We really liked our stay here minus a couple of snags. The site was very clean and inviting. The…read moreroom was spacious. The location was easy to find and conveniently located near a center with various restaurants, a grocery store, and entertainment options too. We were in town for a soccer tournament and this room worked perfect as it was myself and my spouse and our son who stayed on the pull out sofa bed. We had a short stay however I can see with the kitchen amenities it would be nice for longer stays. The outdoor seating was nice and the soccer players made themselves comfortable there at night. The pool area was nice and had nice views of the golf course next door. When I mention a couple snags - the shower was very nice it had both the waterfall over head option as well as a standard hand held shower head. There was some gross build up on the face of the shower head. When we were nearing the area from our Southern California drive we called and asked about early check in options and they advised to check back around 11a-12p. When we got there it was within that window and they seemed rather irritated about this ask. They noted that our room was being sanitized and would take up to an hour. They had a nice seating area in the entrance lounge space so we sat there. We took in the beverage station which was a great option, however we waited about an hour and a half before we finally began to ask for updates. The manager seemed over upset that we had been advised about early check in options. It all worked out and we got in a little earlier than standard check in. The next morning the breakfast was nice and there was various options beyond the prototypical continental breakfast.

BEWARE OF THIS FACILITY !!!!! This is the first LaQuinta with outrageous problems we have had. Our…read morereservation was made the morning we checked in with a 3rd party company, paid full amount since non-refundable, checked in that afternoon, we're charged the $150 deposit, put luggage in room and left. That evening on return using the bathroom found a BIG PILE OF POOP in the toilet, how GROSS !!! so I flushed and cleaned the seat and around with our wipes. Upon putting our drinks in the frig found a half drunk orange Gatorade in the frig. Is the staff using the rooms after cleaning, or letting someone use the room after cleaning??. We also found the room unclean elsewhere. So, after our 3 nights we checked out, no comment about the bill when checking out, using a 3rd party they do not issue a receipt. The NEXT DAY on our credit card we find LaQuinta had charged us again for those 3 nights PLUS charged us another $150 deposit, without a refund for the first $150 from check in. Spoke to our cc company and said to wait see if charges dropped, 3 days later STILL 2 charges for room and 2 deposits, neither dropped off. Husband called LaQuinta spoke to manager said we never paid for room but no explanation for 2 deposits, had to call booking company, who verified room was paid for in their records. Once again call to La Quinta to speak to manager, who had found the errors and corrected them, returning the extra room charge saying the original charge must have been overlooked but NO REAL EXCUSE FOR CHARGING 2 DEPOSITS AND NOT REFUNDING THEM. BUT, now almost 2 wks later we still DO NOT HAVE THE REFUND FOR THE ROOM THEY CHARGED TO US. To the manager's credit my husband said he was very nice both times addressing the issue, the room was barely used no reason to keep deposit at all. Watch your credit card for extra charges at this facility, NEVER have we been so disgusted with a LaQuinta.

Clean hotel with tasty breakfast items…read more The location wasn't close to any attractions but it was nearby restaurants, fast food chains, and a grocery store. There was also a small shop at the entrance selling snacks and chargers. Check-in was a bit slow as they had difficulty finding my reservation. However, the receptionists were always kind and helpful. The 2 queen bed room was spacious and included a microwave, mini fridge, coffee machine, hangers, and an iron. The bathroom had communal soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. There was a note on the sink stating that other toiletries were also available upon request. I wished there was more toilet paper was included as there was only one extra roll. There was a sufficient number of towels for the sink and shower. However, I found the shower to be difficult to start as the shower pin was stuck. The shower knob was also labeled backwards as the "H" was on the side of cold water instead of hot. The bed and pillows were soft and supported. The bedsheets were clean but could have been thicker. I enjoyed the easy access to outlets and lighting from the convenience of my bed. The TV was large and there was a decent number of channels available. Breakfast was simple yet executed well. The omelets were light and fluffy. Potatoes weren't always served but it was a good day when they were. Everything was seasoned and cooked well. Sausages were juicy and bacon was crispy. There was also fruit juices and coffee available. Other items included cinnamon rolls, cereal, oatmeal, and made to order pancakes. I would have loved healthier items like fresh fruit but the spread was more than sufficient for me. Although others enjoy actual dishware, the disposable plates and utensils made it easy to eat on the go. Would stay here again when visiting Mesa or Gilbert. Clean and priced appropriately and still one of my favorite breakfast options.

He said I should notify the hotel for future guests. I called and confirmed we did not need a code for the medical discount. (We needed the code at a diff hotel in Scottsdale.) When we checked in, I verified we were there for medical reasons and asked what the rate was. He said we would get it at checkout. I have never stayed in a hotel that would not tell me the rate upfront. He ran my CC, but said it would not be charged until we checked out. (I did not prepay) Upon check out, the GM, Tammy would not honor the medical discount. She said because I made the reservation via Expedia, she could not give me the discount (even though I called ahead, and was told when we checked in that we would be on a medical discount rate). Luckily it was only a 3-night stay - but I was mad enough with just those days being at a higher rate. House keeping did not clean our room on the scheduled day. Although we will need to return in 6 months, location is perfect - close to medical facility and restaurants... We will never return to this hotel.
