When she finally came to the window, I said, "Good morning," and got no response. Still confused, I asked if they were open. She said yes, pointed to the sign, and told me the hours were posted there. I explained that I wasn't sure because when I pulled up, I wasn't acknowledged at all. Her response was that she was "in the middle of a conversation." Like...what?! I completely understand being in the middle of a conversation, but a smile, a wave, or even a quick "Good morning, I'll be right with you" would have made the entire interaction completely different. At that point, I politely told her I'd rather order somewhere else. She insisted it was okay to order, and I politely insisted that we'd rather go elsewhere. It was just a really weird experience, especially since it was my first time there and I had been genuinely excited to try the place. I couldn't bring myself to look past the passive-aggressive interaction that felt completely unnecessary at 7:30 in the morning. People should be greeted with a smile--coffee starts our day! I'm honestly sad to leave a negative review for a small local coffee shop that I didn't even get the chance to try.
