Excellent service, very professional and friendly, with a wonderful relaxing atmosphere! Very informative on health benefits of essential oils, aromatherapy, and massage. I will definitely go back to this hidden paradise again and will refer others to it also! read more

I recently purchased their groupon deal - One recover facial with scalp treatment -- and went there last weekend for a facial. they just apply a cream, some little oil and scrub and they dont clean your face like removing black heads or white heads or applying a scrub and massaging to remove the dead cells or white/black heads. Also, they dont do any scalp treatment as such. The scalp treatment provided was applying oil with a cotton for less than a minute and NO massage was provided.. The groupon deal says 90 minutes but they do only for like 30 mins - like apply cream, scrub and oil. i bought 2 deals and its waste of time and money. they dont provide service for the price they charge us. POOR SERVICE on the whole. read more

Very good food. I wouldn't know authentic Taiwanese food from fake but I do know good food from bad - and this is definitely good food. I got the beef noodle soup and the wife got the beef udon. Both were very good soups. The red chili wontons are excellent! We only found this place by accident a couple weeks ago and have been here about five times now. I'm just trying not to burn myself out on the food! :) Okay, after several more weeks of eating here a couple times per week, I still haven't burned myself out and so far I love everything. My go to is usuall the beef noodle soup with the red chili wontons, but I do really like the sesame cucumbers..mmm.. tasty. Also, the wonton soup is very mellow . And they've been consistent enough that I'm finally giving them my fifth star. As far as price goes, it's not bad. The soups range from about $7 to $11 depending on the soup and the sides (red chili wontons or sesame cucumber) are about $5 - $6. read more

Mind Body and Spirit are well catered for here. Set in a beautiful building with a Zen garden decorated with flowers, a waterfall amid outside seating. So relaxing to just walk around. Inside the design, layout and structure continues to impress. Catherine, the owner, has done a wonderful job of bringing a little bit of Taiwan into Issaquah and Spa Chi offers services like traditional Gua Sha detox along with the more standard massage therapy which has helped me to overcome the stress of being unemployed just before Christmas. Thank you Spa Chi! read more

Been a while since I first went there. Although there were only a couple of customers, it took a long time for my order. It was not worth the wait. Had a stir fry which was lack luster. Prices were reasonable. It's a convenient location in the neighborhood. I often go to the spa, which is attached, and will give the restaurant a try again. read more

I have been going to Spa Chi for the past 4 years. The staff is always friendly and they take their time. I usually see Tran for my manicure and pedicure. She takes her time and makes sure my nails are immaculate and that I am happy with them before I leave. The salon is small and quaint. The oversized foot baths are filled with stones as you soak your feet during your pedicure. There is always soothing music playing in the background as well. If you are looking for a relaxing manicure and pedicure I would suggest you try Spa Chi! read more

It's good and fast Asian flair - mainly Taiwanese influenced. Great for a quick lunch. Love the koi garden outside! The beef noodle soup is my favorite - very traditional and authentic tasting. read more

Since moving to Issaquah, I was happy to have found this place! They have really good bubble tea, and their tapioca is chewy and sweet. I've tried a variety of their drinks, from the green tea, lychee, and the regular milk tea. I would say my favorite is the regular milk tea. The milk tea isn't that sweet, but mixed with the sweetened tapioca, it gives a good balance. Also, their tapioca is so good-I've never had bad tapioca before. It's always been sweet and chewy. Sometimes they do run out towards the end of the day :( so try to get there early. I haven't tried any of their food, but when I came in this afternoon, it was packed with people eating lunch. Will have to come back and try the food sometime soon. Their "food menu" is a wall of pictures next to the cashier. Also, outside, they have a zen like garden, so it's nice if you want to sit outside during the spring or summer and have a relaxing lunch. read more

What a pleasant surprise in my own backyard! I was looking for a new nail place and started reading the reviews on the food at Spa Chi. It was exactly as described by so many patrons. I sat outside in the beautiful garden and enjoyed a very nice lunch. The cucumber salad was amazing! I'm not familiar with this type of food but I can tell you it was fresh and fabulous. Staff was helpful and very friendly. The only reason I rated 4 stars is that I would rather have a more organized menu, not just the photos on the wall and I was told the drink prices were not correct as they had not been updated since the opening about 5 years ago. A nice place to be on a sunny afternoon! read more

Got the mani/pedi deal from Living Social. to start off, while I thought the location was somewhat odd the place is really nice. Gorgeous garden, nice decor, and clean. The staff is nice but I think they may be under staffed as no one EVER answers the phone and they do not always return messages. Making an appointment was a hassle. I wanted to try and change my appt with my friend to a later time on the same day and the lady I talked to gave a long rant of how hard it is to change for 2 people on a Saturday. That was annoying so we kept our appointment as is. So the main reason why I am only giving this place 2 stars is because the service I got was not good. The nail polish isn't that great of quality and within less than 24 hours both my hands and feet were looking ragged. That doesn't happen at my usual place. I also don't think they did a very good job filing and scrubbing like other places. Overall, I was not impressed. read more

Very pleasant setting, and nice ladies. The only thing that disappointed me was that the hostess offered me tea as if it was complimentary, and then brought me a bill. Not cool. read more

Cafe Chi was my oasis for quick delicious taiwanese food and the best bubble tea (that uses real loose leaf brewed tea) and natural fruit smoothie drinks in the seattle eastside area for many years. The interior decor and outside courtyard made it a great place to relax with family and friends while enjoying great food and drinks. I was very sad to see it close down recently and replaced with a vietnamese fusion place called Umi-Cafe that serves generic food and a very poor excuse for bubble tea (it's the powder based milk type that is mixed with cheap lipton). Very disappointed. I hope the Spa Chi owner brings back the original Cafe Chi. Cafe Chi please come back! read more

Leah gave me one of the best massage I have received to date. I have fibromyalgia and she applied enough pressure and was gentle. She was very obliging when I mentioned I was sore and readjusted. Very relaxing experience. One thing that I don't recommend doing is calling in as they might not always answer their phone. However they were very quick to respond to my email and you can book your appointment online. I really enjoyed my experience. read more

Finally a good cafe in Issaquah. Nice landscape and interior, and they serve tranditioanl Taiwanese dishes as well as English high teas. Unexpected deliciousness hidden in a residential neighborhood! read more

The exterior of the spa was everything I hoped for when purchased an Amazon Local certificate, it looked serene and inviting! I was created by a woman playing with a child, and didn't know if she worked there or if she was a customer. Turns out she as the lady who was going to be giving me a paraffin pedicure and shellac manicure. i'm thankful I made an appointment because there was only three chairs. The music playing was so tranquil and there was only one other customer. She started the warm water for my feet and I sunk into the chair. About 2 minutes later, she brings her child over to play on the chair next to me. At first it was cute and all, but after about 5-10 minutes of her tending to her child, taking him to the bathroom, giving him her phone at one point to play a loud game on.. I had enough. About 3 hours after I made my appointment I had to catch a flight so the distractions were not only annoying, but they were making me nervous because everything was taking so long. She did a fantastic job on my toes and nail and the paraffin felt amazing, but I was really disappointed in the experience. read more

This cafe/spa was so nice! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Great vibe throughout the business, highly recommend!

I purchased the Living Social deal, but it's local so I really wanted to try it and like it as my new "go to" place. Like others, I had a hard time getting a hold of Spa Chi. On the day of, they started the appointment late (which normally wouldn't be a problem except I was on a schedule that day). The setting was very nice - better than your normal nail salon. However, the service declined after I sat down. The water they started was scalding! I had to ask someone (because they had walked away) to turn it down because I couldn't keep my feet in any longer. The pedicure was not gentle and the services felt quick and "phoned in". For my manicure, she did not evenly shape my nails (some longer, some shorter; some rounder, some square). They try to do the manicure from the same spot, but I found this difficult as i was constantly reaching my arms down to her. After they applied polish, they put a cooling fan on my lap and left me for 20 minutes. I had to ask to get someone to help me get out of there because they had already moved onto the next girl. The polish is cheap and the color selection is limited. Within a day there were already chips. Again, I really wanted to like this local business. Great looking store, but the service is just another cheap nail salon inside. read more

completely unexpected little chinese café in issaquah housed alongside a spa! chinese food and pedicures? what a concept! the food was rather small portions, but very tasty. not exactly enough to fill up a big eater like my bro, but i doubt they expect too many guys to come chowing at their place. their drinks were large and in charge, full of flavor. passion fruit tea boba was excellent. prices are a bit high, so don't go there if you're a big eater... like my bro. read more

love, love, love cafe chi!! i usually get their milk tea and it's very smooth and rich! i've tried bout everything on their menu and it's all very good. i love their spicy dumplings. think din tai fung but at about half the price. i also think their pumpkin soup is great and their beef teriyaki sandwiches are tasty. the atmosphere at cafe chi is also really nice. their landscaping is very picturesque and their interior decor is very tasteful as well. the staff is always very friendly. defintely a place to hang out for awhile! read more

I went to Spa Chi for a manicure and pedicure and they did a great job. The seats area super comfortable. It was a very a very relaxing experience. The people were very friendly unlike the other nails places where you are treated like an appointment they need to get through. The atmosphere was nice, not very noisy and the ambiance was very soothing. I would highly recommend Jen for a manicure and Tran for a pedicure. read more

Such a well hidden place. I recently came here for pedi and mani, its a small friendly environment with great customer service. The place is pretty clean and inviting. The techs are super friendly. They really take their time and are very detailed. Once you go as often as you do, you really get to know them, they remember you !! I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family read more

I had a facial here which was very relaxing and I liked the products. The aethetician was thorough in her assessment of my skin. One suggestion would be to warm her hands and have a warmed blanket -- i tend towards cold and always like to be kind of overheated when I get treatments. read more

I had my facial with Leah. It was awesome and I really loved the smell when I stepped in. They have 50% off this month (Oct. 2011) which is a great value. This is first time I am writing a review because I enjoyed it so much. It was so relaxing. I would definitely visit them next time. read more

I visited Spa Chi for a mani/pedi with an online deal. I had no trouble getting an appointment but when I showed up slightly early for my appointment at 10, I ended up waiting awkwardly in the cafe until someone finally showed up 15 minutes late. I understand life sometimes gets in the way and people are late for work, but I was extremely put off when I was made to feel guilty for even being there, like I was nothing more than a huge inconvenience to the gal I had the appointment with. The actual mani/pedi was pretty good, the atmosphere was nice, and so far there is no chipping. However, this was my once-in-forever spa day and my experience was simply ruined as I felt guilty for being alive to ruin this person's day with my presence. I will certainly be taking my business elsewhere to someone who is happy to meet with me and happy to earn a very worth-while tip. read more

I usually use Cafe Chi after getting facial from Spa Chi. I like this place because the foods from Cafe Chi are like home-style food for me. The atmosphere is very good and it's quite pretty place :) The place is very clean which is very important fact for the restaurant. I visit this place for dinner (or take out) almost once a week these days to get good healthy delicious home style food :). Also, I like their peach bubble tea too. I love this place! read more

Arrived for my 10 AM appointment 10 minutes early to find the entry gate was locked and I could not get in. I went back into my car and called both the spa and the coffee shop - no answer. Shortly after 10AM a car pulls up and a girl wrangles to open the gate. I introduce myself as a customer and she brings me in. There we find a staff member in the coffee shop and the owner in the spa. No one else in sight so no sure why they could not pick up the phone. I then was placed in the middle of a grumbling between the owner and the technician on how to open up. It went on too long and I asked if they could take this up after I left. The owner never apologized. I am brought into a room that is cold. I undressed and climbed under the blankets. It took some time to warm up. The soothing music began and suddenly there is the sound of a faucet being turned on and the water splashing into the sink. Not in a good way. The facial began. There was no explanation of the process's that would be done but it felt good. Until...my peaceful time turned into having to listen to the personal problems that the technician was having at home. Polite conversation turned into a situation of TMI. I asked if I could enjoy the rest of my time relaxing. It was honored. I wished I worried less about being rude and asked sooner. It was my time not her therapy session. When she concentrated on her personal problems, she focused less on what she was doing for me. I had to ask repeatedly to change her massage intensity. The silence of the room is broken from time-to-time by voices and doors opening and closing, the technician doing a selling spiel and then the water faucet being turned again on in the room to clean whatever she needed to clean. Rooms should be ready, noise should be less and chatter non-existent unless it is concerning the treatment. read more

Food and drinks are good, but the service is super slow and the process they use here is horrible for high traffic business. I do not recommend them on a normal day, expect 10-20 minute wait for a single drink read more

Be aware that wait times for your food can go over half an hour. The staff will give you a warning in advance.
