We finished with the bread pudding, and the wine flight paired beautifully with the meal. Our server made the evening even better. She was warm, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the food. She explained the flavors in each dish and how they worked together, which made us appreciate everything even more. When I asked whether we could see the farm, she immediately found General Manager Raleigh Swan. Raleigh spent about half an hour personally walking us through the edible landscaping, raised garden beds, mushroom growing room, and hydroponics room. He explained what they grow and how it all connects to the restaurant. Seeing it firsthand was fascinating. The food and service would have made this a wonderful night on their own. That personal tour made it one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had. Thank you to Raleigh and the entire team for sharing what makes The Hope Farm so special. We can't wait to come back!

Service as friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The ambiance is a bit loud, and the live music outside was not audible despite the live feed into the dining room. From the outside, Southern Seafood looks like any regular neighborhood store, but once you're inside you'll know this is anything but a regular store. One side of the shop has fresh caught seafood which you can buy. I bought fresh shrimp. The front of the shop offers soda, beer, and food items. On the other side of the shop they serve the best soul food I've tasted outside of my mom's kitchen. I ordered, which was full of shrimp, crab, okra and it had a huge crab claw in it. The gumbo was tasty and well seasoned. I had two bowls. The catfish was fried a golden brown. The black-eyed peas were perfect and tender. The fried chicken was juicy and crunchy. Everything was perfect!!! I can't wait to go back.

The staff is super friendly. I loved how convenient this place is. The best thing that I got was a shrimp that was a five out of five, the catfish was four out of five, everything else was good. I highly recommend this place would come back.

No bad review Main course short ribs frites W/ au poivre EXCELLENT !!! Only regret no green peppercorns in the sauce (maybe due to farm to table requirements) Great food. Best lunch in Mobile as of today ! Service was good. However one of our entrees served 5 minutes after everyone else. Definitely recommend this place. One more thing: The pomes frites ABSOLUTELY THE BEST FRIES I HAVE EVER EATEN: BELGIUM HAS NOTHING ON THESE FRIES. I am 75 years old and been all over Europe. This is the birthplace of American Fries. THIS PLACE DESERVES TABLECLOTHS BTW: wood table sticky and did not feel clean due to finish on the table.

The sweet tea is the best we've ever had. The pickled shrimp is a classic 'Bama recipe. The Waygu double cheese burger will haunt my dreams with its juicy goodness. The steak & frites were very good. Tender with a sauce that was lush on the tongue. We were too full for dessert, but the blueberry cobbler looked amazing. Reservations are recommended, but they'll welcome you in like family either way. Vintage building adds so much character to this charming restaurant.

I was finally able to make a point of making a special trip over there on a Saturday late afternoon. Unfortunately it still wasn't the best timing for a first trip or making a review as we were limited to what we could order based on the fact that their hours state they close at 5 but they shut the kitchen down at 4:30 and we got there just after 4. It's hard going out for dinner to a place that closes at 4:30. I ordered a sausage sandwich which to my delight was not the monotonous Conecuh. It was really good and reminiscent of some of the whole in the wall places in Texas that does good sausage. The only draw back was that being near closing time they didn't have links but was able to do slices. It was good but hard to eat. My hubs got chicken and ribs. I liked the ribs... they still had some bite, tender but not falling apart, and the smoke is mild, not overkill like so many other places do. Hubs wasn't a huge fan of but I thought they were nice. The chicken was on the dry side, but I never go to a bbq joint to order chicken so it's not a deal breaker for me. The only major downer was that all of our sides seemed to be standard pre-made and ordered items, not made in-house. I also liked the hole in the wall vibe, the friendly staff, and the divine smoke aroma that lets you know you're in the right bbq joint. All in all I enjoyed their Q and will need to go back when I can get the timing right to sample their steam table offerings.
