We stopped over on a Friday night for dinner while passing through town. We walked in and were seated immediately. They had a great on draft beer selection and we decided to try out the Buffalo fries. They were so good!! Loaded with sauce, bleu cheese, and fried chicken pieces. The kids split a small pizza (which was good sized 8-10in) And we split the large swiss army. Lots of toppings and delicious! Stopped in for lunch on a road trip hoping to be in and out as reviews said service was "fast or quick." We were greeted by a nice hostess at the front and seated and offered waters but was then forgotten about for ~7 minutes before we flagged down the bartender to take our water order... we eventually ordered food with our actual waiter (who seemed like he could not be bothered to deal with us) and it took over THIRTY (probably forty) MINUTES to come out. I understand it's Black Friday/a holiday and they're busy, but the restaurant was not even fully packed. When the food eventually came out, it was underwhelming and not worth the price paid or time waited - pizza texture was off. We were delayed and hit the road later than planned because service was much slower than we anticipated. Learned our lesson and would not stop here again when passing through Laramie. read more

Had a chance to try out their burger, pizza, and pad thai fries, and all were very good. The burger could have used a bit more seasoning but the patty and all the toppings were cooked just perfectly. Pizza was nice and crispy with a good chew, and the toppings were plentiful. I didn't think the fries reminded me much of pad thai but the flavor was really good anyway. Service was stellar and very friendly. It's a smaller spot with a handful of tables and the bar area takes about half the space, but it all feels very cozy. Would be worth another visit! read more

Been to Laramie a few times before, so I've been to several of the restaurants in town. This one was new to me, though, so I decided to stop there on a cross country trek to Vegas. It was a good decision. Wasn't overly busy for a Thursday night. Seating was immediate, and the place was quite cozy. The bar area is separated from the seating by a wall, so it didn't feel like a pub. Water and beverages were provided quickly, and the wait for the food was reasonable. Started with the Pad Thai Fries which had all four elements...sweet, salt, acid, and heat. Definitely recommend trying them! I ordered a Kingbird burger which is tribute to Elvis and his famous peanut butter and nanner sandwich. As the menu says...Don't doubt it! The flavors worked together, and the peanut butter was even good on the fries which were already well seasoned. There were desserts to choose from even though I didn't have any. I suppose any place could be hit or miss as the reviews here seem to suggest. Tonight for me we a hot, and I have no reservations about highly recommending a stop here for an excellent meal. I went for lunch. I was looking for something off the beaten path. I had a burger - it was amazing. Bacon, Gouda cheese, grilled onions. My husband had a calzone. It was STUFFED full of goodies. The basil, garlic and butter dip that it came with was also delicious on my fries. The service was perfect! It was comfortable, low lights - which are perfect for me. While driving through Wyoming we had a dinner break in Laramie. When we looked up local restaurants (we don't like eating at chain places on trips) we found Crowbar & Grill. What a great place. Very eclectic in menu and in the design of the decor. Equal parts interesting and fun. I had the Bulgogi Fries and the waitress informed me that was what Guy Fieri had when he visited the place for one of the episodes of Diner's Drive in's & Dives. BONUS. It was delicious! One of my kiddos had the Pitchfork pizza (ricotta & tomatoes made her happy) and my wife and 17 year old split a burger, salad & 1/2 order of Parmesan Truffle Fries. All of it was extremely delicious and we had leftovers. If I find myself in Laramie again, I will be back. read more

Food was disgusting. 20$ for a burger that was as flat and hard as a frisbee. Wife got a piece of pizza that was undercooked. Servers, although kind, were the dirty. Dirty hands and dirty long finger nails. They put those dirty paws all over the top of your glass when they bring your drinks out. And his dirty thumbs were in the food when he gripped the plates. Also, brought us new utensils but was holding them by the mouth side. It didn't help that I had a front row view of the kitchen and the chef wiping his nose and not using gloves cooking. This place was delicious 8 years ago when I lived in Laramie. Definitely went down hill. If you want a good burger go to Born in a Barn. read more

We love this place! Every time we are driving to and from Colorado we stop here. Their Pad Thai fries are the best! Staff is super friendly as well whether you are eating in the restaurant or taking the food to go. We had our young kids with us and they offered to cut their burgers in half so they were easier for them to eat in the car. read more

Arrived with a party of four and was immediately greeted by the pleasant staff and the delicious smells. Local art covered the walls and the theme was snow lodge. Our server was great, she was attentive and checked in regularly. I ordered the Falcon Burger, that had caramelized onions, horseradish aioli and feta cheese along with lettuce, pickles and onions. As a side I order the poutine fries. The whole meal was absolutely delicious! I was skeptical about the horseradish aioli at first but, it was not spicy at all just the perfect amount added. The fries were spectacular and I highly recommend them. Overall this is a good burger and fries joint that is great to have a few beers over dinner with fiends. We visited Crowbar & Grill several times during our stay near Laramie. Their burgers are pretty great. They have something for everyone and some unusual but delicious combos. The fries are also very good, they also offer several different varieties. Their drink menu is, you guessed it....different. We enjoyed the cucumber fizz. The service is very good. Our servers were attentive even though they were very busy. Despite being very busy you can still have a conversation. The place is small but cute and their bar is pretty cool too. Not super hungry... thought we'd try their pizza. They sell it by the slice and they had been voted with high awards for their pizza.... so why not. Now, I don't think we're "snobs" about pizza... but we know what we like. I asked the bartender..... is it super thin or does it have some "chew". Didn't want the super thick Chicago deep dish. She said.... Dough is made fresh every day and they make it to order, hand tossed. Very nice. Also, she confirmed.... "in her opinion", it was not super crispy thin and it does have a chew. So we ordered the pizza. Weeellllllll, it was not Chicago thick, but it was pretty darn close to being thin. Too thin for us.. .... BUT.... It had great flavor!! Kudos to the Chef and his sauce. Delicious!! This pizza slice was NOT the makings of the Bartender..... she was super! Yes, we'd go back..... but not order the pizza. They should really change the name from "crowbar" to "oh no bar". This place has really gone downhill and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Yesterday I got there around 5pm and waiting for 2 friends to join me. I got a drink and then we Al got food. The whole experience felt very rushed. I wasn't even half way done with a slice of pizza and our server is asking us if we plan on getting anything else, how are we splitting checks, etc. She was like this the whole night so you could tell she wanted us to leave. We ended up getting dessert and a while after that a hostess came up to our table and asked us to leave because a party of 6 were waiting to be sat. It was a Wednesday Night in Laramie so I didn't understand but just said "okay?". Well as we were leaving the party of 6 decided they were leaving too (turns out I actually knew them) so Crowbar asked us to leave for nothing. The kicker was there were other people there who were sitting there before us that weren't asked to leave, so why they chose us I don't know.
