and they didn't vacuum or put any shine on my tires. the floor mats had water sitting on them and I have no idea how that happened. windows got half wiped and smears all over. Date 11/18/22 Have used these folks many times over the years and am said to say that their Quality has more than slipped. It doesent exist. Took my car to Sparkle at 4:30. Mention to the attendant my expectations. Selected the 39$ wash. Only customer there. While vacuuming my car the windshield wipers were accidentally cut on by the workers. No big deal. The big deal was they knew it and let them run on a dry windshield for some time. I had to bring to their attention. WOW!! Car was running and they grind the starter. JFC Car runs threw the machine. Workers proceed to wipe the car down , glass, yada yada. They knocked 2 of my rain gaurds loose and did a shit job on the entire wipe down. I mean a shit job. Waved to me that car was ready. I bring to their attention of the damage. No one could speak english or played it off that they didnt. 10 minutes later a young lady appears (very broken english) that all it need was some tape. Really?? I got so angry I ripped the gaurd off and handed to her. Got in the car and left. Once home I really look at the car and find that 2 door clips had been ripped from the door handles. Will go back in the morning and voice my complaints. Very dissapointed and would never go there again. Classic case of poor management and comfortable workers due to poor management. Get the $20 wash and go to car pool to vacuum... your car is gonna shine nicely but you have to stay on them when you have rims

I did the $32 wash and for that I was expecting more they didn't clean the interior of my car properly I had to go back and have my bf reclean the inside. They used to take time with your car. the detailing was great. Now the carwash itself takes barely six (6) minutes through the machine and even though they have plenty of workers the detailing is mediocre at best. Need to find a new place to get my car done. Great car wash. Definitely one of the best that I've come across since moving to Richmond. For what you get, the price is a few dollars lower than the competitors and I can vouch that the rain guard does keep your car looking good through a rain or two. I visited Sparkle today 02/23/21 and paid for the most expensive wash which was 36 and an extra 15$ for the console, cup holders and dash to be cleaned and shined and it wasn't done. I'm disappointed especially after reading all of the good reviews which is what brought me to this place. It was a decent outer job but I was not pleased at the inside. I expected them to be at least better than carpool (who is awful now days too) I guess I will have to continue seeking smaller more private business for car cleanings. read more

This car wash is everything! My family used to be hard core Car Pool junkies... Until my dad got a Jeep and couldn't take it there anymore. Apparently, something about the design of a jeep makes it so that they can't go through automatic car washes like the ones at Car Pool. He found this place and came home raving about it so I went ahead and had my car washed there as well. It was a great experience from start to finish. They explained how it worked, I got a $5 new client discount, and it took no more than 15 minutes during a busy day. I could have watched my car go through if I wanted to, but I sat in the comfy chairs instead to catch up on emails. I was surprised to see such a nice waiting area with TVs, vending machines, and a super nice cashier. When I went up to go check on my car, I saw that it was already finished. The only critique I have is that I wish they had a PA system or microphone so that you don't have to guess when your car is ready. Other than that, nicely done, Sparkle! read more

I reaaaally wanted to like this place! The reviews are great and everyone raved about their expert car washing skills, but it really missed the mark for me. I got the basic car wash which included exterior and interior wash, wipe and vacuum. I understand it was basic and not at the detailing level, but, as you can see in my before and after pics, there was little to be desired in the interior. Next time, I'll skip the interior business and just do the exterior car wash. I can spend 10 extra minutes and get the interior of my car looking fresh and clean with a pro vacuum myself. I did enjoy the inside of the waiting area though! The seats were really comfy and I liked the cleanliness of the building a lot. read more

Either I caught them on a bad day or they've really gone down hill. I purchased the most expensive inside and outside wash. The inside back of the car wasn't touched by a vacuum. The front exterior had soap sud residue all over it (see picture). Many places had bird "deposits" still there. Don't like paying their maximum so I can go home and wash it again. I went to get my car washed. I see the sign that says that they are not responsible for missing valuables. Ok. I got my bag and credit cards, but I left a quarter in my cup holder. I use it to get carts at Aldi. When I get my car back the quarter is missing. I looked to see if someone moved it to wipe out the cup holder. Nope. There is a thief that works there and I won't be returning. It's not a lot of money but it is the point. What else are you willing to do if 25 cents means that much to you. I just left there and got home and looked good at the interior. They did not vacuum the inside seat area and didn't completely wipe down the console. For 29.99 I would think they would do a better job. I used to go there all the time till I moved out of state and was always completely satisfied. I've been going for a number of years but Saturdays visit was the worst and I don't see me going back. I am friendly with the owner who is always appreciative of my business and I always take my 2 cars, RR, Jag for cleaning. This time I took my SUV for the full clean - no problem and took my Jag back for an express exterior. After I'd paid a crew member blocked my lane with a car that was still being cleaned. What is it about the word express they don't understand?? They then stacked the lane in front of me which meant I couldn't escape for 5 minutes. Got my money back. Irritated up the ying yang. I won't be back. I'm writing this because I'm an owner of a customer service business and don't like it when employees decide which customers are going to be given "express' service and those that aren't. I really enjoy not having a to pay a lot to get a quality product. Which is why I bring my truck to Sparkle. For less than $30 I can get my interior cleaned and a wash and wax along with hand dry. Everyone that works here is friendly and deserve tips for the extra work they do. This business is run very well and know what to do to get your vehicle clean. I have been here many times and only a couple times it hasn't been perfect or I hadn't got what I expected. The workers do take care to work around anything you have in your car. This past time I went, I had a couple bags of work and a grocery bag. These items were carefully moved so they could vacuum the interior. WARNING!!! THEFT!!! I stopped by this place to get a wash on my way home from work, I left and went straight home. I wake up the next morning to two stolen credit cards and 2 empty accounts. I call at 8:15 in the morning to ask about cameras and such to see if this was where they were stolen from. An extremely rude young lady answered the phone, I asked to speak with the manager who wouldn't be in till 11:00 so I left my basic information for a return call. Not impressed. I paid $30 for a package. They didn't wipe down the console, the gear shifter, the steering wheel, the seat belt receptacle, they say they wiped down the doors, but for $30 I would expect a little Armor All to spiff them up. They still look dirty. When I asked about this, In badly broken English I was told to go across the street (Auto Zone) to get leather protectant. Nothing in my car is leather. They didn't vacuum the trunk as asked, they didn't vacuum between the seats where you could plainly see dust and several straw wrappers. In the backseat I could still see hair strands, lint, and debri. If I wasn't pressed for time I would have put up a fuss. Just asking about wiping down the door panel took three people to get answered because they couldn't understand what I was asking even with motioning I'm not even picky about our cars!! If I had this much to say, I can't imagine what someone that really cares about the cleanliness of their car would think! read more

This is my favorite car wash. You don't have to wait in a long line wasting your gas and it doesn't take over an hour for them to finish your car like at Car Pool. Prices are decent and quality seems high. Waiting area is nice - comfortable, tv and magazines. Service is friendly. Bonus - the sodas and the air fresheners are priced appropriately. Soda is 50 cents and air fresheners are $1.00, and they have a lot to pick from. Variety you wont find other places. read more

3 1/2 stars for me. Exterior and interior usually above average, except every time an exterior issue with me having to asked them to get my raised white letters clean before putting on tire shine. Interior issue is, they vacuum the rubber mats but rubber needs water or, at the least, to be wiped down to appear clean. read more

Decided I wanted to be lazy and get a car wash. If you normally do your own then it will come as no surprise that this was just pretty good. They have full service and express/drive through options. I chose the express 'diamond' level which includes a list of extras and is the middle of the three options. This will set you back $18, yes expensive for a drive through. I will say my car came out pretty clean including the wheels where most automatic washes fail. I think at that price level it included the hand dry after the blower treatment as well as tire dressing so that may have helped in the wheel area. If you just don't feel like doing it yourself this is a pretty good option. read more

We've been coming to this car wash for years. They have good pricing options and they normally do a really thorough job of wiping your car down after its washed. They've recently hired some new female workers to wipe down the cars after the wash...and don't get me wrong, I'm all about girl power (besides, in the words of Yonce', Who Run the World? GIRLS!!). I'm glad to see the diversity. But some of these ladies aren't very thorough. Two wipes and they're done! I've even seen one on her cell phone, while she was wiping a car down. I've been using Sparkle for years. I own 2 2012 vehicles, one a Honda Accord coupe and the other a Honda Ridgeline. Both vehicles still look like new primarily because I take them to Sparkle. Miguel, who works there, waxes both of my vehicles two or three times a year and I have to say he does the best, most thorough job of anyone I've ever used. I never use any other car wash.
