I needed my barn installed. A friend gave me a number and told me to ask for Josh so I did. AT first he seemed very honest and helpful. I agreed to his price. He sent me a contract to sign. He left out 2 items that we discussed 1) insurance 2) he said he would pick up the barn. I added that to the contract and returned it. I also asked him where to send the check and whom to make it out to. He never replied. I emailed him 3 more times as well as called at least 5 times asking for this info. Over 2 weeks later I finally got a hold of him. He moved my install date back 2 weeks and said it was because I didn't pay which was due to his failure to reply back with the payment info. Anyways I agreed once again to all his terms and sent a check. About a week later I get an email that states he will not put up my barn which he was going to do for $1800 because I didn't buy the barn from Jackson Metal Roofing(JMR) when I was calling for pricing. He also went on to say I was just cheap although I already had told him I was a disabled Vet. When I looked at the quote they sent me to buy the barn I see that they wanted $2800 to install it. Funny when I called to install one I bought elsewhere I was told $1800. I see what happened they realized they couldn't rip me off for the extra $1000 on the install so they got mad and returned my check even though he sent me a signed contract, I did change those 2 items but after that we did agree on terms and he told me to end a check. I spent 24 years in the military fighting so companies had the freedom to treat people this way. I gave this all to a lawyer to see my options since we did have a contract that was agreed on by both parties. My advise is deal with a company that is a little more professional than JMR. After we had an install contract they do not complete the job only due to the fact that I didn't buy the barn from them. Pretty childish gesture from a consumer company. They should have just stated up front if you don't pay our inflated building price than we wont install it. However, if you do buy a barn from us we are going to over charge you $1000 on the install. They also bashed the company I bought my building from and told me how it was an inferior product. Not that I would expect less from such a non reputable place of business.

They were responsive to my request, provided a quote, and came out the next morning to complete the work. Tommy was prompt to arrive, assessed and confirmed the situation, and explained to me what was happening each step of the way. He's a man that is proud of his craft and trade, and does things right. Even though it wasn't included in the quote, he helped me paint the replacement vent covers. He called out some other things I would have never noticed, and helped me clean out my dryer duct, which was clogged with a birds nest and about a pound of lint! This is a very important thing to check, as a clogged dryer vent is a common cause of house fires! Hiring contractors will always cost money, and often times, people get consumed by cost. Well, people's time and their service cost money. Maybe you could save a few bucks here or there, but will the work be done right? Is the contractor rushing through your job to get to the next? Value isn't just a dollar figure; it's a function of a cocktail of things important to you. For me, that would be saving time, getting things done right, and relieving me of potential life threatening injuries. I can tell you that Tommy and Alpha Precision will take the time to do things right, so that you won't need to pay again later. They also come when they say they will, and climb the ladder to do the work (that saved me a trip to the emergency room). Excellent service and a fair price. I called several roofers and none of them called me back once…read morethey found out my issue was a small issue and my roof is fairly new. So i appreciated that they actually followed up with me. The process was very easy. I called and they were able to schedule a visit within 48 hours (my issue wasn't an emergency so that was more than fair to me ). They came out and inspected my entire roof, let me know any problem areas and gave me a quote and got me scheduled for a repair and again was back out here within 2 days to fix it.
