I selected Legacy hastily from an insurance provider search during Dr. Darling's last weeks before retirement. I came in with a range of severe, long-neglected dental issues that could no longer be ignored, and I have never been treated with such kindness and empathy in *any* medical environment, beginning with assistant DJ, who met me at my worst. I am now a patient of Dr. Cousins, and the service and care I've received are nothing short of exceptional. A previous provider led me to believe that fixing my dental issues would be difficult and cost-prohibitive, which made it far easier to drift into inaction. Eventually, I was too afraid and embarrassed to speak to any dentist for a second opinion, and I trained myself to smile with my mouth closed to conceal the more obvious problems. I can't believe how fortunate I am to have lucked into finding this practice during a time of crisis. Dr. Cousins puts patients above the bottom line. He is compassionate, non-judgmental, and attentive to patient comfort. He will not perform procedures that might cause avoidable pain (ex: he sent me home in advance of one procedure to allow extra time for an infection to heal fully). He has a calming demeanor and invests in tools that make for better and faster procedures. He'll even tell you how he heard about them from another cutting-edge dentist on Instagram;) In short, I came to him with a mess and an oral health situation that was profoundly impacting my general health. I now have a plan to correct it, and I am already retraining myself to smile my natural, authentic, open-mouth smile. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Cousins and his staff to anyone. read more

I've been going here for some time and while I like Dr. Darling and the care she gave, I have been painfully disappointed by by the office staff. It turns out we are just a number after all in this practice's eyes despite my loyalty, referrals and keeping my family here. I've been a loyal patient for years and feel downright betrayed, and feel they have betrayed my child as well. I made an appointment for my 4-year-old daughter to get her checkup, all seems to go well until I get a text from the office saying that her appointment is cancelled due to an "unpaid balance." I investigated and found it was not an unpaid balance that I paid, but my wife did not pay because she disputes the billing. They made it clear it was not my bill or my daughter's, but my wife's, over an implant in which they processed in a manner that was not approved by or agreed upon by my wife, and so she disputed the charges. It turns out the office has a policy that no family members can be seen if 1 member of the family has an outstanding balance, they will not see any of the family members. So, because of my wife's dispute of the charges with the office, they will not see me or my daughter until my wife pays them. They claimed they'd tried to reach my wife and could not reach her, and I said nobody tried to contact me, to which they replied "Well it's not your bill." So because of this dispute and the office's heartless, greedy policy they are denying dental care to both myself, but my 4-year-old daughter, and that I will NOT stand by and take lightly!!! I might be a bit more understanding if it were just me, but you do NOT mess with my daughter, and it makes me sick that they are going to involve an innocent 4-year-old girl into their billing dispute with my wife. I informed them that we will NOT be patients there anymore, and they didn't even make any effort to retain me or my daughter, so it's pretty obvious they don't care about patients or patient loyalty. My daughter and I are just drops in the bucket to them, it's clear. I've never had an outstanding balance on my behalf or on behalf of my daughter, I have been a loyal patient for years, and because they have a grievance with one person in our household they will punish the rest of us, and stoop to the low of denying a 4-year-old dental care. It's painfully clear to me that patients, patient loyalty, good patient behavior and repeat business means nothing to this practice anymore! Myself and my daughter are downright betrayed by this bottom-feeding policy and collection tactic, and ought to be ashamed of themselves. NEVER AGAIN will I use this practice or have anything good to say about it. Because, you're a valuable patient to them, until you're not, or until someone in your family is not. Was a long-time patient until Dr Cousins took over. Most rude, unprofessional and condescending medical person I have ever encountered. Also, they clearly took on too many patients as 6 month cleanings had to be scheduled 9 months out. Moved my whole family to a new dentist and haven't looked back. Posting on behalf of my mother: Amanda Darling has been my dentist for many years. Unfortunately, this past July I went to her to have my bridge renewed. During the initial process, she had accidentally grinded down my healthy canine tooth. I even complained to her that it was very painful and sensitive afterwards, but she ignored me. I came back to have my new bridge put in by one of her young assistants. I was sent home with a new bridge, but still with a damaged canine tooth. The sensitivity of my canine tooth progressively got worse to a point where I couldn't even smile because the air touching it would cause me so much pain. I decided to come back to confront Amanda by addressing the fact she ruined my perfectly healthy tooth and how much pain and emotional damage she caused me by ignoring the problem right from the start. She offered to "fix" it by having the same young assistant do a thin partial fill, which was nothing more than a cosmetic fix because the pain and sensitivity never went away. After about a month, I came back because the pain and sensitively got worse. Amanda took an x-ray of my tooth and stated she couldn't find any problems. What I basically got from that visit was "what do you want me to do about it" because I was asked to leave without a fix to the problem she created. The unprofessionalism of how she knew she made a mistake and didn't even tell me when it had happened. I had to endure pain and suffering for a while before I realized the reason and cause. Then, to have to be the one to bring it to her attention twice before she attempted to resolve the problem made it even more frustrating. The most sickening part was that she had the audacity to bill me for my last visit when she to do her job of fixing my tooth. read more

Over priced and they use dental students. I got three fillings about a year back and two of them had to be redone and still cause me pain to this day. My wife and I will not return. Seeing as this office is now commenting and lying about using students I will also include I have now needed to get a crown and root canal on that tooth because when they filled it THREE times they cracked it. I came here after getting a referral from my mom who is quite nervous about the dentist, so I obviously had to check it out! The staff were all exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. When I first arrived, they showed me around the office, which made me feel invited and welcomed. The dental assistant I had made sure to get to know me, which made me more comfortable. Ok so i walked into the downtown location, and asked how much it cost to be seen as a self pay person with no insurance, i was told it was 200 dollars to be seen at the downtown location, and 75 to be seen at creve coure location!!!!???? What in the hell? Why such a price difference? I couldnt physically make it to the other locations, im definately confused as to why there is such a difference in cost???!!!??? I could have afforded the 75, but not 200, which resulted in having to go to er!!!!!!! And yes cost me a shit load more, but can be billed!!!!!! read more

I went to a dentist in Wildwood off of 100 - they had a wonderful office and all new equipment. When I left I had an estimate to put veneers and crowns on. I was told that i had massive amonts of material under my fillings and needed to have LOTS of work done ASAP. Very expensive. So - being the penny pinching broke dad that I am, I looked for a second opion. I am SO HAPPY that I did. I went to Legacy and had a great experience. They took a look and scheduled me to come back for a cleaning. When I went back they took the time to take photos and x-rays and then did a good cleaning - pain free. Then the Dr. Came in and reviewed the x-rays and did and exam which included a quick check for gum cancer. She then showed me that there were NO issues and very little chance of the need for a root canal. No up sell- no need for huge expense. I would truly and sincerely recommend this practice to anyone in need of cleaning and general dental care. They have a wonderful office and top notch equipment. Great place read more

I'm usually to lazy to write reviews unless I receive horrible service but when it comes to the dentist I feel like it's rare to find a decent one, let alone a great one. So look no further! Dr. Darling and her team are nothing short from amazing! After having bad experiences with dentists throughout my life I decided that I don't need a dentist. I mean, Tom Hanks did it in Cast Away, worst case scenario I'd have to buy an ice skate and do my own dental work (which honestly didn't sound like a bad idea). So I retired from the dentist for almost 10 years.... During that time, a filling fell out, I started feeling pain on the both sides of my mouth, I chipped a tooth, and eventually just used one side of my mouth to chew because it was to painful to use the other. Unfortunately I had to give up on my dream of never having to go back to the dentist. When the dreaded day came I was extremely nervous, I knew my teeth were pretty jacked up and I was embarrassed of letting anyone see how bad I let them go. To my surprise, Dr. Darling and her staff exceeded my expectations. Everyone there is very helpful, warm, and friendly and the general atmosphere is very comfortable. They explained everything to me in detail and came up with a dental plan to get me back to where I needed to be. After getting some extensive work done (which was handled gently and pain free) I can happily say I can chew food on both sides of my mouth and i actually look forward to my dentist visits. yes it was all clean friendly and she was amazing but please read the fine print....if you have a crisis in your family you will still be charged $50.00 dollars for having to miss an appointment.(son had asthma attack) next forget trying to arrange treatment plan around your financial situation...they can afford to have give aways and freebies because they are so focused on you having the whole procedure done instead of doing it in steps to allow you to arrange it around your finances . i truly just wanted to have the pain stop. so instead of calling me and asking me what the situation was i received a certified letter telling me they would see me only for emergency needs for 30 days and our professional relationship was ending after that 30 days. this is laughable as all i wanted was to be out of pain..nothing was professional about this situation. dental pain causes alot of abnormal behavior which this dentist knows a call from her would have been nice to hear my side. i was in hopes the letter would have been a letter telling me to call her . john r. read more

I have extreme dental anxiety. I hadn't visited a dentist in a few years and I worried about going after not having been. I chipped a tooth and called Legacy Dental after finding them online. I got right in. I went in for a full exam a few days later after I learned they would help me manage the anxiety during treatment. I had to have some work done, but I didn't feel a thing and was relaxed the whole time. For the first time in a long time I don't panic when I have to see the dentist.
