After several…read moretries they told me they didn't have the capability to cut the lens to match the frame on my almost $900.00 pair of glass that I had picked from their inventory. My glasses had to be reordered twice after I received the original pair. The first problem was the lens did not fit the frames, there were large gaps between the lens and the frame. Then the next time they got my prescription wrong. They came back with the correct prescription but there was still a gap between the lens and frame. I do not recommend buying from this company.

The design of the shop is quite funky and artsy (be careful not to fall into the pit!) and has all of the frames out so you can try them on as you like. I hate when all the frames are under lock and key; it really hinders the trying-on process. I checked out a couple of eyeglasses places in Birmingham and found myself drawn to the more obscure and unique frames at iiis. No Ray-Ban, Prada, or Vogue here. The ladies are all very nice and are very helpful and patient if you take hours to decide on your frames (ahem, me). Low pressure sales tactics. They are happy to help to find frames or if you want to browse solo, that's okay too. Plus they will even write down the glasses you're considering, both in their book and on a little card for you to take home. I'm not crazy about the location of Five Points but at least it's centrally located. iis is a little more expensive than what you might pay at other places but rest easy in the knowledge that you've got a very special pair of frames and are supporting a locally-owned shop. Once in that area another worker patiently provided insight into good beginner rods. I was informed that I could test out the rod for up to 60 days and if I didn't like it I could bring it back. Thankfully I used it today and will not be bringing it back because I really like my Ugly Stik! They also provide some free fishing line with purchase of a rod. The store is clean and well lit and the same goes for the parking lot. Check out was a breeze as I didn't have wait long and the checkout clerk was really sweet. Also, if you had been kind to my son and I and helped him find a style that suited him, you never know, we may have gone ahead and purchased them from you and then went to lens crafter for a quick pair that he could use later as his backup. Secondly, what you sadly still fail to understand is the concept of customer service. Every time someone walks in your store there is no guarantee they will purchase from you.
