I never had a cavity in my life. Ever. It even showed in my records that they have since I was a child that I've never had any issues besides having braces. So when I went to Melissa for my first time, I was shocked when she said she found a tiny cavity on one of my premolars. I thought whatever, that time had to come eventually so I scheduled to get a filling. My entire life changed after the moment she started drilling into my tooth. I noticed after the numbing wore off that hot & cold food made my tooth that was filled feel like a shot of pain through my entire head.. and when I bit down on something with that tooth, it felt like it was going to shatter. So I went back & told Melissa what happened, she drilled my tooth down, gave me sensitivity tooth paste & sent me on my way. I came back TWO MORE TIMES AND SHE JUST KEPT DRILLING DOWN MY TOOTH FURTHER AND FURTHER. I have been to three different dentists now & each one has said that I need a root canal because of how far Melissa drilled down into my tooth, she literally hit my nerve & it shows in the xrays below. If the cavity was so little why in the world did you drill all the way down to my nerve!!! I have spent countless dollars now trying to fix the botched cavity filling Melissa performed. She honestly should have her dental license removed for malpractice. It's absolutely ridiculous. I have cried over this, I still can't chew or drink anything cold or hot on the left side of my mouth & I've had to wait a year and a half now to get a root canal because I had to get an entirely new dental plan to cover it. I'd just like to say that I'm only twenty years old, I have to pay $2000 for a root canal at twenty years old but somehow I've went my entire life without a cavity until I went to Melissa Rea's office. I've waited 2 years now to post a review about how bad my experience was because I'm still in pain from it & I'm so upset that I let someone whose clearly inexperienced ruin my dental hygiene. The smells of the office, the pain, the condescending remarks about my teeth, the anxiety about where the money will come from. Anything and everything about even considering visiting a dentist makes me want to take a double dose of xanax. After visiting a few dentist with no such luck in the past 2 years I asked my doctor who I trust immensely if he had any recommendations and he gave me Dr. Zora Hanko's name/number. It took me a few days to finally call but when I did I was surprised that i was almost immediately put at ease by the incredibly kind receptionist. I briefly told her my concerns and the level of anxiety I generally have and she actually listened, took note and genuinely seemed to care. This morning I woke up 4 hours before my appointment due to an already increased build up of anxiety. It turns out none of this anxiety was necessary. After sitting in the waiting room for only about 5 minutes I was brought back to the exam room by the dental hygienist. I can not remember her name but she was so sweet and kind. Then Dr. Hanko came in and since she knew how anxious I was, instead of getting straight to work she sat down next to the chair and asked me to tell her about my self, what my concerns with my teeth are and what she could do to make my appointments easier. When I was giving her my information she listened, asked questions when necessary and not once made me feel judged. Then she asked if she could take a look in my mouth. Part way through her examining my teeth I realized for the first time ever I was sitting in a dentist chair and NOT shaking with anxiety. I left the appointment with a plan of action for my crazy teeth, another appointment and absolutely no anxiety in sight. Best. Feeling. Ever.

He failed to provide a good fitting crown of correct height and shape that she could bite on. He does not know how to use CEREC machine that mills crowns. Dr. Moreno lied that he would make just an mini-invasive overlay but he decimated original molar. Chesterfield Smiles clinic staff is rude careless and inhuman, especially dental assistant Dani. Dani treated my wife in a very condescending and humiliating manner, while being upset, scraping the prepared tooth, without doctor license and she made the tooth very sensitive. She did significant health damage, too. They kept us in a small cubicle for 4 days like hostages without food, they were unable to figure out how to do it correctly and did not know how to save data in CEREC memory. Since Dr. Moreno`s "treatment" my wife is on liquid or soft diet, unable to chew and she has to take opiates against pain. They triggered TMJD pain. Criminal dentistry! It was a very traumatizing experience for my wife. I was present and witnessed the entire treatment of my wife. A half a year after Dr. Moreno failed treatment around Thanksgiving 2025, my wife still has a hole/space there and she still cannot chew till now, May 2026. Chesterfield Smiles refuse to take any responsibility and they broke medical and ethical laws. Malpractice, negligence and ignorance!

I had a routine cavity that Dr Chen work on and ended up underestimating how deep it was from the X-ray. She did a botched filling that I had to go in and get fixed and even after that I experienced terrible pain. I couldn't even chew rice. Dr Kleinova even commented how she packed the filling too much. I couldn't even floss without it getting stuck. One day a piece of my tooth came out and I went to the office and Vincent asked me what I did to make that happen. COME ON! When I saw Dr Chen she said there was no hole in my tooth even though I assured her there was. She said it was excess filling. Then a few weeks later when my pain increased dramatically and I couldn't drink or eat on that side without sharp pain, I emailed Vincent and asked if Dr. K could work on the tooth instead and he suggested another dentist. PLEASE IF YOU'RE READING THIS DR. K, COULD YOU PLEASE TAKE ME THIS ONE TIME? I've been suffering with this for over a year now b/c I'm terrified to walk into another office. I know they fired Dr Chen as they should have since she did such a terrible job on multiple patients. I know Dr. K is a great dentist. The least this office could do is repair Chens work on the traumatized patients.

I've been trying to figure it out for a year and my last dentist just said it was a cavity which it was not. The real star is Vincent, he really came through for me when I was having issues trying to get my night gear and Invisalign covered by insurance. He knows what it means to be a patient advocate. I've found my go to dentist after only 3 years of being in LA!
