Most recently, went in to buy parts as our temperature wasn't holding. After damaging our deck during the delivery in multiple areas, they told us to not worry it would all be taken care of. They have given nothing but the runaround. After calling multiple times and being passed to other employees we were offered store credit for some chemicals. Guy seemed knowledgeable about their product but was steering us away from the one we were interested in and focusing on 2 other ones instead, even though it was more expensive. Two stars for the memories, but one star for the current situation. We have been loyal customers for over 20 years! Hot tubs, fireplaces, referrals to all friends and family but those days are over :(. Customer service has left the building. We put a deposit on a hot tub over 4 months ago - we get it, it's COVID time...the supply chain was affected. We have heard nothing, no calls, no messages, no emails. And after 20 years, spa brokers DOES have all of our contact info! I called today, was transferred to Chad after a 6 minute hold and he says....wait for it, wait for it...."oh I have tried to call you so many times and left so many messages." (Insert rolling my eyes emoji here). Such a liar and so disappointing. Really ANY other excuse might have worked here, but that's the lamest one EVER. Give me back my deposit and hasta la vista Spa Brokers. Now it's months later, I'm a $100 richer but I'm still without a hot tub and have to start all over again. You guys are just the worst. The communication was outstanding throughout the entire process, and the technician, Adrian, was super friendly, professional and kept the work area really clean. He did the repair quickly. As we got to talking, he introduced me to their last 2019 model and told me it was on sale. Instead of pushing me into something more expensive, he listened to my needs and my comfort in price. Bought a nice tub from Spa Brokers. Spend the better part of $10K. It came mostly on schedule. You buy from a broker, of course, to get good service. They say no trip charges in the first year. Any service you need in the first year, no charge at all. After the first year we have to charge or people will abuse it. After a month I'm suddenly having trouble with water clarity that I can't explain and have not been able to solve after a few days of effort - so I asked for a service call to trouble shoot pumps, the filter system, etc. In a phone call I get, "your water clarity issues are about you bringing too much contamination and soap into the tub. Pumps and filters can't have anything to do with this so we'll need $100 to come out there to look at it". You can take your water in somewhere and get it tested on your own, they say. They, of course, know nothing about how we use our tub or the care we take with keeping soaps and lotions out of it. Nor did they ask. Just a canned response as an easy way to punt their way out of showing up to help a customer. Not even an offer to walk through some scenarios for solving the matter over the phone. $100 or you're on your own. I guess I was naive thinking they would actually care to give some service or help to a customer. Pretty different experience than from the customer service my neighbor gets from one of the other spa company in the city. Live and learn, I suppose. Keep expectations low. read more

I am 100% disabled US VET, and this is a WARNING TO ALL VETERANS thinking about buying a spa/Hot Tub for hydro therapy. Last year (April 2011) I was sitting in the VA waiting for my appointment when I struck up a conversation with another VET. The VET told me that he had just bought a new spa from a company called Spa-Brokers and it was the best purchase that he had ever made. I told him that I had peripheral neuropathy and that I would have to check this place out for hydro therapy. A about a month later, I went to Spa Brokers in Colorado and purchased a Cal Spa hot tub (was delivered and hooked up last week in May 2011). My legs and feet do so much better when I use the spa. However, during the use of the spa, the control panel button had a sharp piece that was sticking up and would slice your finger when you tried to use it. So, a few weeks ago I called the distributor that I bought the spa from "Spa-Brokers of Colorado". They sent a service tech out. The service tech said he thought he could change the sticker button, but because it was manufactured by "Cal-Spa", the entire control panel had to be replaced before the circuit board beneath the control panel shorts out from a leak. He took pictures and then Spa-Brokers sent this to "Cal Spa" for warranty approval. He then takes out some super glue and tries to seal the control panel (while smudging super glue over the control panel) Days goes by and then the response from the distributor "Spa-Brokers in Colorado", is that Cal Spa's will not authorize the control panel to be replaced even though the spa is STILL UNDER WARRANTY till this May 2012, and suggest that I personally call Cal Spa's if I want this fixed, as they are not going to take a loss on the control panel. I call Cal Spa's and the customer service person advised that I need to send over a picture of the control panel, and I tell them that the distributor already sent the pics in. I get put on hold a few times, only to be told by Cal Spa's that the tub is still operational and that they will not replace the panel. I ask what they meant by operational and get the response that the tub can still be used. So then I said, what if the control panel is hanging off the tub, but is still operational then can I get the control panel replaced? My response was NO, the tub is still operational. So in fact, if anything happens to the tub (not my fault, but a manufacturing defect) and the tub still works, then the warranty will not fix ANYTHING. I then send an email to the owner of Spa-Brokers (don@spa-brokers.com) which is the distributor. It has been a few days and I have had no answer. So I can only assume that Spa-Brokers and Cal-Spa's DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER that they sell to. It's all about the money and then shaft the customer. The control panel cost, from what I am told is between 300-400 dollars to replace. So, either I keep getting my finger sliced by a piece of equipment that is under warranty or I PAY to have it fixed. THIS IS A WARING TO ALL VETERANS and anyone that might buy a Cal Spa or that might even buy a spa from Spa-Brokers in Colorado... DON"T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. The warranty that comes along with their items are completely WORTHLESS and you will be on your own is something happens UPDATE: Cal Spas called me and apologized for the bad service and they read my review on YELP. "THANKS YELP". Thus my part was then replaced. However the BBB here got a reply from the owner of Spa Brokers, saying he had trouble with email.. Yeah right, the the moon is made of cheese. Great experience with Spa Brokers! Chad was super knowledgeable, easy to work with, and helped us make a confident buying decision without being pushy. He learned our needs and helped select the right CalSpa that was the perfect fit for us. Pricing was great and he beat every other spa dealer we spoke with in terms of getting us the tub quicker. The packages they were able to include including steps and cover given our ability to make a quick buying decision was also a nice addition. Install was also incredibly smooth, I had some worries about getting it through the gate, down a hill on a tight path, and across the install team did a killer job. The electrician they recommended was phenomenal as well, he was there early and even fixed an extra outlet that wasn't working for a great price. Will update again once issue resolved but great to see that they want to make it right. Good stuff! **** Stay away!!!!! We purchased a Heat & Glo gas insert that has never worked correctly. When we have called over and over again for help, we are charged every time for a service call. It then works for a week or two and then is unusable until we call for another service. We continuously get the run around and seem to now be stuck with our very own lemon. Chad was our salesperson, found him demeaning and after our first year of trying to get our fireplace to work we were told they aren't made to last long. We were also told it was very common that the remote would not work and that we should regularly have to take apart our fireplace and remove the glass and with a brush gently clean the pilot light in order to use our fireplace. No anonymous blackballing here. My name is J. Scott Strawn and I had the most miserable experience with this company. I found the owner/salesman to be arrogant and self-involved. He never listened to my concerns or meet my needs as a customer, probably because I paid up front. Let me explain... I bought a hot tub from this company in August of 2011. During the actual sale I mentioned at least THREE TIMES the narrow entrance to my backyard and that it might be difficult to install. I also mentioned at least TWO TIMES that I would be out of town in mid-September and needed delivery by a specific date. Sure enough when the delivery date rolled around, there weren't enough workers to get the hot tub through the narrow gate in my backyard. The delivery had to be rescheduled for TWO WEEKS LATER, when I would be out of town. When I complained about the delay to the owner, he flatly stated he didn't recall and of my concerns and reiterated that it would be two weeks before he had enough workers to complete the installation. When I complained that wasn't satisfactory as i would be out of town, the arrogant owner, in a really snarky manner said: "What are you going to do, cancel the order?" I don't think he expected my to say: "Yes, immediately." That same day I went to International Hot Tubs. I got a better tub for about the same price and it was in my backyard within 3 days. If you are looking for customer service stear clear O spa brokers. I have purchased two spas and a gas fireplace from them and I have been treated rudely by them for the last time! I called to find availability of filter sand and was told they could have it for me tomorrow. I was in the middle of the change out so I drove to the Abilene store and purchased a bag. I got home and realized the I needed 2 bags not one so I called the warehouse back to see if they would get a bag out to me the following day. I was told it would be Friday I asked why when I was told this AM that I could get it today earlier in the day. His exact reply was because that is when I do transfers I don't just do transfers every day. I said that's too bad and hung up. His voice and attitude was not acceptable no trying to help just tough lady attitude. I will email the owner and maybe next year they will stock some product in the warehouse. read more
