He came promptly, and gave us a complete inspection with pictures. He then performed the needed repairs a few days later, and at very good price. I used New Leaf to roof my previous home, and was exceptionally pleased then as well. Both times Jordon was able to accomplish everything in good time, and at a good price. And we have always been most pleased about the quality of work. Find a roofer is both good and honest in this area can be quite challenging, but we have been very pleased !

On March 9th around 1130 am, I spoke to the owner ( Jordan) and asked to get a estimate for my roof. The first question asked by Jordan was to see my insurance estimate. Shouldn't a good, honest, reliable roofer look at my roof first BEFORE looking to see how much my insurance is going to pay????? I have a large deductible and many roofing companies will not make much money off of me. I was a little skeptical and unsure but I went ahead and made a appointment with Jordan the same day, March 9th at 5 pm. After our phone conversation, I emailed him a copy of my insurance estimate that he requested (See photo 2). He never showed up. No phone call. No text. Nothing. Around 530 pm, I called Jordan and asked if he was still coming. Jordan didn't sound shocked nor surprised that he missed a appointment. He stated he was working on something and overlooked my appointment. His excuse was he had grease all over himself and was embarrassed to be seen. Jordan offered to come by the next day and assess my roof. I made a appointment for the next day but decided to cancel. From this experience and my first impression, I would not recommend New Leaf Roofing.

When the appointment time came, he arrived on time, he was friendly and explained the problem to my husband, advised us to replace our builders plastic vent with a metal one. We agreed. He said he'd send us a quote in a few days. That was a Tuesday. After three days, I figured our quote got lost in the shuffle. We're all human so I left a message. "Hi, thanks for coming out to inspect our roof, we'd like to move forward with all the work you recommended. Looking forward to receiving the quote from you." :::::Crickets::::: I'm not sure what happened. It's sad because everything was perfect right up to the failure to respond. This is the company we wanted to work with; it just wasn't meant to be.

After the insurance "inspection" resulted in a denial, we called Sellars Construction to help us to support the damage. Progressive refused to send another "inspector" without further evidence. So, Ean came out to the house and took more than 50 pictures to support hail damage. The insurance adjuster approved a second inspection for our appeal but would only provide a 3 hour window...and we were out of town! Ean stepped up, parked in my driveway at 8a, and stayed at the house for more than 2 hours waiting for inspector. The good news is...Ean went on the roof with the inspector and showed him all of the damage...and made sure that they inspected the ENTIRE roof. GOOD NEWS...we got approved! And, the best part is...the roof installation (which is finishing as I type) was just as smooth, professional, and reliable as helping us to get it approved. If you're looking for honesty, reliability, hard working, and trustworthy...you need to use Sellars!

They repaired the damage at a very reasonable cost. Calling roof companies is an adventure. I will not get into that, but I appreciate the professionalism of Szott's to identify the issue and fix it at a reasonable cost. There was no upselling. Calling a roofing company after storm damage is very overwhelming. Based on my personal experience I would start with Szotts and know that you are dealing with an honest owner that is just trying to help you.
