It's Mother's Day and we stopped by my daughter's apartment to pick up a dinner she made for me and my other daughter and we had my grandbaby with us. We were parked at 8pm for 30 mins...we came out to leave in the rain and a rude guy had already towed my daughter vehicle with the car seat and baby stuff in it and we saw him leaving. We ran with baby in the stroller in the rain to stop him, and he said​ "I didn't have to stop and I was nice enough to stop and talk to you. I'll take $150 drop off fee right now and give you your car...I can just take it to the storage and you can pay $400- i can also call the police and you can talk to them about it." He was so rude, it was raining and my grandbaby was crying. My other daughter came out upset and he said you think "I am going to help you with your attitude?" My daughter said "but she has a baby in the rain and they were only here for 30 mins"...he was so incredibly awful. I wish I had his name but I got pictures of the truck.​ plus he had a girl that was smiling the whole time in the passenger seat which was probably his girlfriend. 1. Staff - they are rude, disrespectful, talk over you, and are completely unhelpful. After calling and being as polite as I possibly could be she starts talking over me as I was explaining that THEIR SYSTEM was not syncing to my apartment complexes system and they need to release it for free seeing how it's 1000000% their fault. I don't understand that I did everything in my power to do what I need to do to make sure I don't get towed. I registered the car with the apartments AND parking permits (aka their system) and making sure I'm parked in the right spot and yet it still got towed. Staff certainly couldn't give a shit and like I said started talking over me and claiming there was "nothing they can do about it" and that I had to pay for their mistakes. The only option I was given was to send an email which they aren't exactly swift responders and not exactly kind either even over email. Completely unprofessional and disgusting human beings. After being talked over, I started talking over her giving the same treatment that was being given to me and she hung up on me... ironic. Don't dish it if you can't take it bitch‍ 2. Ethics - their business practices definitely violate Texas codes. Not only have I experienced it first hand but if you read other reviews, clearly they are pretty comfortable doing it daily. The only reason why they have good reviews is because they are ONLY quick to tow people's vehicles, right or wrong they will still tow it faster than they will do anything. So only good reviews being from years ago from people that needed to tow a vehicle. My property manager had to call and yell at them because several residents are having the same issues with cars being towed because of THEIR system not working. He is looking into a different company because their business practices are unlike anything I've ever seen. 3. Email (screenshots will be provided) - I was told my only option was to email them which of course I did. I have been in contact with them for now months trying to receive my refund for the FIRST time my car was wrongfully towed. They finally got back to me and after going back and forth they eventually said they would take it up to management. Well surprise surprise. I have yet to receive ANYTHING having to do with my refund. As in "taking it to management" I believe that means completing disregarding you and avoiding doing their job. Cute. Not only have I had my own horrible experience with this company but my sister as well got towed twice for the same issues. So combined this company has taken over $600 from us. We are both students working full time and cannot afford to throw money towards money hungry companies. I can see now that their main goal as a company is to have the absolute worst customer service, horrible response time, and enrage anyone they deal with INCLUDING the people employing them!!!! Matter fact they should make that their mission statement I'm not at all surprised by their lack of responses. I'll start by saying there's a reason you can't find a good review about this place in the last decade. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. You can tell how money hungry they are, towing cars for no reason and breaking laws while doing so, as well as increasing the number of cars they tow DURING THE HOLIDAYS (very predatory behavior) while completely ignoring their alleged company value of "always putting their customers first" and their staff is neither knowledgeable nor polite. Staff is completely unsympathetic, rude, and unhelpful every time I go in, note that I say "every time" because I and others have a serious problem with this company towing cars for no reason, consistently. My apartment complex is currently trying to find a new towing company to work with, after several problems that my apartment manager has had to deal with with this company. My apartment manager has had many instances of the towing company's system not being synced up with my apartment's, meaning they are towing cars for no reason, furthering the idea that they are just scamming people for money. They have no sense of urgency and could not care less about wasting everyone's time, while they take their sweet time calling people up, laughing and giggling with other staff in the meantime. Be prepared to wait hours in line, while staff works extremely slow, with an attitude the whole time (younger girl with dark hair to be specific, beware) I was not told where to find my car, or how to leave the lot. The office is disgusting, appearing as though it has not been cleaned since the last good review of the place. (very long time) They tow hundreds of cars a day, I have had many conversations in line with others about how this company has wrongfully towed their cars. I have personally lost wages on days of work due to the fact that my car has been towed, while I am a registered resident of the complex. No one wants their car towed, and you would think during the holidays the staff would be even a little sympathetic, but unfortunately i think they are incapable of doing so. Trying to get ahold of anyone in charge is impossible, they claim there is no one higher up for you to talk to, and are very quick to talk over you on the phone. WARNING TO EVERYONE IN NORTH DALLAS / PRESTON HOLLOW My car broke down yesterday afternoon behind my house in the alley at 5934 Harvest Hill Rd (less than 24 hours). No warning tag, not blocking anything. This morning Southwest Auto Tow towed it anyway. Here's the problem: * Their "towing allowed" signs are 150 feet away with tiny 2-inch letters. * From where my car was parked you can't read a single word (photo below). * Texas law (Occupations Code §2308.252) says the sign has to be legible from the parking space. It's not even close. * They refused to listen to the law and told me "pay or leave." This is a textbook illegal predatory tow. I'm a renter who needs my car to get to work or I lose my job. I went out to dinner with my partner in Dallas and paid $25 for parking in a single spot. Not even 30 minutes later, my car was towed. The reason given was that I was supposedly double-parked or parked on the line. While I was on the phone trying to locate my car, the tow truck actually came back to the lot -- and right next to where I had parked, there was another car visibly parked across two spaces. That vehicle was not towed. I had to pay $180 to retrieve my car, and it had only been gone for about two hours. I always make sure to park correctly to avoid damage or issues, so this experience was incredibly frustrating and felt unfair. I will be filing a claim. read more

They did not tow my car but they did get the uninsured truck that hit my car. The piece of trash who was driving it not only did not have insurance but an expired license. Plus, the truck is not registered in their name! I'm guessing they bought it from someone but never transferred ownership. I've had multiple conversations with police about this business. I was towed from somewhere that I shouldn't have been parked. BUT, it appears that this company tows cars without notifying police (which appears to be illegal?). I had assumed my car was towed, but after calling multiple tow companies, I was told that my car was not in an online system that they all share, and to call the police because my car must have been stolen. According to the police, all tows must be reported to police within 2 hours of being towed. Police told me to file a police report, and was told to let detectives take care of the rest. I still contacted the restaurant across the street from where I was towed, asking if they have any security cameras that have a view of the lot where my car was stolen. They did not, but did give me the contact information of who frequently tows cars at this lot (not the same phone number on the sign in the lot). I called and emailed "Peak Auto Storage" multiple times (they don't answer the phone). I finally received an email that "Southwest Auto Tow" towed my car to "Peak Auto Storage" (both have same address). I paid $280 to get my car back. This fee included a $50 "Notification Fee" which their website says is for "notifying the proper authorities of the impound vehicle as required by state laws." No one notified me that my car was towed, and (according to police) they did not notify authorities after. This company towed me without telling me or the police, but still got paid for telling both me and the police. I also had to act as a detective to locate my car. This shitty business happily would have let my car sit in their lot for days, letting my fees rack up, and not tell me. read more

Do your best to make sure you never end up here. My car was towed in error from my complex something I hope never happens again. This place has the worst service ever. The line was super long and they only had one person working. What made matters even worse was there was no air for the customers. However, the workers behind the glass had air. Luckily, a nice customer there went to the store and bought gallons of water and cups for us to stay hydrated while waiting in line. At one point, the one employee working took a 15 minute break. At some point, another worker finally arrived, and they had two employee working. It still took almost 3 hours before I finally got to an employee and got my car back. ZERO STARS!!! TERRIBLE PLACE. They wrongfully towed my car from a PUBLIC PARKING LOT. They refused to give me the car back without paying. The first time we called to ask about the car they said the total was $275 we explained to them it was a wrongful towing and they hung up on us. We called again and they said the price was now $325, they had raised the price $50 for telling them they illegally took the car. We called police, court, and sheriffs office to help us and they told us they cannot help us. I have two young daughter one being only 6 weeks old and the other one is 1 and I had to take to the hospital because she is sick. We were not able to take anything out of the car including their car seats so I couldn't take my sick daughter to the doctors. My car was towed about a year and a half ago from a lot outside of Cowboy's Red River that had no signs indicating "no parking". They had lots of tow trucks going back and forth to that lot. They must have towed dozens of people that night, who thought that they were parked legally. I wonder if the tow company took down the "no parking" signs so that people would park there... We all waited for hours in the middle of the night to get our cars back. I challenged with TDLR, and after a year and a half, just received a reimbursement check in the mail! I would leave zero stars if that was an option. This company employs illiterate tow drivers who obviously can't read simple things like parking spot numbers or license plates on cars. On May 18th one of their "finest" came to the apartment complex to tow a car that had been illegally parked in parking spot 23-D. But instead, this genius ended up STEALING my car from my reserved and paid for parking space. They reported the tow to the Dallas Police just before and even gave the Police the description and plate number of the car they were going to tow. However, the driver ended up stealing my car from spot 23-I and took it to their nasty ass lot where they kept it until I finally tracked it down. I called the police to report the theft of my car and that's when it was realized that this incompetent company "took" the wrong car from the wrong parking space. They admitted that their driver took the wrong car from the wrong spot spot but never as much as offered an apology. Nothing. They returned my car six hours after stealing it. Covered in dirt and mud and with damage to chrome on one of my wheels. I left voice mail after voice mail and they refuse to call me back. So, I will be filling a civil lawsuit against the company, the owner, the driver who stole my car, and their insurance company if necessary. So my car was towed from my loft for whatever reason and I had to pick it up from these dirtbags, which turned out to be the most infuriating experience ever. First lets talk about how there is no lobby for you if you have to deal with these lowlifes, you have to talk to highly unprofessional C***s through a window. When speaking with the people, I was ask to provide "any paperwork to prove ownership of my car" so I walk to my car and grabbed what paperwork that was left inside my car, since it was ransacked before the tow. the paper I grabbed was from when i had serve done to my car and it had all of my vehicle information as well as my name on the paper. not only that but I have the keys and I gave the vehicle descriptions as well as know where it was towed from. Pretty much shows I own the F'ing car, Right? So i go back to the window to show the paperwork as well as pay the fee so i can get my car so that i can go about my business... Well the trash speaking to me behind the window starts saying that i can't use the paper with no explanation as says i have to pay an additional fee to get my car out. from there things devolved. I've had my car towed before and i had less of a headache getting my car back but these lowlife crooks love to extort owners extra money apparently. We start to argue and only scum like the folks that work here could've brought out the worst in me because if there was dividing us, I would've gladly caught a charge and then some. It gets to the point that they threaten to tow my car to a different location. at this point i see its pointless to talk to these uneducated individuals and i would have to take things into my own hands, I find a way to jump over the wall and get my car ut i was blocked off. thats around the time cops showed up. they heard me out and help with the process of me getting my car out. even they know Tow yards are ran by crooks and cons with no future. its crazy how it took the most extreme measures just for them to let me pay to get MY OWN DAMN CAR. Very poor customer service and response. We have used this company as our HOA tow service for years. Over time they have gotten worse and worse. Called for them to come on property to replace tattered paper signs (cheap replacement for metal no parking signs) and no one responded, returned a call or replaced the signs. When we did call them in the past it would a long time before they showed up. We are done with them and moving onto another more reliable source for our needs. read more
