My skin looks smoother, brighter, and more even, and it has that healthy glow I've been trying to achieve for a while. The epidermal leveling add-on made a huge difference in how well my skin absorbed products afterward. This service is truly worth it, especially in Perla's hands. You can tell she genuinely cares about results and your overall experience. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending this to anyone looking to invest in their skin.

Unfortunately, my experience with management was disappointing. I felt that I was treated unfairly in a situation that could have been handled much better, and what was most frustrating was that the managers at the time did very little to acknowledge or rectify the situation. Because of that, I ultimately decided to cancel my membership. After I canceled, I was contacted by a new manager who asked if she could make things right with me. I really appreciated that she listened, took my concerns seriously, and genuinely made an effort to make things right. She followed through, and I want to give her credit for that. I'm still not sure whether I'll continue with a membership at Hiskin. My hesitation now is less about the service and more about the open-concept setup. I personally prefer a more private, relaxing experience when I'm getting a facial. I do appreciate the new manager reaching out and making an effort to turn a negative experience into a much more positive one. That meant a lot to me.

My most recent facial at the Rice Village location was a terrible experience, and the way my…read moreattempts to cancel my membership have been handled have been even more disappointing. During my last appointment, I received a facial with dermaplaning. The esthetician was so rough that I left with significant irritation followed by peeling and scabbing that lasted for about a week. I've had facials here before and have had dermaplaning elsewhere, and I have never experienced anything like this. Once the initial swelling and redness had gone down, it looked like I had cuts from the dermaplaning. After this experience, I emailed the studio to cancel my membership. Instead of processing my request, I was told I had to call. The employee I spoke with was dismissive and informed me that I could not receive the cancellation paperwork until **after** I was charged AGAIN in August. She also mentioned a "cancellation fee," despite that fee not appearing anywhere in the membership agreement. She promised to send me a copy of the agreement but never did, so I had to locate it myself. The membership agreement states that the membership requires a minimum of three recurring billing cycles, after which members may cancel before their next billing date with no additional billing simply by contacting the location. None of this is the case. My membership began in May, and I have already completed the three May, June, and July billing cycles (although I hope to get a refund because I did not go in July because of this experience, and I feel like June should be refunded because of how awful my service was). The employee claimed May did not count because I supposedly received a new-client rate. That is incorrect. I was not a new client and did not receive a new-client rate (see attached statements where I was charged for the membership in May and for charges before becoming a member). The information I was given over the phone did not match the written membership agreement, and there appears to be no corporate phone number available to resolve disputes. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend the Rice Village location or the HiSkin membership program at all.

I really appreciated that she worked to get me in on the same day. Honestly I didn't know what I was getting when I scheduled my facial a deep cleanse / extraction wasn't quite what I pictured. Turns out it was just what I needed - even if I didn't know it at the time. I was open to letting Helena suggest what was needed. I got there a little early and Helena invited me in - the place is very soothing and tranquil. Helena sat with me while we did some paperwork and asked me about why I was there and assessed what she would recommend. There is going through the motions and then there is taking pride in doing a job with great care. I wondered why there were so many 5 star reviews and after having been under her care I understand why. Helena takes great care in doing a job well done - she cares about her work and you can feel it while she is taking care of you and when you see the finished work. Even with the extractions she was assuring and took her time to ensure I remained ruggedly handsome. And for any guys reading this that may not have had extractions - with Helena the discomfort level was about a 4 out of 10. I promise if you are open to Helena working her magic you will love how you look afterward. She was also very honest and saved me money when she could have said anything and I would have went with it. That's why I would highly recommend visiting whether you are nearby or not.
