If you're looking for an ultimate spa day, I would recommend you to consider this spa. It's across the street from Krispy Kreme doughnuts. The storefront is at the lobby of a big apartment complex and near a driveway. I came here as a birthday gift and had the relaxation and indulge package with an add-on of the red light therapy. My masseuse was Artie. The two hours went really quickly and I totally recommend her! Tip: If you receive a gift certificate, use it within days and not months like I waited. Tip 2: The gift certificate will say "Indulge & Relaxation" and those are actually two separate packages. So in my case, I actually had one. Why 4 stars instead of 5? * I received the gift certificate which included gratuity months ago. Due to the holidays and cold, I waited and waited until I finally did it. During this time, the prices of the relaxation package changed for the new year. As a result, the gratutity that my friend paid is now "used" to cover the price change. I have not seen this occured before during my years using spas. I was now responsible for gratuity. I was really excited to get a facial here after reading some reviews but there was one thing I was particularly disappointed with- while the facial was nice and relaxing I personally think a facial is worth the $$ when they perform extractions. My provider told me they only perform blackhead extractions at Spa Blue as opposed to regular acne or white head extractions. This was really disappointing to me because I usually only invest in a facial for the extractions because I'll get some clogged pore spots on my cheeks that simply just dont go away until I get them extracted most times. So for me this facial wasnt worth it and while it was still lovely and relaxing I just wanted to give anyone else who is looking for this experience a heads up before you spend the money :) read more

My balayage done by Hector was SO great. He took me after hours and spent 4+ hours blonding my naturally black hair... he has a very very fast hand took his time but didn't waste any time got it done and did exactly what i asked for! This review is SOLELY based on the owner and his lack of professionalism. I can't even believe that Ive experienced what I am about to share. I went in last night for a massage, manicure and blowout. The massage was outstanding. The manicure was eh. The hair was eh + blah. A prom student was in his chair before I was up and she looked so unimpressed, her hair was flat and limp and my heart went out to her as I could see in her eyes that she wanted something special and this was not that. not.at.all. But my review is about professionalism or lack there of at this establishment. I called and booked 3 services and asked for pricing on the massage before booking and I was told it was $60 as part of a promotion that they are running- I agreed and booked my appointment for all services. When I was in the room about to get my massage therapist asked which kind of massage I wanted, and I replied "Swedish, whatever I booked" is fine. she then asked if I would like aromatherapy and I said yes still again I followed up with "whatever I booked is fine" You can guess what happened next. I get to the register and my $60 massage is now $80 because she used an oil that made it cost more. HUH???!!! I I asked the owner why this was not explained to me in the massage room so that I would've had the choice to either upgrade my service with the essential oil's or keep the standard massage without the aromatherapy. She causally asked as if it was a matter of preference in oils, which is how I understood it. how in the world would I have known that her asking me if I wanted aromatherapy would've meant a $20 extra charge. This was not clear and sneaky in my opinion. after going back-and-forth with the owner over $20 I decided to cut my losses and let them have it because I had to get home to my family...it wasn't worth my time and I could see that the owner was completely in a bubble not trying to see it from any angle but his. fast forward now I'm swiping my credit card for the $80 massage the $65 blowout and the $20 manicure. I signed the receipt, I leave the tips in the envelopes and the owner pulls out a $20 bill from the register and hands it over to me. I think he felt underneath it all that I was right and I didn't make a big fuss over it so it made him do the right thing. l took the $20 said thank you and walked out. --------NOW------- **here is what prompted me to write this review** I honestly was letting it go but here is where boundaries were crossed yet again. I just received a phone call from the massage therapist regarding the $20!!!! The owner gave my number to the massage therapist so she could yell about the $20. She says hello this is such in such from spa blue the owner told me that you made him give you your $20 back! that's lie #2 I never requested the money back, I simply explained how it should have been stated before the service so I could make an informed decision. I was trying to respond with what actually happened but could not get a word out as she was clearly very upset... maybe because he docked $20 from her pay.. who knows? I'm stunned at the level of immaturity and lack of professionalism from a business owner. The call lasted one min as I cannot spend time indulging in negativity. Here is the proof of the call in case the owner tries to deny this call ever happened. HAIR: Please use GLAMSQUAD as they are always professional or the hairroom JC, they are so creative, and professional. Massage: Massage Envy is only $60 always. No promos needed and they use aromatherapy for FREEEEEEEE and a legit establishment with a corporate backing that will always make it right and never release private information. I purchased a Groupon for a manicure pedicure. I went in the evening during the work week and it was completely empty. I still made a reservation though. Pros: extremely clean inside, easy access from Path train, pleasant staff. Cons: pedicure - I informed the technician to not cut my cuticles. She was receptive, however she did not clean under the toenails or around sides of toenails. The water was too cold for your feet to be soaked in. The hot towel was quickly warm when placed on my feet. Manicure - the technician was meticulous, however, again, no cleaning under or the sides of my nails. The water to soak your finger nails was cold. After massaging my hands, she told me to walk to the sink to rinse my hands. She then placed a hot towel on my hands. There were some nail polish spots on my skin that the technician did not remove, rather use her finger nail with nail polish remover to clear off my skin. Would I go back for nail service - probably not. The salon offers a ton of other services, so hopefully people will have a good experience. read more

Came through a Groupon first and was pleasantly surprised and the service they provide (given that often times, you are treated differently when you come on a discount as opposed to a regular to a lot of places). Fantastic color selection and they've always taken their time to make sure I'm satisfied with my gel manicure. I haven't gone for any other services other than a gel manicure so I can't give any feedback on anything else they provide, but the gel manicure is fantastic. I've had facials before, then Arti introduced me to Hydrofacial treatments and let me tell you is the best thing ever! Not going to lie pricey but worth it. I've had 2 treatments so far and my skin seems brighter, I've noticed less spots on my cheeks and impurities on my T-Zone are less visible. Take care of your skin inside and out and you'll see the difference. Spa Blue staff is caring, uses great products and to this date never had a bad experience.
