I called so many other places and I struggled a lot to find a massage therapist place that would also release the name of the massager and their massage therapist license number (although the license numbers are PUBLIC INFORMATION AND SEARCHABLE with an easy online Texas search engine). Turns out, they are required by law to post their license on the walls. TOO many places in El Paso are not licensed or properly trained. Mary was an all-star and she explained that when she was in California, she had also been the massage therapist for an athlete from the LA Pacers. They walked me in 5 minutes later and I got the massage with Jorge we had a small talk just to confirm the service and specifics of the massage and he stepped out for me to get ready for the massage. The room was candle lit and with some very relaxing music and birds sounds. The whole massage was amazing and Jorge was so kind and extremely professional, I've never had a massage performed by a man and being a woman I felt so relaxed and enjoyed the service because he made me feel comfortable and was courteous and professional. He was asking questions making sure he was delivering the right pressure and was feeling good for me. At the end they gave me a water and I was extremely pleased. The facility is dirty, as shown in the photos I took, which is not what you would expect from a place that promotes health, wellness, and relaxation. When I arrived, I waited about 10 minutes before being greeted because only one employee was working the front desk and was tied up on the phone. Once I was acknowledged, I had to complete intake forms twice on the iPad because my information wasn't saved the first time. I was then taken to the so-called "relaxation room," which had a sign requesting phones be silenced. Unfortunately, another guest had her phone on speaker watching videos, making it impossible to relax. Staff did nothing to address it. When I asked the therapist about phones, she confirmed they weren't allowed but still did nothing about the obvious disruption. The massage itself was the worst part. The room and table were filthy, dust, grime, and even dead bugs on the floor. The massage therapist lightly grazed my back with her nails rather than applying real pressure. When I asked for more pressure, she told me she could only do "medium," but her medium was no more than a feather-light touch. At that point, I asked her to stop because it was not meeting my needs at all. To make matters worse, when I got up from the table, I noticed the table itself was dusty as well. At checkout, the receptionist, who seemed to be the manager, asked if I wanted to reschedule, with no apology, no attempt to make things right, and no acknowledgment of the issues. I had a much needed massage by Griselda. I asked for a deep tissue. She went deep in the right spot. It was not painful because she knew what she was doing. My hour massage was a FULL hour not 10 minutes of talking and "consulting" and 50 minutes of massage. BUT a full 60 minutes of hands on. She used hot towels on my back, feet and neck it really took the massage to the next level. They offer memberships which I am totally getting to commit to myself the care we need to do.
