Asked NG Elite Decks to resurface old deck, and add cable railing. The deck surface turned out…read morewell. They used kiln dried after treatment lumber and the deck looks fine. The cable railing is a different story: Photo #1 illustrates a 2x4 added to the bottom of all the cable sections. This 2x4 takes up the space of the 2 additional cables that SHOULD be there. This partially ruins the effect of a cable rail system. Since this "feature" was present in the demonstration photo examples sent to me before the job (I didn't notice this), and since not enough cable was ordered to do this right, I had to let it go. I have since removed all the 2x4 sections (14 in total), drilled new holes, added the additional 2 cables and incurred additional expense. Photo #2 illustrates lack of planning for the materials to be used. Since all of the cables were ordered pre-made at specific lengths, it was not possible to run separate cables for the stairs as should have happened. Photo #3 illustrates some sloppiness in the cable installation. This cannot be fixed without removing the affected posts and almost all of the installed cables. I don't expect perfection, but for the price that I paid I expect excellence. I would hesitate to recommend North Georgia Elite Decks to anyone without adding some specific caveats.

I hired this company through Uhaul/MovingHelp.com and, as many have stated, was pressured into…read moreleaving a 5-star review upon checking out because the move wasn't completely finished yet & I didn't want issues. I was also told they needed a screen shot of review to verify satisfaction with their boss. Sadly my move wasn't close to 5 star service. Kalvin & Joshua arrived 25mins late and from the beginning moved very slowly. Towards the end, I was helping to move items to the truck to speed things up. It literally took all day to move out of a 1 bedroom apartment that was fully packed and lightly furnished. My other complaints include: 1) having to go buy a wrench for them to take apart my bed frame, then having them opt out of taking the bed frame apart and having to drag it up to my 2nd floor condo because it would not fit in the elevator. Needless to say, scratches and gouges happened. Easy enough to conceal, but poor decision making. 2) using 1 mattress bag for both mattress & box spring even though 2 were supplied. Mattress was dragged on pavement causing staining of mattress topper/cover. Again, easy enough to correct, but shouldn't have had to. 3) TV improperly loaded/carried/dropped - not sure which, but arrived at new residence bubbled and non-working. Will have to replace - Owner Rick Kirby says not their fault...... 4) Fireplace/TV stand torn where speakers are and gouged. Movers indicated I reacted in a way that led them to believe it was already like that, which is completely untrue. Again, fixable but unprofessional process. I've moved enough in my life to know it's never 100% error free, and I'm okay overlooking some things. But when your laborer's clearly break something- there should be some recourse for claims & replacements. Not just, sorry, not our fault. Would not recommend. Best to over pay family/friends or sell everything and avoid the hassle.
