The doctor is ok, I said ok because have a problem at the receptionist desk. Not judging nobody. I don't know her name but I can say she's more The heavy set one, every time somebody woke up or have something to say she gets an attitude. Talking very slick older folks and people that do not want to start nothing. The old saying if you don't want to be at work to not come. read more

I went there 3 weeks ago. I was accused of faking on my eye exam because I wanted glasses. this is extremely unprofessional. I don't know if I wanna go back. They should never have accused me. They should've asked. I feel uncomfortable going back to a place that essentially calls me a liar for whatever reason. I won't be going back. read more

This is great office , however on today the receptionist shoved paperwork n my face . I advised her that I have already competed those forms. She refused to accept my statement (Chris and Maggie) This was a very stressful visit.,I feel like a energizer bunny after my check in.The doctors assistant made me feel more comfortable. While prepping me for the doctor a senior perdi came in..never acknowledge that I was in the room..then we share a verbiage for a few seconds..she said she saw me way back however she was hanging pictures so she didn't or ,didn't care to speak..whoever I will sw Dr. Keveline..when I walked oo the office two of the tech where in the office whispering and when they saw me, acted like they where busy. read more

Dr.Keverline has been my eye doctor from 2012 to 2024 and I would never have anyone else. Two cataract surgeries in 2012 and one YAG surgery in 2022 and check ups every year.Perfect hands as I tell him! I trust my eyes totally to him.He is the absolute best eye surgeon in existence. When he retires I'm done going to eye doctors!I would give him a higher number of stars than five if they offered them! Office is clean, comfortable, quiet, efficient and waiting time is minimal.During the pandemic everything was well organized.I can't say enough good things about him and his business!! read more

I've been going here for 5 or 6 years. I had a brow and lid lift a couple years ago and from the 1st time I went to them I was very impressed. They are very professional and take care of insurance and everything. I'm headed for surgery on Dec 1st to remove cataracts from my eyes I am scared lolol like a big baby but I've heard good things about this optomologist. I feel like he will make sure his patients are taken very good care of. He does the injections in your eyes during surgery so you don't have to use the steroid drops. I'm trusting this man with my vision. I'll write back in a few months to let you know how happy I am. read more

Sorry but "we can't to do anything about the mistake we made" is what I was told on the phone. I took off work to make my 3pm appointment and I arrive to find out that Southside Eyecare canceled my appointment and didn't call me to notify me. I get paid hourly so this is extremely frustrating. Brianne, the receptionist, told me "I" canceled the appointment a few times. I told her that I wish she would stop saying I canceled because I definitely didn't cancel my appointment without rescheduling a new one. Keep in mind, they installed a new system recently which may have caused the issue. To that she got irritated with me and said sir I'm just not getting through to you. I told her I can hear you please continue. To that she repeated the same thing with an awful attitude. I don't know why but I was simply and legitimately correcting her. Maggie, Brianne's supervisor, was nice but, ultimately did not fit in a time for me. I called the next day to have Southside Eye Care make things right but the office manager Anne, told me they couldn't and wouldn't do anything for me. All I asked was for them to pay me back the hour of work I missed due to Southside Eye Care's negligence. To that she said I want to make it right but I can't do that. Well, I got to ask how can you actually make it right? A sorry does nothing. I understand this office is constantly busy but, that's no excuse for the way I was treated. I've been here since I was a little kid and iam just shocked to see this. A quick rundown: I walk in and am told I canceled my appointment and they get mad at me when I dispute it and then no solution is offered other than to reschedule an appointment that I already scheduled. Please give me a solution. I am very curious as to how you can make this right. read more

Permanent damage!!!! I had a routine cataract surgery November 2022. I was scheduled for both eye surgeries and thank god in heaven i didn't have the second surgery done. Post op I specifically told Dr. Keverline That I had a pain in my eye. I was told not to worry to call if there were any changes. The following day i called to inform the office that the pain was still there. The day after that I called to inform the office that my entire eyeball hurt I was told to take a Tylenol and to call back if there was any changes. On the 4th day after surgery I was blind!!!!!!!!!! At that point doctor Keverline called me back to instruct me to meet him at his office on a Sunday afternoon. Upon meeting he called a retina specialist and I was directed to their office 45 minutes later do to the emergency of endophthalmitis. A rare eye infection. No one will admits how or why it happened. No one is calling me back. No attorney will take the malpractice case. So i am left permanently damaged and eight months later still being treated for permanent inflammation that will never go away. I have fallen and herniated 2 discs in my spine and had surgery all because of impaired vision. Doctor Keverline in Southside eye center has completely disrupted my life. Any opportunity I have 2 share my experience I will in hopes of avoiding anyone being as depressed and interrupted as I have been in the last 8 months!! read more

I returned today to have the eyelid surgery done. I really love the professional attitude and care given by Dr. Keverline. Although this was to be a very minor procedure I was very nervous when I arrived. Dr. Keverline talked me though the entire procedure which helped immensely. He then removed the two growths almost painlessly and quickly. He has very steady hands and I never felt uncomfortable. His assistant is very upbeat and charming. She made me feel very much at ease. With a very short wait in the waiting room included I was in and out in around an hour. read more

I went in to pick up glasses for my mother. The woman behind the register was distracted and speaking over her shoulder to someone a few feet behind her. She greeted me and I told her my reason for coming. She asked if my mother had called ahead to let them know another person would pick up her glasses, I replied that I wasn't sure. I couldn't call to check because I'd left my cellphone at home, thinking this would be a quick trip . I suggested she call my mom. She then asked if my mother had gotten glasses from this location before, once again I replied I wasn't sure but she could give her a call just to confirm. Not once did this woman attempt to call my mother. She just advised me she couldn't give me the glasses because the fit or prescription may be off. It was a very dry encounter and let's not even begin on the lack of customer service. Being that this is the weekend and my mother was working she will now have to pick up her glasses on Monday. Three extra days without her glasses! Oh by the way my mother had actually called ahead to let them know I would be coming, I guess no one documented that. read more

I came here after my regular ophthalmologist (a specialist who doesn't prescribe glasses prescriptions) told me to get new glasses because my prescription has changed since last Fall when I got new glasses. Ann with Southside told me I was seeing 20/200 with my old glasses and would be seeing 20/60 and 20/80 with my new glasses. Dr Keverline cautioned me to wait to get new glasses but I have waited 3 months and my regular opthalmologist said my prescription has been stable for months and I could not function at 20/200 vision (that is legally blind) so I ordered new glasses knowing that I will be eligible for new glasses in January if my prescription changes again. When my new glasses came in today, I tried them on and told them that my vision is better with the right eye but not the left. Then, they told me that my new prescription was exactly the same in my left eye as my old glasses. What they told me before I ordered was that I am able to see 20/200 vision with my old glasses but 20/60 vision with the new glasses so I believed that it was obviously a different prescription plus my regular doctor told me my prescription had changed. I asked how can it be the same prescription and my vision would go from 20/200 to 20/60 and Ann told me she does not know. I told them that of course I can't see better with the new glasses if they have the same prescription as my old glasses and it would be crazy to think otherwise. I tried to schedule a vision check so that I can get the right prescription in my glasses and they can't see me for 3 weeks because the doctors are on vacation or full. It was 5pm so they couldn't see me today but I just want to be seen tomorrow to get the right prescription in my glasses so I can see. I'm awake because I'm so upset, I can't sleep. If they cared about the fact that I can't see and my prescription is wrong they would get me in tomorrow (for a quick refraction that takes less than 15 minutes) no matter how busy they are. Now, I don't have glasses and I can't see and it's not my fault and I don't even know what to do. I can't go anywhere else because they have already billed my insurance and I paid over 100 dollars out of pocket. Follow up - this happened on a Monday and they were able to get me in for an RX check on my left eye on Friday instead of having to wait 3 weeks. I still believe that this was way too long to make me wait for something that was not my fault. My new prescription was a -5.50 (subjectively and objectively) instead of -4.50 so a new lens has been ordered for the left eye. I feel that I was treated very rudely by the staff here, specifically Ann, and will be going elsewhere for glasses in the future. read more

Great customer service! I was well taken care of. Eye exam went smooth, personnel was pleasant. I was very happy with the customer service in the optical shop- Alexis was very patient with me as I was trying on a lot of frames and she helped me pick the right frame. She also helped me fix my current glasses by changing screws. I will be returning here for my next yearly eye exam! read more

Had a 3 o'clock appointment and after sitting in waiting room until 4, decided my time is as important as theirs and went to the front desk and asked to reschedule. No apologies or explanation for the excessive wait time. Decided to not reschedule and look for eye care elsewhere. read more
