I enjoyed my 90 minute hot stone massage yesterday and loved my facial that was scheduled today at 11. There are a few quirks that prompt me to leave just four stars. I'm well versed in spa experiences all over the country and hope my comments are helpful. First quirk: Odd two hour limit. If your time enjoying the spa amenities exceeds two hours (either before or after your treatment) you will be charged $30 an hour. I've never seen this rule at any other spa I've been to. Watching the clock does not lend itself to relaxation . Treatments are expensive and this feels like a bit of a money grab. Second quirk- limited hours. This spa is not open on Monday and Tuesday. I found out today the spa doesn't open until 11am on Thursdays (the time of my scheduled appointment). I arrived a little after 10am with a plan to use the hot tub and steam room before my facial. (With that two hour limit in mind). Instead I sat on a step outside. They did open the doors at 10:25. I suggest installing a couple benches outside the entrance. I'm not used to a spa opening so late in the day. I prefer not to use a hot tub or steam after a facial. I like the wonderful products to stay put on my face. Third quirk: It is 2026. Please set up online booking vs the only other option: calling to book services. Please, please, please make this happen! Fourth quirk- consider providing a bowl of apples (or other fruit option) in addition to the complementary Nature Valley bar. Today's bar had 18g carbs 9 g of sugar. Not a healthy choice for people watching their A1C. Note- there are a couple options for purchase and a drink menu available. Loved- the water, coffee, and tea station. Loved- the comfy spa robe and plush towels. Loved- the clean, relaxing, well appointed facilities. Well done! Loved- the entire team is extremely helpful and friendly. A million stars go to Pamela for an amazing hot stone massage and Casie for an incredible facial! These ladies are both gifts to humanity and obviously love what they do. What a memorable, therapeutic, beautiful experience. Thank you both! Loved- Eminence Products are THE best and used for their facials. I appreciated the product recommendations.

I didn't, and ending up having a weird, disjointed, and very UN-relaxing, UN-effective massage...add to that, a super SHADY price, which was worse. The lady showed me to the room, said, 'take clothes off, face down.' Ok, standard stuff. Apparently she was not my therapist because I hear a man's voice. He is the one that is going to work on me; let your clients know what is going on. Zero communication. It's a little jarring when you are face down, and the person you think is going to be there, is someone else! I'm sure the person working on me was nice enough, but he left the room twice without telling me why. How unsettling! Once was to get hot stones that were not EVEN luke warm, and once was to get a hot towel to wipe off the house disinfectant-smelling oil he used on my back. I had to wash it off as soon as I got home. When he came back the second time, he left the door ajar, so anyone walking by might be able to see me covered in this weird 'half' sheet. No whole sheets, weird. I could certainly hear others talking since the door was open. So many times I wanted to end the massage because it was so awful. The guy, is he even licensed? Is this place licensed? He kept trying to cover my hair in a towel to keep the oil off-he spent several minutes adjusting that. Frustrating, when he could have been working on my back. The kicker: their sign that has been displayed on Eubank for more than a year states, "$50-one hour massage." When I went to pay, the bill was $64. I said, "no, your sign states..."-The lady said no, and showed me a chart showing different prices for the SAME ONE HOUR MASSAGE. (They have different pricing depending on the time of day. ) I told her that it was not fair because of their advertisement. She said since I was a first time client, that is was ok to do $50. Whatever. The price was $50, then a $3.00 service charge I wasn't expecting, and tax. I tipped a small amount and she had the AUDACITY to say that I had to tip 20%!!! I certainly did not. Their business name on my bank statement is 'Body Foot Spa Albuquerque NM' it doesn't even match the business name on the door and facade which is, 'Health Body Foot Spa, AND Body Foot...?'

The massage wasn't the style I'm personally used to, but she definitely worked out a lot of tension and I could feel a difference afterward. If you're looking for an affordable massage in a clean, no-frills environment, I'd recommend giving this place a try. Unfortunately, I also added the hair spa service, and that's where my experience fell short. The hair wash was done using a makeshift sink setup that was loud and disruptive, making it difficult to relax. The shampoo they used was Pantene, which isn't even a product I use at home, so it didn't feel like a premium spa treatment. Based on that experience, I wouldn't recommend the hair spa add-on. Overall, the massage was worth it, especially because of Yoyo's skill, but I left feeling satisfied rather than excited to return. I'd come back for the massage, but I'd skip the hair spa next time.

I have had several good massages in Albuquerque, but was looking to try something new. I had actually discovered Eric during my last visit home, but due to travel restraints, I was unable to schedule a session with him. Luckily, I was able to reconnect with him and schedule a massage. Eric gave me directions to his place. He has a lovely home in the far NE heights. Eric met me at the door with a huge smile and an open hand. He asked me to come in and he shook my hand. He led me to his massage studio, located right inside the front door, to the right. In the center of the room is a massage table covered with clean sheets. There is a head cradle and he had added arm extensions because I'm a pretty big guy. Eric had soft spa music playing. It wasn't too soft nor too loud. He knelt down and chatted with me a few minutes. He asked me to undress, while he went to heat up his oil. Within a short time, he returned and my massage began. When I asked what kind of specialty Eric had, he explained his style and technique, all therapeutic strokes, but with particular focus on shoulders and upper back. This was exactly what I was looking for. Eric kept a constant touch. His stokes are fluid and offer the right amount of pressure. He did ask me multiple times if the pressure were right or if I was getting benefits from his touch. I don't mind chatting during my massages. Eric is an excellent conversationalist, but not neglecting his client while carrying on the conversation. He never missed a beat. He even changed the music for me, since I get tired of new age music, sometimes. Our time flew by. Eric kept to the agreed time period. His prices are more than reasonable, especially given the quality of his technique. For the next massage, and I will book again, I will ask him to use slightly less oil/lotion. Don't miss an opportunity for this man to get his hands on you!
