I cannot say enough good things about this about this practice.!! I had been searching the New Mexico area for quite some time to find someone that does Active Release Therapy. ALAS! Dr. Ponce is professional, friendly, direct, lets you know what he is going to do for you. Encourages your feedback of what works and doesn't. My Nerve Entrapment problems are about 80% better than when I started. Yes, $$ but so so worth it. If you don't have your health it is difficult to enjoy life as it should be lived. My insurance does not cover this therapy. The massage therapists wow! They can zero in on the spots that need the work. AMAZING! It has been my experience with other chiropractic offices/practitioners that they do their best to UPSELL their services. In this case it was me who inquired about the benefit of additional modalities. I opted for DRY NEEDLING. It seemed to speed up the process of relieving muscle tension. I can actually move the way I am supposed to! Kudos to ALL the staff for their friendliness, professionalism, courtesy and always willing to please. They work well together.. a well oiled machine. Thank you the Alyssa for keeping me organized with my appointments. I would mention my massage therapists name, however, I don't want others to make appointments with her because it would lessen my chances of getting MY appointments ( yes selfish). I had a great experience, have been back several times & will continue to go. Dr. Ponce took the time to understand what care I was looking for, is friendly and knowledgeable. I go in for routine maintenance adjustments, but they offer a variety of treatments. The receptionist, Aylssa, is very friendly, welcoming & helpful. Receptionist was unprofessional when I asked her to verify my insurance. When I returned she still had not called to check my insurance and I had to pay cash both times. Doctor and receptionist both berated me and humiliated me at the office. They made me feel horrible. This is not how medical professionals should treat patients. Absolutely yes, if you're thinking about coming here do yourself a favor and run here asap. Mind you I was coming here for a few months and fell off because of work and school is hard to juggle all at once- LIFE (*sigh*) but anyways last week I had gotten this weird intense pressure on my neck and could hardly move around work which is pretty bad considering I work on weekends in the customer service industry where I need to be full of energy and mobile. Let me tell you, I could not move my neck left or right and the only thing that could help was medication. I called that following Monday and was fit in right away. There timing is perfect and fast. For the next three days I went and got adjusted, stem treatment with heat compression and a massage which was the perfect remedy for whatever happened to my neck. I feel SO much better and I can move my neck again without medication. Dr. Ponce is very professional and kind, as well as the two women in the front. I cannot thank you all enough. Dr. Ponce worked wonders on me. His staff was amazing and attentive. The first appointment took a while, I was disappointed of how long I waited in the exam room, but I was in an awful amount of pain. He walked in and introduced himself and we got going right away on my treatment. Massage therapist was an angel she worked on me so much. And ice and tens system was also very wonderful. I was given exercises by dr. Ponce to help decrease these flare ups. I would and have recommended him to several people. Definitely worth the money, it was a little expensive for me because I paid out of pocket, so as much as I wanted to go weekly it was hard financially. Dr Ponce has helped me heal over the course of this year. I travel all over and have seen chiros across the U.S. I have to say, Dr. Ponce is more thorough and knowledgeable than my primary doctor. This is a growing practice, took a while to book my appointment, unlike a lot of other practices where you can pretty much walk in. That was the first good sign. I paid with my HSA, the initial visit was $140, higher than what I'm used to but it was an eye-opening experience and worth every cent. Dr. Ponce listened to all my issues and instead of jumping straight into the adjustment, he put me on a TENS-like machine with a heating pad to loosen the muscles. After 15 min of the machine, we went through a series of active release steps to correct my muscular problems. Finally the adjustment was done, easily, since we already warmed up the muscular-skeletal system. I also saw the massage therapist, Cassie. She is a gem! She listened to my main concerns and focused on those instead of wasting time on the rest of body just to cover her basis. She treated the glute with moves I've never seen before, namely, rotating the lower leg to get deeper into the tissue. The massage was $55 for an hour, great deal. The reception said the follow-up chiro visit would range between $45-65. I plan on coming back. read more
