My college age daughter has gone in TWICE to cancel her membership (she's using OUR credit card, btw), and they told her to come back between 9-1, when the male manager/owner is working. My daughter is a student and cannot go in during that time frame because she's in classes! We're paying for a service that she's not even using and Spa Tan isn't making it easy for her. Now she has to call the owner and figure out how to cancel her membership. I would avoid this place at all costs!!! read more

I have been going to Spa Tan for about a year now for spray tans, and never had any issues. However, when I went in for my most recent spray tan, they had upped the price from $30 to $50. I didn't mind because they explained they got a new system, so I was excited to try it, but the next day when I washed the spray tan off, my face was all splotchy and peeling, and half my body was darker than the other half. I was upset because I paid $50 for a spray tan for it to turn out not looking good. I called to see if I could get a refund, and the staff told me the owner would get in touch, but it never happened. Spa Tan is THE BEST salon for all your needs! I go specifically for the red light and tanning beds. I've tanned or have been a member at probably every salon within a 30 mile radius and let me tell you when I say this place is second to none, it really is! The owner is the most professional/ experienced/ knowledgeable(I could go on and on), the staff is great! But what we all go there for are the beds and yes they are the best! Best red light bed I've EVER USED same goes for their tanning beds. I've never had an issue with a bed nor staff. I honestly have nothing but great things to say about Spa Tan! Been tanning here for years so I can vouch that the beds are amazing and high quality. I've now switched to mystic tanning and am equally impressed. The owner has great mystic tan booths along with custom air brush tans as well. Also offered are a variety of additives, like things to enhance your color, accelerators and even rid the smell if you like. The owner and all staff are friendly, professional and welcoming plus the pricing is fair so I will make a longer drive to come here and skip other competitors along the way. I got an air brush tan while I was in town ...and it was the BEST spray tan . The formula they use (Norvell) and the Evolve machine left me with the most natural beautiful color, NO streaks ( not a one) and it did not have any disgusting odor or even rub off on any clothing. It lasted longer than most other spray tans I have gotten me continued to look great for a good week. Gabby did mine and she did such an amazing job - told me exactly how and where to put the barrier lotion so I wouldn't have weird looking lines on my hands and feet. She was sweet to boot and had zero wait. They were super easy to work with booking the appointment and really made it work for my time. I was in and out , no waiting . The salon was so clean too. Love this place! I've gotten my first spray tan here and it was amazing. The employee was extremely professional and made sure my needs were met. I also got the unlimited tanning package for about $50 a month and the beds are amazing. I always do bed #11 which is like a custom tan so you don't burn. You scan the lightest places on your body prior to starting (forehead and wrist). It's seriously the best bed ever, it plays soft music, has body ventilation and face mist. I planned to cancel my account when I let the manager talk me into freezing it for a couple of months. He assured me that my account would be frozen and I wouldn't be out any money. Since then, I decided to cancel completely. Over the past month, I made MULTIPLE attempts to call and cancel during regular business hours, but no one ever answered. I even left a voicemail stating my intentions to cancel and a phone number for them to reach me, but I never heard from them. Two days ago, I noticed an automatic draft from Spa Tan out my bank account, so again called immediately, and Chad (manager) finally answered. I explained my situation, and he stated he could not refund me since I had already been charged. He also stated that he had an email address and I should have contacted him by email or stopped by the shop instead of calling on the phone. According to the paperwork, I couldn't cancel the account while it was frozen. It's my fault for not reading the paperwork, but a business phone should be answered and when he orally explained how the freezing process works, he should have explained completely without leaving out important details. With blatant disregard to communication, I would advise you take your business elsewhere. read more
