I think that would make for a much more comfortable experience. They also offer a discount for paying in cash. There was a bit of a language barrier that made communication challenging at times, but everyone was very nice and welcoming. Waiting area very clean and comfortable, spa like music playing in the background. I came here before about 8 years or so, things looked a little different but for the better. Yuni was my masseuse. Very petite and polite woman but man is she strong! She lead me to our room in the basement (I read another review that said it was cold and dark, not sure if that was 49th St.). Room was very comfortable and music softly playing in the background (review said that music was pumped/loud). She stated with a dry massage, with the blanket, and went into the official oil massage. Yuni definitely knows what she is doing because I didn't need to tell her about my problem spots she hit them right away! I was surprised at her strength and she literally almost had me so relaxed, I could have drooled while on the table. She did full back, legs, hips and arms. She didn't have me flip over but I got exactly what I needed so I felt no way about that. When she was done, she thanked me and I proceeded to get dressed and be on my way. Paid cash and left tip with the cashier and left feeling so relaxed. Convinced that this will be a monthly occurrence for me as it is so close to work and cost effective. Great job Snowflakes!

I recently visited Spa Next for a 90-minute full body massage, and my experience was far from satisfactory. Within just 15 minutes of the massage starting, my masseuse began arguing with someone outside the room, which was quite disruptive. To my surprise, she abruptly stopped my massage and left me unattended for over 20 minutes. When she returned, she informed me that someone else would finish the massage. During the massage, the new masseuse also engaged in arguments with someone outside the room, but thankfully, she didn't leave me unattended. However, this took away from the relaxation I was seeking. To make matters worse, over halfway through the massage, the second masseuse left me unattended for another 5 to 10 minutes while continuing her argument. Frustrated with the whole experience, I decided to get dressed and leave. As I was leaving, the masseuse tried to convince me to stay and offered a 60-minute massage instead. I declined and handed her the cash for the shortened session. To my surprise, she insisted on receiving a tip, which I found inappropriate given the subpar service I had received. I politely declined her request and left the establishment. Overall, my visit to Spa Next was extremely disappointing. The constant arguments, multiple instances of being left unattended, and the expectation of a tip despite the poor service left me with a negative impression. I would not recommend this spa based on my experience. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Spa Next Inc with Anla. She is a very professional and skilled Asian massage therapist who made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. The spa is clean, private, and perfect for anyone looking for a relaxing massage in NYC. I booked a 90-minute deep tissue massage ttotal $55. i paid tips 25 , and Anla did an amazing job. Her technique was strong yet gentle, especially on my back and shoulders. She also gave a great foot massage that helped relieve all my stress and tension. You can tell she has a lot of experience in bodywork and knows exactly how to target sore muscles. This is definitely one of the best massage spas in Manhattan for professional massage, stress relief, and full-body relaxation. I highly recommend Spa Next Inc if you are looking for quality men's spa services and expert massage therapy in New York City. I will definitely come back again. read more

WOW I AM GLAD TO GET A MASSAGE HERE. I've been searching around for years for a place that gives legitimate massage and this is the one. They have the NYS licensed therapists and it is very rare for most of the other places so this is a big plus. The environment is discreet and comfortable, they are on third floor so you have to press the door buzzer to come in, and then a lady greets me and brings me into the room. The masseuse who works on me told me that she is going to walk on my back because my muscle is stiff and tight. Each rooms have poles on the ceiling so the masseuses can walk(or dance) on your back, It is a great experience for me and I definitely will ask for that again next time :) I think I will come back next time with my girlfriend. read more

$55 for 80 minutes, how can you go wrong. The place is very clean and in a nice building. Lisa is very strong, something I really appreciate when recovering from a tough workout. This is not a place where you can expect to fall asleep during the massage. The "rooms" are not fully separate, but there are screens between them, which provides more privacy than places with just fabric. The pricing/timing is a little confusing, but no matter what you get, it's a deal. I will definitely be going back again. read more

Consider asking for a stretching massage, which is more akin to applied yoga. Another favorite is the extra-hot towel massage, where the therapist covers your back with a fresh dry towel, followed by a super-hot wet towel, covered with a third layer dry towel. While your back bakes in comfortable, full-body heat, the therapist walks on your back, moving quickly, each step pressing high heat to your back. Amazing! Fantastic service and exactly what I needed. Think old school massage. the body wraps arent tight or secured but they did cover and they request you remain in your underwear -so it didnt matter. Old school as in they may climb on top of you or sit on table with you for better pressure work (not a bad thing, I prefer this- but if youve never had this kind it could give you a 'wtf!' moment. Lol). Old school;, your underwear may get lowered to butt crack, sheet tucked in your waistband, glute exposed one at a time. Pelvic work, inner leg work. During all of this I felt comfortable and relaxed and the work was specifically theraputic. Again, if youre not used to this kind of work, it could be a surprise at first. Old school as in, it wasnt just a rub down- i was lengthened, stretched, bent, and pulled while getting deep tissue work done. The results were fantastic and i came out of it a new person. I had a 60 minute deep tissue and afterward had wished i had bought a 90 minute. I didnt want it to end. Linda was fantastic and found every problem spot I had. This place is a no frills establishment. Having said that, this place definitely meets your massage and well-being needs, and their pricing is more than reasonable. You will definitely not find a place in East Midtown that will charge you a 60-minute massage for $55! Be aware though that all their price points are based on CASH payments only. Expect to pay a slight premium if you're using a credit card as your form of tender. The massage therapists are excellent. Worth every penny. They perform thorough work and use their hands and elbows to do more deeper tissue massages. Don't get scared if they climb on top of your massage bed! Massage rooms look a bit dingy, but again, if look and feel doesn't bother you, then you'll be fine coming here. Rooms are always clean. A couple of things to note - the place does lack customer service. Because the majority of the staff is of Chinese descent, I think the language barrier plays into their low quality customer service. Keep it strictly transactional. Their scheduling is very flexible though. Same day appointments are almost always possible. Also, I would recommend engaging in simple conversation with your massage therapist. They are willing to help, but would advise sticking to very simple language or point to the area of your body where you would like them to focus their attention on. I've been coming here for about 5 years now and up until now, I have been very satisfied every time.
