Second time here had the Bacon on Brioche sandwich very tasty and warm. Coffee is also good. Last time we had a Margherita pizza and a sausage pizza they were both very good. Nice crust and had that wood fire taste. Came back again for a third time everything was still great and they were jamming 80s music today. read more

I just want to say how grateful I am that there is a coffee shop open within a reasonable walking distance from Illinois Tech's campus. The coffee gets the job done, and I was happy to see almond milk out for me to put in my coffee on my own. (Am I setting my expectations too low?) I was a little worried that there wasn't WiFi, but if you ask the barista, they'll give you a cute little clipboard with the Network's name and password. I will likely continue coming back to do work as it is a much better atmosphere than the nearby Starbucks location on 35th and State. read more

Love their stubbies and sandwiches-- I've tried 5-6 of them and haven't been disappointed. Their pastries are also very tasty. High quality ingredients, good flavor balance. Coffee is high standard good-- not spectacular for a coffee snob like me but still pretty good. The staff are always friendly and attentive. What I like about the food is that it's not too heavy, not too lean--just right. I've never tried their salads but they usually have a few salad options too. The interior is connected to "stix and brix" if you're in the mood for pizza. The food is very good value. I can be a big eater but their "single" sandwiches are pretty filling. You can do a double stubby for $10 vs $5.50 for a single. Note until 11:30a they are on the breakfast menu, which is unavailable after 11:30a. The only minor complaint I have is parking is hard sometimes maybe related to Guaranteed Rate Field. read more

I had the cauliflower pizza. OMG - Best ever! I have tried a ton of cauliflower pizza because I'm gluten intolerant. You can't even tell. It is that delicious!! Definitely a hidden gem in Bridgeport. I also had a few salads. Delicious. My daughter is a very picky eater and she loves their sandwiches, salads and pizzas. read more

Talk about service and great food. In town visiting, and just missed breakfast, stopped serving at 11:30 btw. The hostess assured us lunch was just as good and she was right. Burrata crostini was FANTASTIC and the turkey/provolone and grilled chicken stubbys were great. Iced coffee was creamy and delicious too. What a nice place to stop at just a few minutes away from Sox-35th, and then another few minutes walk to Illinois Tech. The interior is inviting, and not too over-the-top like a lot of newer coffee houses tend to be. Admittedly I had trouble finding it from the outside by walking, and another customer had to look around a bit too after parking. Check in for that free pastry, y'all! They're pretty big muffins, cakes, cookies, etc., especially for free! I had the flour-free chocolate cookie, so good. I could tell the chef in the back took pride in her work and knew her customers well. The barista was nice, my nitro cold coffee was quite good as well. Definitely worth a stop by after a Sox game or if you're on your way to Tech or on your way back north to the Loop. read more

I was able to check out the new cafe in the neighborhood today and it is a welcome addition. The interior is clean and minimalistic, which I like. I tried the gunpowder green tea and my friend had the Nutella-peanut butter smoothie. We both enjoyed our drinks quite a bit. We were also greeted by a nice woman, who appeared to be either the owner or manager. She was kind and even offered some samples from the pizza place next door (stix and brix). Service on my first visit was top notch. I asked the aforementioned woman if they plan to add breakfast sandwiches to the menu. She said it is in the plans. I look forward to it. read more

I've been somewhat of a regular here for a couple of years now and I have never left the building dissatisfied for any reason. There was one minor problem with my food from well over a a year ago now and and the problem was quickly and professionally remedied. I recommend the matcha green tea, The "Red eye" coffee for a good morning eye opener & the "Brown line smoothie" which taste like a chocolate shake ! Came in on a casual Friday afternoon with my SO to grab their house minestrone soup and a single Italian Stubby. Man oh man was it delicious! The service was excellent, food came out quick, and it was everything I could ever imagine. As a college student this is an ideal cafe. I am so thankful this cafe is here! Finally a cafe in a close walk to ICO campus that is spacious enough to study. The staff is so friendly, they actually checked up on us multiple times to check if there was anything that they could do for us (refills, WiFi password, see how our food is since our grilled cheese we got was the first day it was on the menu - by the way it was fantastic). The music is the perfect volume to not be distracting while studying. I also had a great blueberry muffin and the best cold brew I've had in a long time. I will be studying here every week. I have never written a review of a place, but they truly deserve it, and with their fantastic staff I have no doubt they will be successful. Thank you so much! read more

Excellent service!! The food was amazing. We will definitely come back. The bruschetta was as good as it gets. We all commented on how good the chicken tasted from the chicken caesar salad!! We had a couple pizzas which hit the spot. I ate my whole pizza. My wife said the lasagna was excellent, and trust me if she says that, it must be so. She is very picky on her Italian food. We ordered a meatball for the baby and we all had a hard time not keeping it for ourselves. It was very fresh and without that freezer burn taste so many places have. For dessert we had the strawberry gelato and pistachio gelato with a brownie. The plates were completely cleaned by the time we were done. And of course i finished it off with a latte to go. Really good food at a resonable price. Pretty quick too. My girlfriend and I live down the street and regularly stop in for breakfast and at the pizza place next door for dinner.
