Then Wency showed me to the room (beautifully furnished) and instructed me on how to get ready. She left the room while I got dressed (I really appreciated the privacy of these moments). The whole process took 16-20 min. I thought I had good pain tolerance (I have many tattoos) but boy, did I underestimate the pain of a Brazilian Wax. Wency was very patient: she told me when to take deep breath and talked to me to distract from the pain. I felt really good after the appointment. Will be coming back in 5 weeks for maintenance! I desperately needed a shellac pedicure and decided to take open the door and take a chance to see if they would take me as a walk-in. Luckily, Allure was able to take me immediately. May was the lady who took her time and provided the best foot/leg massage with my pedicure. May started with the usually foot soak, nail trim, salt scrub, treat calluses, massage (with hot stones and hot towels!) and moisturize. May spent a good 20 minutes with a good heavenly massage. Another lady stepped in to finish with the colour and polish protector. I appreciate the ladies taking the time for each customer and I never feel rushed to get out of the chair. I could certainly be back again. I think they did a fantastic job. My shellac pedicure was $48 plus another $5 to take off the old one, so competitive with other nail spas. The shop was clean and I noticed on the wall a posted indicating certain stalls for parking. But I also fine easy parking 1 to 2 block west and east of 7 and 8th Avenue.
