Quick dinner here while passing through Laramie. I had read other reviews about how busy it is, so I got on the wait list about 45 minutes we got to town. Perfect timing, as we were seated about 5 minutes later. We started with the fried pickles, delicious, but definitely not needed as we had too much food coming our way. I got the hatch green chili burger with chicken (SO happy they will sub checking as I don't love burgers). It was hotter than expected- not sure if it's always like that. The fries were delicious and my family reported the other burgers were great as well. Service was fast and friendly. The place is tiny with some fun decor.

You can't go wrong with a classic burger! We stopped by this place during our visit to UWyo. We stopped by on a weekday around lunch time and our wait was about 20min. We had been here before so we knew it was worth the wait. I'm super picky about tater tots but these were deliciously crispy! The classic burger is perfect for a picky eater. The peanut butter & jelly wings were definitely different but not terrible.

Oh my gawd! The Shaymus Tots are so good! The burgers are all outstanding. Best fries that I have ever had outside of my own kitchen. Have a "Laradise" cocktail but ProTip have Hayley make it for you. Ten out of ten. Near the railroad tracks and it's fun to watch the trains roll by for added downtown Laramie ambience.

We stepped into a quaint neighborhood burger joint and was not disappointed in the least. Scrumptious yummy burgers. Our waitress kept our drinks full and checked on us often. I highly recommend!

Barnchos but with fries. Lots of flavors!

Small bar and grill with big flavor. Juicy burgers, gooey Mac n cheese and luckily the waitress offered a half order of the nachos. I substituted fries instead of chips. All were delicious. Brought waters for the table as soon as we sat down. Meals delivered timely. No complaints!

Had my 16 year old son. It was a 55 minute wait. There were multiple seats that were at a short half countertop. Asked if we could sit there, they said no they don't serve food there. Tried to sit at the bar, it's 21 and older, respect that. Asked to sit at the high top table next to the bar. They said no it was 21 and older in the whole area. However next to the high top table we asked to sit at. At the VERY next high top table was a 3 year old. IN the bar area but yet my 16 year old son couldn't sit there. I would have taken a picture to share but being minors, I left the picture out. Heard they were the best wings in town. Guess they aren't the most honest or best service in town. Received the message attached. The question was asked if we went to the game because my son had a wristband on. I answered yes. Husband said the bartender would ID him. Once I realized he was asking if the 16 year old was 21 because of the wristband, I realized MY mistake, that is when I asked to sit next to the 3 year old. Didn't realize under the age of 21 only applied to customers, not the owner 3 year old son eating in the same bar area. Privileges of owning a business. I'm glad I could give the publicity the message sent to me is stating I should have taken the picture for.

    Bacon cheeseburger and fries.

Food was delicious. Bacon cheeseburger with fries. Bartender was friendly and on top of things. I would come back again if ever in Laramie again! This place was also very busy so if you're able to, I'd go early rather than late. Might be waiting a moment. But definitely worth it in my opinion

Solid 5 star experience today and this is my 1670th review and glad it was this place! Nestled in the very small downtown area of Laramie, Wyoming is this hidden gem located on the street corner. I would plan ahead because this place isn't very big and once checked in you have to wait outside just because there is no room inside to wait. We had a short wait and once sat our amazing waitress Taylor was outstanding! She pushed this over the top for me and solidified a 5 star rating for me. For lunch we started off with some of their signature hit wings and they did just that! Delivered on the flavor and just the right amount of kick! Perfect cooked and sauces. For lunch I had the double green chili burger add extra back and green chilis. Served with tater tot's. The burger was outstanding! This is a manly sized portion and I couldn't even finish it. Next time I will get the single because my eyes were bigger than my stomach. The tots while not homemade were perfectly crispy. Fry sauce and chipotle ketchup were perfect dipping sauces. This was an outstanding experience and while there didn't realize but Guy Fieri has been here as well! Now I know why. What a great find and will for sure be back!

We're traveling from Steamboat Springs CO to Philly so this was our first meal stop around 1430hrs after fueling up at the Mavericks. Very friendly people and very good service!! Sat at the bar so we didn't have to wait for a table.Olivia our server was wonderful! Ordered the Smokey wings xtra crispy and the Plainsman burger w/tots. Wings were perfectly cooked and the Burger was juicy Hope you enjoy your experience as much as we did!!

Hickory Smoked wings with honey bbq sauce. Huge meaty wings. Yum.

The food was delightful and service outstanding. My sister and I share a great smash burger and hickory smoked wings w honey big sauce. Both were great Saw on Triple D last year so worked in to the trip this year.

Man's BFF in front of Born in a Barn

Had to do takeout, because my furry BFF not allowed in the patio . Completely understand since my puppy isn't a service animal. Now I'm waiting for my Popper burger takeout order. They make beef smash burgers and don't normally cook to order. Was hoping for a bison burger as we're driving through Wyoming. Sadly Roxie's on Grand wasn't open. Will report on the Popper burger when I get back to my hotel... Okay here's the review on the burger: Let me start that I really wanted to like "Born in a Barn" I mean no one goes out to eat a bad meal... Now maybe it's because I ordered takeout that the burger was sub par. I mean I couldn't eat it hot/fresh from the kitchen. So I get why the beef tallow fries were soggy. But the burger was really well (over/not good) cooked (it wasn't even remotely juicy). Presentation left a lot to be desired. The kitchen staff is really sloppy. There was no top half of the bun (I didn't order a low carb burger), so the raspberry pepper jelly was missing completely! The lettuce, tomato, pickles and onion were present and sitting in a sizable puddle of water. Fortunately, the serving container had sections, so the bottom half of the bun I did get, wasn't soggy. Now, if I ATE IN (but I didn't) at "BIAB" the missing top half of the bun with spicy raspberry jelly wouldn't have been MIA... maybe the burger would still have had some "juice". The fries could have been crispy. But alas, I can't judge something that didn't happen. So one star is all I can give their burger from a takeout order. Unfortunately, I couldn't call BIAB, because they don't pickup and it says their mailbox is full. Maybe my only recourse it's to dispute the charge.

Why would you get rid of wings? Literally the only thing we went for. Used to go every week, not anymore.

You got rid of wings?? Ever heard the saying 'if it ain't broke, don't F it up.... Wings were 75% of why this was a great bar with food.

Great selection and variety. It feels a little upscale here so doesn't always feel as comfy for a casual lunch with kids. I got a chicken ceasar salad and it was okay, nothing special. We loved the cheese curds and the kids meal options were good. We had a fantastic server, Miko/Mico. So helpful with the kids, was patient and checked in often. Love that. I'll always give them a chance as it's been around in town for decades now.

Maybe the draw here is the drinks, I wouldn't know. We started off with the pepper jack cheese curds, which were actually pretty tasty, but it's hard to mess up cheese curds so not too many kudos there. Our entrees were extremely disappointing. The burger we got was dry, and looked like it had been nuked in a microwave. Frankly, Freddys burgers look more appetizing than the one we received. The sweet potato fries looked freshly unfrozen and sad. I got the crispy Mac and cheese with the brisket option. Brisket was fatty and dry, and the Mac and cheese was such a small portion, the 9 pieces of brisket they gave me made my plate look small. For Mac and cheese, it was alright. I've made better with $12 at home, but the brisket was extremely disappointing for the markup they charged. I almost forgot to mention, there was only about 12-13 people here, with 1/4 of those being individuals sitting at the bar. It took us close to 40 minutes to get our food! Absolute insanity since there was almost nobody here. Better yet, the food arrived lukewarm! Service was fine. Ambience was nice, the actual building itself was nice to sit in, but the food was so sad and overpriced, I'll probably never set foot in here again. I can get better Mac and cheese in the Walmart fresh food section and a better burger at Freddy's 10 minutes down the road.

The selection of items seemed to be fairly productive upon first look, but the prices are absolutely inflated at almost double the price for some of the selections they offer. Regarding the management/ownership, the staff is not well versed in the different kinds off spirits offered and was not able to effectively answer my questions regarding what was in stock, how often "allocated" items were received, and comparable products to ones that were out of stock. The manager is a husky, proud fellow who all but accused me of trying to resell bourbon on the black market when I wished to return an item but did not have a receipt as his staff did not provide one. He claimed that all sales were final (which they technically can be according to Wyoming State Law, but are not because of the Federal Law including the "Cooling off Rule"). All in all, I do not appreciate people or institutions that do bad business... pretty much everything that I experienced, personally, was VERY bad business. My recommendation is to go and talk to Deb - the manager at Ridley's - or to do business with EJ at The Ranger. You will get more bang for your buck and will have a warmer, more enjoyable experience.
