I found this company searching yelp and google, and chose this business becasue of the ratings from the two sites. The ratings, which doesn't surprise me at all, is mostly five stars, however, there is a few one star ratings. There really is no in between ratings and this tells me this company is where I want to bring my business Why, besides the fact that no company is perfect for everyone- the one stars rating are only customers providing rants over something they "personally" feel should have been done for them after the completion of purchase and doesn't represent the experience of purchase at the time they visited the location... It doesn't appear they had any complaints at all, of the business, until they didn't get their way. My experience during my purchase was pleasant and informative. I noticed I had spent much more time than I anticipated and that was becasue I was listening to the information being provided me on different items and questions I was asking. It was becasue they went out of their way to provide me with different options to save money, it was becasue I wasn't just a "sale" to them...I was a customer embarking on a business venture of something I never before had, and they, Scott, in particular wanted to assist me in making sure I was making the right decision. He is incredibly knowledgeable about this industry and really took the time to make sure i wasn't getting in over my head and I was buying only what was needed to get my doors open. I couldn't have appreciated that anymore! That kind of customer service is rare if at all anymore, but is truly a staple of this company. read more

I wrote this review already, but for whatever reason it was removed...therefore I am reposting it. I absolutely loved this place! I don't even know where to begin., First of all, the store is immaculate. The items are very well organized and the selection is great. When you cross over to the "used" area that's when things get real! If you haven't seen this businesses selection of used equipment, it would be worth your time, if for no other reason than because you read this posting. The used equipment is incredible,,,this is no junk dealer, let me tell you. The rows of equipment go the full distance of one block from the front door to the street in the back. Everything is organized together, cleaned and looks beautiful, tested, inspected and tagged. It is almost overwhelming. The staff, by far the best group of employees within one facility. Each one, no doubt friendly, but knowledgeable and accommodating. The owner is more than willing to work with you and offers suggestions to save you more money while not losing any quality. That is business...good old fashioned business...not like it is nowadays where everyone is for themselves and try to stick it to you. The customer service here is always incredible, and the prices are way better than other places. If they don't have what you are looking for, they will order it for you. The place is always clean and for us with a sweet tooth, they keep a candy dish stocked at the front counter for customers( and not with generic candy, real recess cups and Hershey bars). Stop in when a holiday is approaching and they have the store decorated in celebration...you wont find that other places. The equipment is always clean and with fair pricing. Scott is not afraid to negotiate if it is negotiable, and that is a plus. My reach in freezer went down on Friday evening, and I called 10 minutes before closing. Scott had what I needed in stock, but it was at a different warehouse, and could still deliver it to us that evening. His deliver guy pulled in about 20 minutes before our dinner rush and wheeled in a new freezer, helped us transfer the food from the old one, and hauled away they old one. It was awesome, I was already a customer for life, but I had to tell everyone how great I thought that was. read more

We own Tom and Lin Catering and we have used SWRS for all of our rest supply needs, ever since the first encounter. They are not the biggest or the cheapest, but they are the best. I have used many other suppliers and not any of them measure up in service and hospitality as Scott and his team at SWRS. I called to rent some coolers when we were in the worst spot, (covid 19)Scott and the team helped us tremendously by delivering some extra coolers to hold our food as we were going to open a corner store for grocery items. They delivered within hours and because of our long lasting relationship he did this for us without cost! Wow! The outpouring of community support in the midst of this crisis is amazing and! unforgettable. Right now our business is staying afloat and our food cold! Southwest is a wonderful restaurant supplier. Everyone that works here is nice and helpful. I have been to this store several times for different items for my restaurant, but just small items. Until recently I needed a new reach in cooler. I told one of the sales staff what I was in need of and he provided me a quote with pictures and specification pages on different kinds of coolers that I had as options based on what I was looking for. Some of the items were new items and some were refurbished. I chose the refurbished item which came with a warranty.!!! The experience was fast, pleasant and informative. I knew from my first time when I bought a stock pot and a some small ware items that there was something I liked about this place, the ambiance is calming and inviting, you don't feel like I small fish walking into a shark tank, and now I know it wasn't just something I liked about this place, it was everything that I liked about this place.!!!!! read more

This is going to be the first review that I ever posted. My experiences at Southwest Restaurant Supply have been nothing short of incredible. The staff is so knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. If you need anything for a restaurant, here is where you will find it... and if they don't have it, they will order it for you. I have purchased as lot of equipment from here, recently, I needed a new fryer, it was the weekend and I couldnt be without a fryer. I called and spoke with Scott... within two hours, I had a brand new fryer, delivered and installed. You cant find this kind of service and dependability anymore, but you will here. Couldn't be more frustrated with their product and their people. We recently purchased a ice machine from them it works perfectly however they recommended we buy a used bin from them. The ice bin leaks profusely and has ruined our drywall at our facility. We have kindly asked them to swap out the bin for a new one but they hang up on us every time we call. After spending nearly $4000 with this company I couldn't feel more disrespected and disappointed with the customer service please explore other options before using this horrible company. read more

I love these guys to death. I own mulitple restaurants in town and end up stopping by for one thing or the other multiple times a week. Everyone is super professional, friendly and honest. They work so hard to get me what I need when I need it. I deal with one main rep, named michael. He'll drop everything on a dime to help me out. He's come out to my restaurants to consult and at no charge. Simply put, the folks here love what they do and I wouldn't want to imagine a world where I didn't have them around. this place is a rip off.. purchased a 2 door freezer on November 3rd used and said he would give me a 3 month warrentee.. Compressor goes out 2 months later and they now say we only give one more on used equipment.. Nothing in writing to say to.They do not stand behind their word.. bad, bad apples read more
