What a breath of fresh air. The staff are amazingly trained. I lived in Germany for eight years and the menu could have been from any small town in Germany. Outstanding food, you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't come here at least once. We paid around 80$ total for two meals, 1 amazing beer, 1 delicious soft drink/apple juice mix, and a tasty apple strudel for dessert. I would expect to pay higher depending on the meal or drink you choose. Honestly, the food alone is worth every penny, and the portions are huge. I can't tell you enough about how excellent our meals were. They were fresh, delicious, and bursting with flavor. I have never felt so well after eating such a big meal; the food is top tier quality. On top of this, the staff were super friendly and helpful. Kelly let me sample the beer before purchase, and she did a great job attending to us and helping multiple customers at once. The ambience is very nice, clean, and my wife and I enjoyed everything from the music to the placemats on the table. The chef came out to check on customers, which was awesome! Well night two at Spargel on Nine also went to the Thursday soft opening, ran into some snags. Most notably, the place was overbooked. The remedy for overbooking was offering free drinks, which was appreciated. However, did not resolve the hour to hour and a half wait for your meal. We ordered a herring filet appetizer and a beef consume with liver dumpling and German pancake strips - both amazing. I had the Sauerbraten and it was the best I have had since leaving the midwest. The portion was perfect and filling. My wife had the schweinebraten that in appearance alone was impressive. She stated it was the best pork she has ever experienced. What an unexpected delight! We stumbled upon Spargel when our intended dining choice was closed. We are glad that our plans were upended because our spur-of-the-moment German dinner was delicious, authentic, and reasonably priced. We attended with family and friends for my birthday dinner. Our party of six with a reservation for 7PM was greeted promptly and escorted to a booth. A nearby table seemed vacant and we asked to switch to that with no problem. The menu is extensive, but my husband and I both had had the privilege of trying the Viten beer prior to the restaurant opening and knew that was a winner, which made drink options an easy choice at least. We ordered The soft pretzel appetizer to share. This was phenomenal with various authentic German sausages and cheeses to try. We decided to order six different entreats to share family style. These included: Viener Schnitzle, Käse spätzle mit speck, Schweine Haxe, Wurst Trio with sauerkraut and German potatoes, Fish Trio over linguini with cremini mushroom sauce, Roasted Duck with potato dumpling and braised red cabbage, and Pork Collar with potato dumpling and side salad. Everything was out of this world good. By far we all liked the Schwein Haxe the best, but literally everything else was superb. As two chef "foodies" it's difficult for us to find a restaurant we feel we can satisfy our bellies and budget at the same time, but Spargle on Nine did that tonight! We just had the most delicious Father's Day dinner with our family. This location is authentic. Everything is made from scratch, and the quality of the food was outstanding. We each ordered something different. My son had the filet mignon, which he said was the best he's ever had anywhere's I had a chicken cordon bleu, which was a fabulous dish and my daughter-in-law I had a chicken Wienerschnitzel with potato pancakes She raved about her entire meal as did Weight. We had wonderful appetizer with the pretzels and the beer cheese. Outstanding I had a green salad which was almost pitch perfect with your house dressing, which was excellent and then we all had dessert from the homemade ice cream to the tiramisu. To the raspberry strudel with vanilla sauce and the black forest cake was absolutely wonderful.
