I figured I'd have to wait since I didn't get there until about 3:45/3:50 but nope! Everyone from front desk to technicians were so nice and welcoming. I was honestly really worried after seeing the yelp reviews being so negative but the google reviews being so positive. I'd also like to mention I'm very picky about where I get my nails done as I'm an esthetician (5 years) and have experience working in nail salons (2 years) so I'm very aware of board standards for cleanliness and I can say I'm VERY happy. worst manicure, and pedicure I have ever gotten there is nail polish all over my toes my nails on my fingers from my gel manicure are all uneven, and they did not do the color I asked, for they didn't clean underneath my toes. I came in to get a set of gel x nails done and was the worst experience I've ever had. There was no nail prep done, cuticles were not trimmed and mine clearly needed to be. When she was applying the nails she wasn't letting them cure long enough under the light and they were falling off while I was one there. Multiple of my nails are extremely crooked and I SAID this is crooked can you fix this and I was told my nail grew that way, I do my own nails at home usually and I can confirm it does not. She cut my middle finger, because she put the nail directly on my uncut cuticle.after having a bad week and wanting to treat myself paying $75 for the worst nails I ever have is very disappointing. I have a friend who has never been to cosmetology school but she finishes a French tip full set in an hour (check out her page) that's who will be fixing mine. It took 2 techs to fix one crooked nail (that isn't fixed) and I was there for 2 hrs. When I showed the picture of the shape and length I wanted it took 2 nail techs to figure out how to do it. and when I was visibly upset after my experience I was told i could get fixed for free which was appreciated by the receptionist, But I declined as I had requested it to be fixed 3 times before that offer. It is easy to make an appointment. I just get your standard manicure and pedicure. They are satisfactory. What I don't like is that every single time I have gone it is like I don't exist. My manicurist doesn't speak to me but speaks to all the other employees around him in Vietnamese. I find it incredibly rude. If you don't want to engage with your customer that is fine. But the constant communication with others in another language is not acceptable. As a nurse there was a rule. "English only at the nurses station." We could speak whatever language we wanted in our break room. I won't be back. read more

Went to gett a pedicure and manicure. All polish was gel. The next day I wake up to go to work and the polish is chipping on all my nails. I return to the salon to get everything corrected. 2 days later I was back in the same situation. Nail polish chipping, return to the salon and I'm being asked what am I doing as the polish shouldn't be chipping. First time at this salon after going to Diva Nails because my nail technician moved to Spa One! Biggest mistake of my life! I had a gel manicure, which I have had done for years!! I got a fungal infection on EVERY nail!! This infection is so bad I had to contact my physician and was put on anti fungal medication that I will need to take for MONTHS!! He said "well she is with someone else you will have to wait" I said I understand that considering I'm 20 mins early. I probably wouldn't have written this review based on the lack luster job on my nails alone. But after how it was handled when I complained, to me was completely unacceptable. The fact that I'm even writing a review says a lot because I NEVER have. I called not long after I left because my nails had completely smudged off, and I dried for like 20+ minutes after being told to wait 10. They told me they could not refund me over the phone and to come in. I drove all the way back to the salon and they told me they misunderstood and would not refund me at all. I'm done. I have been a loyal customer since they opened. During the pandemic I continued to get my regular mani pedi and wax. Scheduled my appointments and always had a good experience. The last 3 times I have been in there - with an appointment- I am left sitting in a chair for 30 mins before anyone comes over. Today was the last straw when the teenager that sits at the front gave me ones of those "yay ok" like I was the difficult customer when all I said is that ever time I come in now they are ignoring appointments- ok you put me in a chair - but if you blocked time like other business then I wouldn't wait as long. So today after 25 mins - I left. As a walk-in I know I may have to wait but when I have an appointment. Too many nail places here to choose from. This was my first time getting a 'dip powder' manicure and I would HIGHLY recommend. I used to get a gel manicure every couple of weeks, so Jenny recommended the dip. It's slightly more expensive, but you get your value back because it lasts twice as long and is better, and therefore, healthier, on your nails! As for the experience, I gave five stars because the technicians were kind, friendly, and paid very close attention to detail. I, at first, picked a color that wasn't available in dip powder. Jenny went out of her way to create the color I wanted by combining the dip colors. Will definitely be back! read more

Walked in on Saturday and told the wait was 30 minutes for 2 mani-pedi's. Waiting 45 minutes to be sat in a chair with our feet in tepid water. A tech started on one of us after 10 minutes in the water however I was left for just over 20 minutes. By then, the water was petty much room temperature. The lady doing my Pedi (maybe the owner) gave the fastest pedi ever at 13 minutes (yes, I was clock watching) so she could get to her noon appointment that had also been sitting with her feet in the water for at least 20 minutes. Great part was she was asked away and no one said a word about the manicure. At this point, I gave up when I was handed my slip to pay $30 for the pedicure. We had high hopes for the new spot but are giving up after 3 tries. read more

I went in for a full set and was so specific, with many pictures about how I wanted to shape of my acrylics (the most important part is the shape of the nail!) & they look horrible. Yes the paint job is bad but my main concern is that the nails are lopsided, uneven in size between both hands, and last but not least I asked for an in between of square and coffin. I am very displeased with the service I received today. I entered the establishment for the first time today and was directed to sign in on an iPad. So I proceeded to the iPad and entered my cell number, email address and name. I then sat for 10 minutes waiting my turn. Eventually a young women approached me and asked if I signed in and I replied, "yes I thought I did". There was no one to help with this process. She walked away and went back behind desk where the iPad was. She then returned to me and asked my name. I continued to wait patiently for my turn as all of the nail techs were busy. Eventually a gentlemen approaches and is pointing between myself and another women as if he is not certain whose next. So I say that I was next and he saw d well who signed it. I stated that I signed in and the other lady stated the same. He said well her name appears next. I said well I was here first. He continued towards the other women to take her back. I simply got up to return my polish and exit when another tech, the one that asked me my name, said but you didn't sign in but you will be next. It will only be 10 minutes. I respectfully said no thank you it is a matter of principle. I was clearly her first. At this time the other women said you can take her first. I again replied no thank I'm good and walked out. This was completely embarrassing as everyone was watching and clearly all of the customers waiting (all 3 of us) knew who was next as well as the Denali tech. This is my third or fourth visit her and I will not come back. I walked in for a mani/pedi and was told the wait was 30 minutes. I, like a fool ended up waiting an hour and a half for horrible service. The receptionist told me to comeback in 30 mins. which I did. I know I should've gotten up and left but my feet were in the water bowl. I mentioned to another customer that it an ho7r and a half to get here when the girl told me 30 minutes. One of the male techs heard me and must've said something because when my tech finally came she was not very nice and rushed my pedicure. She was rough with my feet and even cut my toe she was so rough with the nail file, and never even apologized! The store is very nicely decorated because it is new but the service is horrible. I don't want to pay more for a pedicure that is rushed thorough. I didn't even get my manicure. I get that places get busy, but be up front and tell the people coming in how long it's really going to take. NEVER AGAIN! read more

It is a shame but I will not be returning to Spa One Nails. The place is nice and they have provided me with good mani and pedi service. However, I requested a gel color change on my nails and toes. The price was an ABSURD $65! Let me be clear, my service was to only remove gel from my nails, remove regular polish on my toes, and then paint gel polish on my nails and toes. At the end of my service, I was told the price as the price was not listed on their menu. I was told the gel color change price was set by the owners. I asked to speak to the owner and they were not there. After a bit of debate and trying to wrap my head about the ridiculous $65 fee, I paid .... but I won't be back. Too bad, they have the nicest nail facility in Calvert but they need to rethink their prices. They have lost what would have been a loyal customer. read more

HORRIBLE , got my nails done and they were so thin that they broke off easily. In 2 days one nail broke and in 5 days 2 more nails broke you go back to them to get them fixed and they just glue it together and paint it again And you wait 30 minutes or longer just for a repair.
