They gone done a really good job with this mall, y'all. I appreciated it years ago visiting when I was on tour and it was basically nothing, but still a hot spot for UT students. Rundown yet popular students despite not really having anything. Now they've turned it into a real fancy violin... um, I mean mall, not sure why my predictive text thinks this mall is a string instrument but anyway. So several of my friends whom are students head down here often to hang out and get boba from the popular and over-busy Gong Cha here. So it's alive, and largely because there's a bubble tea shop and a whole bunch of TVs for you to watch in the food court. So if you're at UT and spoiled by stuff to do... this is just an extra place for you to hang out and spend money and I think it's a great location and has some cool stuff as well. Parking is awful though unless you pay for the garage.

The directory listed two game stores (Resurrection and Cartridge) that sounded interesting but after wandering around for 10 minutes I could find neither. Considering how tiny the mall is i must surely be an idiot for not finding the shops, right? Found an internal directory and found the exact spots. Went. Nothing. Both closed down. Easy to miss, I suppose because they were each surrounded on both sides with more closed shops. So the external directory, the internal directory, and the website (I later checked) are all wrong. Obviously "The Weitzman Group" maintains a high standard. It has an army recruiter, a nail salon, a convenience store, a hair salon, a food court, a Princeton Review, and a textbook store (which also was listed incorrectly, both in name and in the hours of operation posted online). I'm sure, containing the "college essentials," it's a nice air-conditioned place to get relax when you live in Dobie apartments right next door, but as far as malls go this place is a piece of shit. Superfluous. As useless as the three Japanese good luck cats sitting next to each other in the window of "Funny Nails" salon. Any appeal of this place extends only from convenience and no other aspect, and if you're not a UT student (who can't be bothered to walk across the 50-feet across the street to the drag,) then there is no convenience in this place, and thus no reason for it's existence.

It is also important to consider whether this type of decision-making and lack of awareness is contributing to the company's declining or regressing revenue. When an organization loses sight of how its actions are perceived by the public, customers, and the broader community, there can be significant consequences for its reputation, customer confidence, and ultimately its financial performance. Quite frankly, I am shaking my head at the level of poor judgment demonstrated throughout this process. A situation of this nature should have been recognized and addressed before it ever reached the stores.

You can start with the beautiful shoes, and then move over to look at the various unique displays throughout the store. I found purses, jackets, and other items. Very difficult to leave the store without buying something, and I found something small enough to fit in my suitcase:) It appears as though they rotate the offerings pretty frequently. A friend was recently in town visiting and asked that I go back and get a picture of the dress in the window. She is thinking about purchasing it (or having me purchase it and send it to her lol). Anyway, here's something to know: items displayed in the window have waitlists for folks intersting in purchasing. Anytime I have been in the shop, including today, service is friendly and helpful. The store is clean and the vintage pieces they carry are in pristine condition. You know what I like to say at this point-shop local, support small businesses!

Interestingly, the store combines vintage items with some modern items. For example, socks, some jewelry and sunglasses are non-vintage. While the store is small, it is easy to browse. In addition, clothing and shoe items are spaced apart where you can easily view them and ferret through the racks. The value of items are reasonably priced and some items as low as $5. I did not find anything I could not live without, however, I will definitely pop in from time to time. Also, there is a fair amount of free parking. The store manager was super helpful and personable.

I've been a long time customer of Free People for about 15 years. I love their whole vibe and…read moreaesthetic. This particular store has been better in the past but is still a good store. They used to have a sale rack which was fun to browse through for good deals now they don't have it anymore. They also had a rack for returns that perhaps weren't offered in store and only on line. That too is gone. It seems they try and direct more sales to the app or website instead of a store. However it's nice to be able to try on and see the merchandise in person since their sizing is all over the place. It's a hassle to order on line and then the size is unsuitable or the quality is cheap. The staff is standoffish and not super eager to assist in making sales. I'm a solo shopper anyway and don't need others to make decisions for me on the merchandise. I'm familiar with what type of products FP has. It's right across the street from Whole Foods and has plenty of parking.
