My sons attended in 2015 and 2016. There was a lot of good at the school, mostly from the teachers who my children loved. However, the administration is awful. My ex-wife was trying to transition my son to a girl, and the principal sided with her. The principal once refused to give my children to me, after school. Our son recently wrapped up his first year at Spanish Schoolhouse (SSH), and we were quick to sign him up for "summer camp" and will definitely be sending him to SSH thru kindergarten. It's been pretty much everything promised. Full immersion Spanish. An involved staff with varied backgrounds and countries of origin provide a legitimate experience. Our son already knows Spanish, and I think that's so awesome - such a gift. Especially in Texas. He's also well on his way to being able to write his letters, which is pretty impressive for a 3-year old. They practice writing all the time - I love it. He knows how to write his name. Maybe that's unimpressive to some, but I'm impressed. And pleased. The staff is caring and present. It's like a family. Any concerns we've had were addressed immediately and professionally. Excellent customer service. Jenny, the principal, is really great. She has this place running like a well-oiled machine. Our son loves it there. He's always excited to go to school. The other kids seem excited to see him. The teachers seem to genuinely like him. And we LOVE the diversity in the classroom. Kids of various Latin backgrounds, white kids, black kids, Asian kids... wonderful mix of races. We loved his first "preschool" (pre-preschool), but it was pretty much White-Bread-McWhiteyson. Trying to think of any potential complaints... hmmm... well, the parking lot is super small and sucks, so be prepared to park on the street and walk a little (not far at all). That's normal there. Not a big deal. They use glitter in some art projects, and we all know glitter is the herpes of the art world. No need to spread that stuff around... Ah! The one thing I really dislike: uniforms. Our son has all these cool shirts that people give him, that he loves, and he only gets to wear them on weekends. Why do the kids need to wear a Spanish Schoolhouse shirt everyday? Seriously? What does it accomplish? That's the one thing that drives me crazy. But since it doesn't truly affect his education or overall experience, I'm leaving this at 5 stars. But I really do hate that he has to wear a uniform and I think there's ZERO reason for it at their young age. Call it 4.5 stars because I hate the uniforms rule. Seriously, I highly, highly recommend the Coppell SSH. They've got their game together. We toured the Castle Hills SSH too, and this was notably more impressive. We heard the same from other folks about the comparison - Coppell is where it's at! This place has it going ON! (The Castle Hills one seemed... less so.) Enjoy, amigos! read more

This school has made an incredible impact on my children. Back in January, I enrolled my 3 1/2 year old, Bobby, in the Spanish Schoolhouse in an effort to get him started with preschool. He had attended another area preschool previously and hated it. Every mom's worst pain, he cried and cried every time I dropped him off and he was constantly coming home sick. When Bobby started going to Spanish Schoolhouse, he made a complete 180 degree turnaround in experience. The school director, Jennifer, and the entire teaching staff are hands on and pay attention to every detail when it comes to teaching the children. The atmosphere in the school is very festive and positive. Since Bobby has enjoyed the school, I've also enrolled his little brother who also has had the same enthusiastic experience. Every morning, the boys get up and are eager to go to school at the Spanish Schoolhouse. And let me not forget to mention that they are both well on their way to speaking fluent Spanish as their second language. I took time out of my very busy work schedule to write this review because I knew that other parents may be facing the same challenge we did with having our children be eager and happy to engage in learning and getting a head start before entering Kindergarten. Spanish Schoolhouse of Coppell is a wonderful place to send your child to preschool and kindergarten. We originally chose this school because we are a dual culture family - American and Argentine - and we want our kids to speak both english and spanish. Not only has my son learned so much in the year he has attended, but he is more socially confident. On his first day of preschool he wouldn't let go of my hand and cried when I left him. Fast forward to the end of the school year and he is loves going every morning, adores his teachers, and has made many new friends that we regularly see outside of school. This is such a special school, not like any others we considered for him. From the moment you walk in the door your child is greeted with smiles, high fives, hugs, and most importantly, love. I think that's the best part - I felt like the teachers genuinely care for the kids. In terms of academics, my son went from not even wanting to hold a pencil or knowing the alphabet at all to actually recognizing the entire alphabet and being able to write the letters in one year. His spanish has improved considerably - when he started he didn't want to speak spanish at all, and after one year he will switch to spanish when we speak it to him. I recommend Spanish Schoolhouse of Coppell very highly if you want a loving, fun, and educational environment for your child. read more

My 1st grader was not thrilled at the prospect of camp in Spanish but he came over every day glowing with joy. The loving atmosphere, super creative projects were great and he loved having so much playtime. He made two good new friends which is making our transition to Coppell easier. My 3 yr. old grandson has been attending SSchoolhouse for two years. He loves going there and the staff is incredible. I am a retired teacher and would highly recommend it. His language development, as well as his other developmental skills are exceptional. The social interaction has also been extremely beneficial. I never write reviews but Spanish Schoolhouse in Coppell deserves a great review. After trying a few preschools we took the advice of neighbors to try Spanish Schoolhouse. Every staff member, teacher, and the directors (Jennifer and Patricia) were outstanding. It was well worth a 30 minute drive for our daughter to attend the school. I sent both of my daughters to preschool at Spanish Schoolhouse in Coppell. The faculty is friendly and warm EVERY day. Both girls learned foundational vocabulary in Spanish, even though we speak English at home. It was hard for my 4-year old to articulate what she was learning each day, but when we reviewed her binder at the end of the year, we realized she had learned MUCH more than we thought. My older daughter is now in Kindergarten and has flourished! She takes Latin in her new school and we are able to reflect on her Spanish background, compare the languages, and find the word origins. We couldn't be happier with this Spanish-immersion preschool. We moved from a different town where we had our oldest in a montessori program, so I didn't want to expect from a more "typical" preschool. But SSH is far from typical. We've had three children pass through their halls, and every day there is a day we look forward to. The teachers are caring, nurturing, and loving; since day one, we have felt like we belonged to the SSH Coppell family. There is not a lot of turnover, so we see the same faces year after year. Our children have learned a lot while being there, and of course, they have learned a second language in the process. The best time to learn a second language is as a young child. There is no better place to do so than SSH. Plus, there are all kinds of fun activities -- from potlucks to bike parades, this preschool has much to offer in addition to the most important thing of all: love for the children who attend (where each child is greeted by name from smiling faces every morning).
