Family friends children departed also due to incorrect crowns, which this office strangely has you sign contracts for the warranty on them so you cant leave. Over the years spent well over $6K with this office and was about to spend another several thousand $, but thankfully woke up and will spend that with a dentist who is more focused on great experiences rather than $. I began to notice this $ focus about the third cleaning when the hygienist constantly tried to upsell me. I had to switch hygienist it was so annoying, plus she was very aggressive on my teeth. Second, when asking questions on billing, the front desk lady Mona had a temper tantrum in front of customers. Final draw was when I went in for a service and was told it would be no charge on "3" different occasions, one while sitting in the chair. Next week, got a bill. Called to discuss it with Kelly who only returns calls when, you guessed it, $ is due. All that came of that convo was disregard of being told there would be no charges and repeating argument that all services are ran through insurance and the bill is due. All around poor experience, poor attitudes, lack of knowledge of crowns, and $ over customer experience.

The contract for a garden-variety set of braces/services can be broken into payments, and it is a one-price-for-most-everything agreement. Your 'patient' is even issued a top-notch electric toothbrush upon fitting! You will have to make regular checkup appointments, be adjusted periodically, and get the exceptional, professional attention that Dr. Ranjbar provides each patient. Need to schedule in advance or reschedule at the last minute? Need an unscheduled visit for breakage or adjustment? No problem! The staff works to fit your needs and is persistent with electronic reminders and communication. When I arrived for the appointment I was greeted by Amber who was just as friendly and even though she was wearing a mask, you could hear her smile. My mother's experience with Topeka Oral Surgery was one of the worst medical encounters we've had…read more I was in the room for the entire extraction. The dentist was rough and impatient; my mother was making noises from pain and clearly distressed. I stayed quiet to avoid escalating the situation, but the lack of compassion and gentle technique was obvious. During the procedure an assistant walked in from another room without gloves, handed the dentist an instrument, and he immediately placed it in my mother's mouth -- shocking and completely unsanitary. After the extraction my mother was left in severe pain. The assistant told us she had sent the prescriptions for pain medication and antibiotics, but when we went to the pharmacy nothing had been submitted. We waited in the parking lot for over an hour until the office returned from lunch and finally sent the scripts. This delay and the poor communication showed a dangerous lack of urgency for a patient in pain. Additionally, they kept my mother's original partials and never returned them despite requests. Given how unprofessional the process was, I have reason to suspect those partials may be reused or resold -- which would be both unethical and unsafe. These offices appear to coordinate with Michel Dental next door who referred my mother to them; my mother later received dentures from that practice that did not fit at all (oversized upper plate, uneven and painful lower plate). The combined experience felt exploitative and disrespectful. This was negligent, unsanitary, and deeply upsetting. I strongly recommend seeking care elsewhere -- find a provider who values hygienic practice, clear communication, and basic respect for patients, especially seniors.

There classic rock wafting throughout the office as you're greeted by a team who wrote the book on customer service. When you walk in to the room where you will meet the dentist, you will immediately notice the pastoral landscape from the giant picture window. The experience was pleasant even when i was numbed with three needles. Dr. Spear has a sharp but delightful sense of humor and there's no need for laughing gas when you have a Dentist with humor like this. Meg, his dental assistant is wonderful as well as she will reassure you all throughout the procedure. When it was finished a saw another assistant through the picture window feeding the wildlife as i stared through the big glass window. Squirrels, rabbits and birds were being cared for and you will be too. Cheers!

They seemed to understand until after the procedure I received a bill in the mail for an additional $400 to what I already paid. They may be able to straighten your teeth but beware of this crooked practice.
