His plumber came and worked for several minutes and gave me an appraisal for several hundred (less than $500). Then he said he needed some parts that they had in the warehouse, and he would be back. I have not seen him again. Later on, after several text messages, he stated that he wouldn't be able to do that today, and something suddenly came up! The very next morning, he was supposed to come at 11 a.m., the time we had scheduled before while texting each other; of course, he never showed up. 4 hours later...... I still haven't heard anything from the plumbing company, but I have gotten a text from the owner about the amount of money (for traveling to my house). I would like to ask a community what that is............ Is it a common practice in Houston? Is this a taxi service? It is only recommended if you would like to waste $500 and wait for four to six hours for the no-show. Please don't use them! There are plenty of decent companies around.

The first technician replaced a part that apparently did not need to be replaced, and the original problem continued. The second technician made an adjustment that did not resolve the issue. On top of that, the hot/cold water settings were switched. His proposed solution was for me to manually paint stripes to identify which side was hot and which was cold instead of actually correcting the problem. Then a THIRD technician came out and wanted to charge me again to replace yet another part, plus additional labor. He adjusted the water so it no longer comes out cold, but now the temperature basically goes from warm to extremely hot. Once again, the job was not properly completed. My experience has also been inconsistent because each visit involved a different technician, and the level of knowledge and workmanship seemed to vary significantly. After three visits, multiple attempted fixes, and money already spent, my bathroom is STILL leaking and I am left with another problem involving the water temperature. I hired a plumbing company because I expected a professional diagnosis and a complete repair--not repeated visits, different explanations, additional proposed charges, and half-completed work. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. I would rather pay a reputable plumbing company to diagnose and repair the problem correctly the first time than continue paying for attempted fixes that leave me with unresolved issues.

As most of TX knows it's been hard to get a hold of any plumber, but Karen and their crew were remarkably responsive and got back to me when they said they would every time. We did have to wait a little to get on the schedule but it was for a reason I appreciated: while supplies were limited they were trying to help the most people instead of sinking all of their materials into one job. They helped me avoid cutting into wood paneling and built in bookcases that would have been a nightmare to repair by moving a hose bib. And when the job was over Nayar was very patient with me when I asked him to give me an overview of where all the lines were located in case I had to trouble shoot anything. Also, the employees who only spoke Spanish were so kind in dealing with my poorly mangled Spanish - So. Kind. It's been about a week since my job was done now, and all the lines are fully functional with no issues!

A drainage project that began around July 8 took…read moreabout a month to complete, leaving a trench around my home and delaying other work, including roofing, electrical, and AC repairs. The biggest issue was a nearly $6,000 change order for a bathroom drain addition that was clearly identified in the drain inspection provided to the owner before the project was quoted. That inspection recommended replacing both older cast-iron systems with PVC. I was told the report was not fully reviewed before the quote was prepared because the owner receives too many reports and is usually rushed. Unfortunately, that lack of review resulted in a major added cost. There were also property-damage issues. My sidewalk and sprinkler cable were damaged during the work. I had to push back repeatedly after initially being told the damage may have been caused by me or my subcontractors. Communication and customer service were also disappointing. I found the project manager dismissive, and my request for a site meeting with the owner after the first major issue was ignored. The project total nearly doubled. When I requested a resolution, I was offered a split of the cost of the quoting error rather than removal of it. On a Friday evening, I was told the error would be removed; by Saturday morning, I received a threat and a promise of a lien. I cannot recommend Halo based on the inaccurate quoting, property damage, prolonged disruption, and handling of these concerns.
