Kugel's Deli - Gross and. After feeling about this

Kugel's Deli

"When you noodle with a doodlin' song I like it so much,…read moreI'll doodle some more" (Peggy Lee) Were you stumped by the word "Kugel"? Kugel is a traditional Jewish noodle casserole. And that word makes perfect sense as the namesake of this wonderful little Framingham deli. Their menu is loaded with the ethnic delights you'll find in any NY Style Deli - Reuben and Rachel sandwiches, Hot Pastrami, Bagels and Lox, Whitefish Salad, Potato Latkes, Matzoh Ball Soup, Herring, Kishka, Challah French Toast, and yes........... Noodle Kugel. We had checked out their deep menu the day before and knew what we wanted - a Whitefish & Lox Platter ($25) with a choice of Bagel, a choice of cream cheese served with lettuce, onions and tomatoes, and cucumbers. We added an extra bagel for $1.75. Now, I have to tell you that we were incredulous when this huge platter of very reasonably priced platter of food was delivered to our table. I bet there was between a third and a half pound of lox, plenty of vegetable cream cheese, a ramekin of whitefish salad, and a garden of lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, thinly sliced purple onions, and cucumber slices. The bagels were pretty big and were everything you want in a bagel -nice and chewy/crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. We each had one half of our respective bagels with cream cheese, lox, and onions, and the other half with whitefish, lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes. One customer service caught my eye immediately -those big tomato slices had been carefully trimmed to take out the core. That drives me batshit crazy when a restaurant apathetically doesn't do that. Staying on the customer service theme, our server was very attentive, with plenty of checkbacks and coffee refills. We packed up our leftovers and finished them off the next day. So that fish yielded us four servings. I promise you this....... The next time we are looking for breakfast between Boston and Worcester... I know where we'll end up. We might even get some Kugel at Kugel!

I had a very generous corned beef, and she ordered her favorite, a Reuben. Unfortunately, her sandwich was not what she expected: the toast was burned; the sandwich was sloppily made (put together;) and the whole sandwich was soggy and falling apart. The whole experience was very disappointing for her. See photos:

I am officially writing a review after ordering from Bsisters for over a year. Bsisters breakfast…read moresandwiches taste bland, but great with my hot sauce at home. Everytime I order avocado on their online website I get charges from $1 to $4. I order here atleast 1x a week for the last year. I order through them, uber, or go pick it up. Atleast half of the time they give me the wrong order. I do not have the time to constantly be returning to the cafe because they give me the wrong order. We ordered and picked up food within 15 minutes. We normally check the bags now but this time since we went inside to pick up instead of drive through we didn't think we needed to. The bagel was soggy and it was the wrong order despite the labeled white baggie they pack the food in being correct. You pay for avocado and they give you 2 slices but other days they give you half of an avocado. They lack consistency. The owner is a sweet lady but her staff consistently mess up orders and their charging system is off. They recently just changed their website and we were hopping this was going to fix their issue. It did not. I'm so disappointed In this cafe because it's so close to our home yet they get our orders wrong every other time.

I've switched up the ham to their bacon which is delicious! Thick cut, crispy and tons of it! I also recommend getting an extra side of hollandaise because it's THAT good! Kids miniature chocolate chip pancakes are filling and pretty large. Dine-in they have kids cute coloring page and yummy hot coco! I had the chance to dine-in and the inside is decorated nicely and I love the light coming from all the large windows. I wish there were more booth seating available, the hard wooden chairs are not that comfy. - Small waiting area in front and outdoors - outdoor seating when it's nice out - online ordering avail for easy pickup and delivery (by 3rd party) - share parking lot but usually pretty full, overflow in Whole Foods lot avail - you can now reserve tables! Yah! Note: $10 no-show fee

The place itself was clean, neat, and not very large. We ordered the regular eggs Benedict (around $21) and the chicken and waffle eggs Benedict (around $30). Between the two, I definitely preferred the chicken and waffle Benedict. It was more savory, whereas the regular eggs Benedict also savory but came with a red sauce that was surprisingly sweet when I was expecting something more traditional and savory. Overall, I would come here for a special occasion, as the price point feels a bit high for what you get. You can definitely find a similar eggs Benedict elsewhere for cheaper. That said, I do recommend trying the green hot sauce they have. I thought it paired really well and tasted better with the dish.
