This is not a hand car wash. You pull up and your car goes through the machine wash, then they wipe it dry. It was very fast, but lots of water marks. I won't be back. Also, I was not handed any customer survey when leaving. read more

Whack. These dudes did a super quickie on my ride and didn't vacuum the front passenger side carpet. read more

Sparkle & Shine - Didn't even bother to vacuum the passenger side - Auto Detailing Near Me - Encinitas, California

See all

I paid for a hand wash which includes some things from lower level washes, like cleaning the dashboard and using dressing and things like that. I would say they did a good job on the things they touched like vacuuming the wash itself and the spray wax, but they didn't touch my dashboard at all, when I was driving home I noticed it was still just as dusty as it was before. They also left quite a few streaks on my windows. It's a little disappointing because I paid for a nicer wash and they didn't do the basics. Probably wouldn't go back for something like I got but if you just want a relatively cheap, quick and good wash then I would go. The people who work there are nice enough and work hard. read more

Awesome detail! Amazing work. Guys did a great job detailing. I just bought the car 2 weeks ago and it looks better than new! Definitely coming back. read more

I came in yesterday with my car that just went on 2 week road trip to Minnesota and back. You can imagine my front bumper... bugs caked on. I also park under a eucalyptus tree in front of my house that drops sticky stuff all over the top which is impossible to get off. I got the full wash, wax, detail for $80 and Ramiro Garcia did an excellent job making my 2013 car look brand spanking new !!! Thanks Hugo, Ramiro and team !! read more

Wow this is the best detail I have ever had. I have 2 dogs in and out of the beach in my car every day and they washed everything so well ! It looks brand new! Thank you Alex for a superb job read more

Let's just say I would rather go through a drive through car wash and vacuum and wipe down my car myself. I got a gold level car wash here on a Sunday afternoon and am very disappointed. My car has water spots on the windows, the interior was spot cleaned, they didn't give me an air freshener that is supposed to come with the wash. There are several spots on my car they completely skipped over. This would be worth a $8 drive through car wash but by no means $18. I'm totally bummed because there were some good reviews. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

This is seriously the best value for a car wash in the city. 14$ for a complete wash, mirror wipe down in and out, rim wipe down, and interior vacuum?!! It's honestly amazing the work that these guys do for the price, and Hugo is the man if you need anything extra. Definitely recommend these guys! read more

Hugo was very helpful and attentive with what I wanted done to my car. The services performed were well worth the money spent. Thank you for doing your job. read more

One of the better car washes in North County! Super friendly/ Professional and not pushy on what care packages you should get which i really appreciate in a car wash. Love this place! read more

Disappointed again with this place. The guy who took my truck tells me I should go for the $99 detail package because my truck needs it. I agree. 30 minutes later I get me truck back, initially happy with what I see. But when I get it home I look at the passenger side and it looks like it wasn't even cleaned- water spots all over it. And when I look at the rims they were not cleaned well either. Plenty of spots where there is still think layer of dust. They didn't use any brush in the spokes of the rim and just did a surface wipe that missed a lot of spots. Then I look in the bed of the truck and it is literally untouched, still dirty and dusty, not even wiped. For $100 the truck should be clean, period. This is the second time I've been let down by this place. Never again. read more

First time at sparkle and shine, they did and absolutely amazing job cleaning my car better then any car wash in town. The employees were so kind! Hugo helped me out and was so friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back! read more

I had my car washed here a month ago with one of the basic washes and it turned out amazing. Today, I decided to get a wash and a wax and the car looks better than it did then when I bought it. I'm only getting my car washed and detailed here from now on. read more

Like this place a lot! Good hangout spot under umbrellas and the crew does good work. Would love it if they brought back the gas discounts - so 4 instead of 5 stars for now. read more

Hugo is the absolute man!! Best service & best wash I've ever had. No question new regular spot!!

This place rocks. As long as I am in Encinitas I will go here. Hugo is the kindest, most personable person I have ever met at a car wash/detail center. We dropped off my boyfriend's Tacoma (and man it was in rough shape, 2 trips across the country and lots of camping, mud, and tumbleweeds during that time). The car looks spotless, truly, we could not find a spot. I love this place. Keep up the great work! :) read more

I get my car washed every week and this place just won an academy award! By far THE BEST car wash in Encinitas, Carlsbad area.

Great car wash for a great price!! I was in and out quickly. Everyone here is awesome, especially Hugo!

Fantastic location to get a car wash. Jugo was so kind and helpful! I was in and out and they did a wonderful job!!!

I was here getting my car washed, the guy who was vacuuming it came up and wanted to show me something on my car. I'm thinking "what now". He's pointing under the driver's seat and I was pleasantly surprised to see a $100.00 bill that I had unknowingly dropped there. The guy's name was Hugo and I thanked him for his honesty and of course left a very big tip. They always do a great job on my car, inside and out. I will certainly be going there more often now. It's great to know honest people still exist. Thank you Hugo, you made my day! read more

I was in the process of selling my truck and the thing looked horrendous. That is until I brought it into Sparkle & Shine. They are hands down the best car wash and detailer in Encinitas. The quality wax they use will wipe that salty oxidation right away. And MAURY is incredibly helpful. Maury helped me make sure I got a good deal, and Hugo made sure to make my buyers happy by making my beautiful black truck shine. Thanks guys! read more

Ramiro and Arturo did an EXCELLENT job today. They did a complete detail that was worth every penny of the $280! They buffed the headlights until they looked new and didn't stop there. The whole car looks like new. I will continue to use them for sure! These two guys worked really hard on a hot day and deserve recognition. Thanks fellas... read more

SIMPLY WOW! I read a ton of reviews before going and it was Hugo this, Hugo that. I mean, how good can this guy be? Honestly he's that good! Hugo and his team (Zacarias & Gerardo) absolutely crushed the detail on my pickup truck. It looks brand new! The engine compartment looks like it rolled off the factory floor and its got 40K miles on it! Wow, you guys are amazing. Very friendly too. Thank you Hugo and Team!! read more

Being new to the area, I was a looking for a reputable place to take my car to have it detailed. My wife, after purchasing (and being pleased with) a basic service, suggested I give them a chance at their full-service detailing for our daughter's car. I was not disappointed! After speaking with HUGO, I learned a couple things I could add to my package to eliminate fine scratches. He was right. The car looks practically brand new, smells fresh, and all the fine scratches are gone. Hugo's team took great care of me and even bought my lunch. Thank you, SPARKLE & SHINE! read more

Effective and friendly staff. This matters to me because I often have a sandy, furry car! The manager who greeted me was outstanding and so were the guys who detailed mi coche. I opted for the wax and detail - it was worth every penny. read more

It was my first time here since I had to get my car wash during work hours. I was immediately greeted by the gentlemen Ramiro Garcia he was really friendly and professional. I will definitely come back to this car wash location at the Chevron I was blown away by their great customer service, speed and quality. read more

I needed a detail and Ramiro Garcia gave me a fair quote and said he could help make my wrecked Subaru Forester look presentable enough to sell. Which is saying a lot because I have two kids and a dog! Almost more importantly, I had already paid for the $100 mini detail when I noticed a special coupon on their website that said $25 dollars off a mini detail. I told David inside the mini mart and he promptly gave me 25 dollars in cash. read more

Great price for a full wash and detail considering the location. Ramiro G. did a great job on my Model S. I'll be coming back soon.

Well, I normally do not go out of my way to write a review but I REALLY must - the experience I had was that amazing!! I brought our truck in for a wash on the recommendation of a friend. The truck emerged being everything our friend had indicated it would be - SUPER CLEAN - almost to the point of looking like they had mistakenly done a detail on it (the truck is black so that says a lot....)!!! I was happily driving home when I noticed our antenna was not looking right and then off it flew. UGH, I knew it was too good to be true. But alas this is where the story gets really good!!! I had little hope that the car wash would take responsibility but thought I would try to phone and see what was what. Marcos not only phoned me back but we had a very nice conversation and he told me to either bring it to our repair person or bring it back over and they would fix it. I even sent him a video of our antenna to make sure it was the same. He not only got the same antenna from the dealership but when they were unable to install it instructed me to take it over and have it fixed there. When I gave our regular service advisor Marcos' information to contact him for payment (as instructed by Marcos to do!!) he was doubtful how this would turn out. I explained that Marcos had been most pro active in this process and told him I thought he would be impressed in his dealing with Marcos - to say he was would be an understatement!!! Marcos showed up IN PERSON (I had also given Marcos my service advisors contact information) to pay him before he ever got the opportunity to contact him!!! To say that I am impressed with not only the car wash but the business as a whole and their ethics would not be doing them justice!!! Thank you Sparkle and Shine and Marcos for being such an AMAZING example of a business model and just all around great example of humanity!! Truly AWESOME!!! Bridget A read more
