We paid, and were given order number: 873. There wasn't enough chicken prepared to fill our order, so they told us it would be 6 minutes for the next batch. Well, that batch came and they immediately started filling orders that came in after we had placed our order. 881... 882...883... 890! They filled a half-dozen or more orders before our order number was even started. Then, as they began filling our order they were out of chicken (breasts) again! We continued waiting, and after 20 minutes without an update, I asked how much longer is this going to take? Answer: another 15 minutes or so!!! I get it: Mistakes happen. What matters is how they are recovered from, and Royal Farms staff did nothing to try to make it right. We weren't offered substitution options. We weren't offered a complimentary fountain drink while we wait. We weren't even offered an apology for the mis-ordering of order fulfillment. The attitude seemed to be, "We have your money; you'll get your order when we give it to you." It took nearly an hour to get our order, from the time we paid until the time it was handed to us. This is unacceptable. We will never order chicken from this location of Royal Farms again. Postscript: They placed our hot, steaming, crispy chicken in two separate sealed zip-locked plastic bags. We stopped by this location on an extremely hot and humid day for a quick Slurpee on our way to visiting the State Capitol. As we stepped inside, I was immediately in awe of how nice, clean, decent, and organized this 7-Eleven is in comparison to all the other ones I have visited in northern Virginia and DC. No sketchy vibes at all. The interior of the store was big and brightly lit, and all the items in display were very orderly. Rarely do you find the Slurpee area of a 7-Eleven store without trash laying around and Slurpee dripping all over, but here at 1001 E. Main Street, it was spotless! The only minor complaint that I have is of the lady at the cash register, who was a bit unfriendly and grumpy. Perhaps she was just having a bad day, but overall, this 7-Eleven is great!

Worst Experience - Buyer Beware!…read more Absolutely terrible experience! I placed an order through Uber Eats and waited over 30 minutes, only for the store to cancel my order without warning. To make matters worse, I was then informed that I would have to wait up to five business days to receive my refund! It is completely unacceptable to take a customer's money, cancel their order, and leave them waiting days to get their money back. This is frustrating, inconvenient, and reflects extremely poor customer service. Buyer beware! I would think twice before ordering from this establishment.
