It was after 1:15 pm and there where no other customers as I arrived, although 4 came while I was waiting for my meal. I decided to opt for chicken tenders and the shrimp fried rice, again both were recommended by a neighbor. The chicken tenders were among the smallest chicken tenders I've ever gotten (see photo). Also I appreciate the fact that it wasn't loaded with tons of breading as some of the convenience store frozen chicken tenders are, but they were overcooked, dry, and absolutely bland with practically no seasoning or flavor. I'm on a salt restricted diet so I appreciate a place that isn't heavy-handed with the salt, but you don't have to use tons of salt to season food well. This tasted like they literally dredged it in flour and fried it with no seasoning at all...and THEN overcooked it. So between the size of the chicken tenders, the coating and bad execution in the fry hamper - sadly I have to say these are among the worst chicken tenders I've had anywhere. Now as for the fried rice, I was less disappointed with that. They gave you a pretty good size of fried rice for $4.50 and although the shrimp were itsy bitsy tiny there were enough that you could see them in the fried rice along with some carrots and fried egg. But again, seasoning was somewhat lacking - and - as tends to be true with a lot of places that make fried rice it was a little on the greasy side. Better outcome on the fried rice than the chicken tenders (which was a complete fail), but I'm not sure I'll try this particular establishment again based on this disappointment.

My friends ordered a couple of apps which were all good - there's a grazing board which had a lot of fresh and flavorful bites. I ended up ordering the smashburger because it was the special. I hadn't planned on eating the whole thing, but I did and I don't regret it. They have flat cut fries which needed a little more flavor, but still good. Service was okay enough. When at the table, he didn't check to see if everyone was good each time, which led to multiple visits when things could have been handled all at once. We had to ask for small app plates, and silverware was not provided at all spots. Dishes were never cleared when bringing additional apps, so we took to stacking and rearranging plates. And no one seemed to be quite sure of the happy hour specials, if any. All and all, it's a great place to watch the game, and I assume a good place for kids to go because it's so open and wide.

I love that they stay open really late till about two to 3:30 AM compared to other local fast food restaurants. I really enjoyed the Cajun and medium flavor or spice levels; I also surprisingly enjoyed the loaded fries with the chicken of your particular spice level with their seasoned waffle fries, Blazin sauce, pickle slices and mac & cheese. I typically avoid loaded fries because I hate soggy foods but they loaded them perfectly. This is a casual dining spot that is super cute for lunch dates, quick lunch stop through drive through, etc. They cater for events like a good LSU game day. The owner and staff I met are very bubbly, friendly, and creative. I'll be back soon!
