Food is amazing. Simple ingredients and real food. Chef has trained in Italy and you can tell! This is a higher level experience than what you would normally find in Wyoming. Great atmosphere and everyone is super friendly. Probably the cleanest kitchen you will find in all of Wyoming!

What a great place! We stopped in for dinner on the way home from a road trip, so happy we did…read more The staff was awesome! We were on the tail end of a dinner rush and they handled it great. They were friendly and courteous and checked on us frequently. I ordered the wedge salad and pretzel bites with beer cheese. The salad was great. It was fresh and the perfect size. The bleu cheese dressing was creamy and so delicious. The pretzel bits were as expected, and the cheese had good flavor, but was warm not hot. It was a little chunky, but I still ate it all. LOL! The in-laws ordered the nachos. They are not your traditional nachos. You get a choice of meat, brisket or pulled pork. They chose brisket. And you get to choose between fries or pork rinds and they chose pork rinds. They liked them. I didn't try them. They also liked the duck wontons. Hubby had the pulled pork sandwich and fries. It was pretty good. I loved the fries. I think they were hand cut, but I could be wrong. We had a great dinner!

I went to Windy Peaks Brewery as they were on my list for quite some time. They open in the evening…read moreso plan your meals and any beer sampling accordingly for that. The atmosphere inside is pretty cool. I just wanted to try one of their beers and then resume onwards to the north so I didn't get anything to eat here. I got some of their Prohibition Blonde Ale which was good. Flavor features with this was an essence of peach, sweetness, juicy and fruity. The beer was light bodied, exactly what I was desiring and enjoyed. I was eager to take a canned beer home with me but alas their machinery that did this particular task was broken so hopefully that gets resolved for those who want to take beer home with them.

I planned a trip to Fort Laramie and was looking for places to stay in the area. So glad I found…read morethis one. I was a little apprehensive at first because it wasn't in the town of Laramie. I couldn't have been more pleased with my stay at Twisters! Guernsey is a no traffic light town. Very peaceful and quiet. There is also so much to do in the area, besides Fort Laramie! Guernsey State Park is a MUST see! It's not far at all from Twisters. Probably about a 5 minute drive. The room I stayed in was cozy. It had everything I needed, cozy bed, and own bathroom (HUGE) with shower. The room rate was very reasonable as well. I was impressed when walking into the room. They provide some complimentary water bottles and some fresh baked goods (cookie and brownie) from the restaurant/bakery directly downstairs. It's those little gestures that mean a lot! One of the owners will communicate with you prior to your arrival. A code will be provided for the back door to the lodging area. It's located on the second floor. You will need to walk up a black metal staircase at the rear of the building to access the lodging floor. Another note is that it was quiet. I slept well and dozed off at a reasonable hour with no loud partying or people making noise. I loved that there was a lounge area right outside the room I stayed in. There were two cozy chairs with pillows and a table to rest your coffee on while reading a book. I used this area to map out the day's adventures while drinking my morning coffee. Also, the restaurant downstairs serves breakfast. Twisters will give you breakfast coupons for a free entree. Any extras that you order are additional charges. The entree and beverage are free. This goes with your stay, of course. Also, their meals are big! If you order the pancakes, plan on skipping lunch! I highly recommend the breakfast burrito! The owners are very friendly. It should be noted, the lodging (hotel) and restaurant are the same business. Don't forget to grab some goodies from the bakery before you depart. They provide wonderful options from cookies to sweetbreads. Loved that they have a bakery with homemade sweets. I highly recommend this place! I plan on returning for 4th of July weekend. I want to get back to Devil's Tower and marvel at the cosmos at night. Looking forward to returning!

The best place to have a delicious & proper tea ;)…read more The owner & hostess is not only lovely & kind, she's also but ridiculously talented in the kitchen. Everything she serves is makes from scratch & it's all fabulous! If I lived nearby I'd be the size of a house :D I got the 'sweet & savory' (I think that's what it's called) that includes sandwiches, scones (best I've ever had), coffee cake (to die for!!), other pastries &, my favorite, lemon curd,,,,,, ohhhhh myyyy, lol. She has a wide variety of teas & my first choice is the Laramie Lemon Creme tea. The home is decorated in Victorian style. It's tasteful, interesting & creates the perfect ambiance for a long leisurely tea with friends. If you're ever anywhere near this area do yourself a big favor & stop by for brunch :) You won't regret it! Currently the hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday, 9 am - 12 noon, but I would call ahead just to make sure they're open. Also, if you have a larger group you can call ahead for reservations & the days & times are more flexible.

It was our anniversary and we wanted to do a tea luncheon so we made the trip down to Ft. Laramie…read more There are so many wonderful things about this little teahouse...starting with the owner that was so sweet and knows how to make the tea experience special. We went with the rose tea and it paired magnificently with the fresh out of the oven scones and the creme and lemon curd was exceptional. The second course was a tortellini soup, cucumber sandwich and pineapple cream sandwich, followed by chocolate mini bunt which is my hubby's favorite. The teahouse itself is just darling ...its a must if you are in the area and teas are your thing...thank you for making our anniversary so special!;)
