    No eggs, unappetizing bacon.

Well. I arrived around midnight and had already chosen my room at check-in on the Hilton app. When I arrived, my digital key was not activated yet. I spoke to the nice young man at the front desk and he informed me that any rooms on the 4th floor weren't available because they lacked the necessary cleaning. He offered me another room on a lower floor and I mentioned about noise and I don't think he heard or was worried about it. I went to the room, the room was an HA room so maybe a little larger than the other rooms. Yet, the room wasn't that clean. I found some hair on the bed, maybe from the staff when they make the bed shed some? The second was the toilet had dribbled urine or fecal matter on the end of the toilet. It was late, I was jet lagged and basically given the last "clean" room. So I did not bother to call the front desk. Around 6-7am, the sun was rising and the light penetrated through the shades. I had planned to sleep much longer since check out was 12pm. Then the traffic noise came. It almost sounded as if the window was open, it was not. Soon after the person in the room above must have woken up and was walking around and getting ready. It sounded like stomping to be honest. Then it sounded like they were bouncing a ball on the floor. So being unable to sleep, I get out of bed to shower. The shower is so small with the accessible bars attached to the tub surround. Then I went to breakfast. That was the final straw. No eggs, less than appetizing bacon and watered down orange juice. So sad I stayed here and that is why I am writing this review. It bothers me even days later. I should have stayed a few miles away at the other Tru I had stayed at in the past. For $20 more. Hopefully it would have been better. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Hilton property. Hopefully I get my money back.

Upon walking in the hotel over all look is a cute boutique style hotel. The lobby is bright and fun with lots of family friendly activities. When we arrived to our floor they were doing air duct cleaning which was not mentioned on the website upon booking. We had to step over tubes and cords to enter our room. When I got into the room the floor was not cleaned there were Cheetos and dirt. When I asked the housekeeping staff they came in my room said "yeah we're busy so that's why it's there" uummmm? Not really an excuse for a dirty room. They came and swept Cheetos but didn't do anything else. I will say the beds had plenty of pillows on them which I appreciated and the sheets and bathroom was clean. There's no place to put clothes or really unpack , no dressers or closets. The a/c isn't great and it's very loud. I can't imagine staying here in summer. Definitely not worth the price tag $350/night. Definitely would not recommend or stay here again.

I was moved here by Hilton after plumbing issues at the DoubleTree just up the street (where I normally stay when I visit Gilbert), and I have to say I was fairly impressed! Perhaps my expectations where low since this is a budget chain, but I actually found the rooms here to be nicer than up the street. They are not the largest (and they do not have any drawers/closet space except for a few hooks and racks, which might be an issue for some), but they are modern, slick, and comfortable. Plus, all technology is up to date, and the A/C unit is strong and quiet. I will note though that the sheets are not my favorite, as they feel a bit on the cheaper/soft (almost fuzzy) side. One of my favorite features is the bathroom soap/lotions -- everything is in a large, mounted tube which you squeeze. No more finagling with tiny bottles! Additionally, the front desk staff was very welcoming and accommodating, and the entire hotel had a relaxed energy to it. My biggest complaint: you will NOT earn 10 base pts/dollar here, like at other Hilton properties. You will only earn 5, as it is considered a budget hotel. This might be the only thing that keeps me from immediately selecting this hotel for future stays.

    Lobby

Perfect spot for a short business/personal trip. Loved our stay. Great staff The lobby and rooms are bright, clean, and efficient. Great shower, NotSoapRadio soap/shampoo/lotion much appreciated . Rooms don't have drawers, or closet, but plenty of wall shelves, and suitcase shelf or under bed, hanger rod and wall hangers. Small refrigerator was perfect for our stay. Small chair/desk- perfect for work. Felt like a great hostel style. Well set up for electronics, had a pool table in the lobby, a small pool with Nice outdoor seating area Contemporary, 'hip' feel. Eggs, sausage, toasts, bagel and cereals, etc. For breakfast. Plenty of open, bright lobby seating. Only 2-3 Blocks from major hi end shopping mall and great restaurants, a TopGolf, and the Riparian Preserve and beautiful regional Library https://www.gilbertaz.gov/departments/parks-and-recreation/riparian-preserve-at-water-ranch Will definitely choose Tru by Hilton line again when traveling, if close to my destination.

Coffee and tea are complimentary while water bottles in the room are $3 per bottle unless booked through Hilton as a member. The room is spacious and the window has a two-set shade for lighting control instead of curtains. It comes equipped with a smart TV that can be hooked up to services like Netflix, Apple TV and more. If your stay is short, five days or less, and do not require housekeeping, it's best to forego the service. Trash can be easily left outside of the room or brought to the bins by the parking areas. We returned to our room on the third day, after skipping service on the second day, with fresh towels even though the towels were hung. The bed was made although with not so fresh sheets. You can most certainly tell it wasn't. It wasn't dirty to begin with, but it would've been nice to have gotten fresh sheets. The concierge staff continued to be warm and courteous at checkout as well. I won't mind staying here again.

After driving 6 hours from San Diego, I went to the front desk to get extra keys and ask questions. I was greeted with a sign that read something like "we have stepped away from the desk but will return soon...." So I waited about 5 minutes and nobody came. There was no bell to ring or anyway to get attention. Then I noticed someone in the office wearing AirPods and on their phone. I walked closer so they could see me out of the corner of their eye and they came out and greeted me. She was very friendly which was nice, and I get that it was late but I feel like she could have been more aware of people coming to the desk, and maybe that someone leave a note letting her know there would be guests arriving late. We got to our room and it was nice and clean. The beds were comfy and we slept. The next day we went to breakfast and the chef was very accommodating for my daughter who has celiac. They made a fresh gluten free omelet for her on a clean pan. As we were getting ready to go out for the day, I went to get some ice and as I walking into the hall I noticed a maid with a clipboard. I told her I would like to have our room made up while we were gone for the day and asked if I should remove our dnd sign now, or wait until we left. She said "wait until you leave, we'll be sure to make up your room". We left around 12:30 and returned around 10:30pm. We came back to our room and it was not serviced at all. I called down to the front desk and asked to have towels brought up. I was told we had to come down to the desk to get them because they didn't have anyone to bring them up. The next day as we were departing around 8am, my daughter and I went down to the lobby to get Starbucks for the road. It was not open. With a sign right in front the read, open daily 6:00am... Then the front desk lady walked over apologetically and informed us that the Starbucks would not be open but if we wanted just a regular coffee they could take care of us at the restaurant. I said no... she apologized again. 1. If you are expecting guests arriving late. Be ready for them when they arrive. 2. If a guests specifically asks you to have their room made up and you assure them it will, then follow through and make sure that happens 3. Hire someone to make room runs, you're a Hilton not a motel 6 4. If you're going to have a Starbucks in your lobby, make sure you have people to run it. Or remove the sign that says Open daily.
