I'll send you a confirmation a few days before our cleaning." On July 12, approximately two working days before the confirmed date, I had not heard from Karly B, so I decided to contact her for a final confirmation. I'm glad I did, considering she had stated that she would confirm with me a few days before the cleaning. This is our communication two days before the cleaning: ME: "Good morning, Karly B. Hope you're doing well. I'm just checking in to let you know that we're looking forward to our move-out cleaning on Wednesday." KARLY B: "...unfortunately I'm having my wisdom teeth removed on Tuesday, so I won't be able to do the cleaning." Wisdom teeth extraction is not typically scheduled just two days in advance, so I find it hard to believe her. I'm really surprised because had I not messaged her, I would have been left hanging. Customers need to be informed promptly when a business cannot meet its obligations so they can seek other remedies. I am really disappointed in Karly's Independent Cleaning. If she wanted to cancel the cleaning, she should have done so. As an independently owned business, Karly B needs to communicate better with her customers. This is not a reliable service.

I was very happy with my deep cleaning from Eni. I received a quick reply to my request for a quote…read moreand availability, and easily set up a time for them to come a couple of days later. She and another woman arrived right on time for my scheduled appointment. I had a few spots I let her know upfront that I would like to make sure were included in the deep clean, but for the most part, they quickly went about their work, and had my 2 BR/1 BA sparkling in about two hours. They asked me to look everything over before they left, and having paid for a deep clean, I LOOKED. They moved my furniture to sweep and mop underneath, cleaned my windows, baseboards, dusted the ceiling fan, did some sort of magic in my cat's food and litter area, got food spills out of my fridge, even washed my son's baby bottles in addition to all the regular cleaning. I can't find anything they missed or didn't do that I asked. They did everything but my laundry, but to be honest, if I had asked, they probably would have tossed a load in for me too. Now I can focus on decluttering and organizing since they saved me so much time on the dirty work! Thanks Eni!

It pains me to write this review, as I have been using Eni's cleaning services for the past few…read moreyears and think she herself is a very nice person. However, after being robbed by one of the cleaners, I needed to share this review. In the past, I've generally been happy with the cleanings, though there have been minor issues here and there. The quality of the cleaning often depends on who Eni sends, as some cleaners are better than others. On occasion, I've had to point out areas that weren't up to par. I also had one incident where one of the cleaners left my home unlocked while I was on vacation and accidentally took my keys. The keys were returned to my lockbox the next day, but my home remained unlocked until I returned. Eni apologized, and we agreed not to have that cleaner return to my home. While she was kind, I couldn't risk that happening again. What prompted me to write this review, however, was a robbery. This past weekend was my birthday, and I had several birthday cards (one still sealed in an envelope) in a pile on my dining room buffet. When I returned home, I noticed the pile was missing. Normally, if there are papers in the house, the cleaners either clean around them or neatly stack them without moving them. I asked Eni to check with the cleaners (one of whom was new and had never cleaned my home before) to see where the cards had gone. I was told they were placed in a cabinet on the shelf--something they shouldn't have done in the first place. I checked, and sure enough they were where they said they were but the sealed card had been opened, the money was gone, and a card that previously contained a gift card was missing the gift card. I called Eni immediately and expressed how upset I was. She was very apologetic, told me she had fired the cleaner who took the money, and offered to send me the amount that was stolen (which she did through Venmo). However, after this experience, I felt that I could no longer trust her service. The fact that Eni doesn't seem to properly vet the people she hires makes it impossible for me to continue using her services. I can't risk having someone like that in my home again.

My mom had used a local Merry Maids about a year ago, and was disappointed with the results, so she was skeptical about hiring a cleaning service. I convinced her that it would help her and set about setting it up. After calling other services and not having much luck, I contacted Juvelina. She was polite, professional, and her schedule was quite flexible. I set up an appointment for her to clean my mom's house. She was on-time, arrived with her son, and both of them so friendly and polite according to my mom (who is a tough customer!). The house, which had been a bit messy due to my mom's illness, was spotless when Juvelina was done! She went above and beyond and really gave the house a good cleaning instead of the typical surface cleaning. The kitchen, bathroom, sun room, living room and dining room sparkled when she was done! The results were still evident a week later when I came home to visit my mom. We were so happy with both her professional demeanor as well as the work that I scheduled future appointments for my mom. Juvelina is excellent about responding to voicemail and texts! Bottom line: Skip the chain cleaners and hire Pedroso Cleaning Service. The rates--and results--are much better!

We got by with just casual cleaning as we settled in, but it was time for someone else who knows what they're doing to come in and make this place ship-shape. I called Juvelina and she called right back. We continued texting each other for the next day or so to finalize a time. Super user-friendly. She showed up when expected and spent two hours quietly (other than the vaccuum =)) doing her thing. I've gotta tell you, I'm a bit Type-A (sarcasm) and a LOT anal retentive (serious) and when I walked out of my office (which is attached at the rear of the apartment and didn't need cleaning) I was all smiles... and still am an hour later and therefore needed to write a review. My first review, btw! It smells like lemons in here, she put everything back as it was... and every surface -- floors, bathroom, counters, windowsills, bookshelves, stainless steel, is all just shiny and nice and I'm... just.... happy. This is awesome. I've never hired a cleaning service before and was a little nervous to do so, but Juvelina is adorable and super nice and comes with all her own stuff and was actually quite the bang for the buck if you ask me. So - five stars!!! And I'll be calling her again (especially before my mother comes to visit,... that's for sure... =)).
