I wasn't sure if the battery was dying or just affected by the extreme cold temps this week and my lack of driving it often. Yesterday, when it wouldn't start, for the second timer his week, I decided it needs a new battery. The problem was, I couldn't start it to go to an auto parts or a repair shop. I called roadside assistance to come out and start me, but it would be a few hours. So I started pricing out and checking stock at my nearby auto parts stores, which both priced me about $200 for the best battery. Yesterday, advanced auto parts said they could put one in for me no problem, but today they say they don't it because of liability, which is understandable. So then I remembered this awesome place up the street from my house! I called and spoke to Frank, who has helped me before and he saved my day! I was able to cancel my roadside assistance request. Frank offered to drive the 2 blocks to my house and start it so I could come have them put a battery in, at no extra charge!! Thank goodness I called them, because it took a lot of extra work someone at an auto parts store may not have been able to deal with. Frank carefully assessed and fixed everything! He went way above and beyond my highest expectations from an auto shop. They even charged me less than what the auto parts store would have, yet provided what I'm assuming is even better service. Bonus, I got to stand in a warm garage and watch as I waited. I plan to continue taking my car here so they can help me keep it in tip top shape! Thanks Frank! ***Side note for all my animal lover friends*** Frank also helped me and some others save an old chow chow who was roaming near the shop last summer. He was kind enough to walk the dog down to my house so I could keep her until Stray Rescue came to pick her up. I'm an animal lover, so I especially like to support places that also care for animals.

In the past I was told that 4 people were working on my car but that was not the case this time. The man took the vehicle at my request, and returned it in about 2 hours or less. The job usually takes 3 hours. I've always had a good relationship with the business, and always tipped. I just didn't feel it was worth the money this time and will be looking elsewhere.

After playing phone tag for a few days (my only negative), I finally made a weekday appointment (required per the Groupon fine print) for the Express Detailing (normally $95). (ps: don't expect to get a Saturday appointment right away). Dropped off my car this morning, and just picked it up. True to their name, my car has that SHOWROOM SHINE! I'd pay the $95 - it's well worth it! Groupon offered an option for mobile detailing for a bit more. If you don't want to drive over to Bermuda Rd off 70, that might be a good deal. The guys are young, but very professional and take pride in their work. I'll be going back!

Because of the angle of his adventure, it took longer than expected to fix. They initially were going to bend it out but it wouldn't hold the tail light so they replaced the entire fender. They also touched up a couple of other small spots that I had pointed out to them. They kept me up to date as they worked on it and the final result is awesome. I asked the tech I picked it up from about doing some additional things and he was very helpful on DIY options for my little task.
