I have used them to purchase several shotguns online. Very reasonably priced FFL fees. Very punctual and never a problem.

Southern Armory is one of the top 3 best gun stores in St. Louis. It is the BEST medium sized store. It is family owned and run, plus the owner and staff are gun very knowledgeable. If they do not have what you want, the owner can order it. I have ordered 2 special orders and was well received. During Covid-19, target shooting was my shut-in open air range hobby activity to balance most places closed. I bought one rifle and 4 hand guns, 22 Magnum, 380 Auto, 9mm, and 38 Special. Hi my name is Brandon Williams I purchased a Taurus G3 on Saturday from Southern Armory. The gentleman who I bought the gun from was very nice seem like a seamless transaction. Until Sunday when I attempted to go purchase items from advanced auto parts. I was then told by the cashier there that I only had $56 in my account. When I Bought the gun it was about $326 Including ammo. I knew I still have more money so I called my bank track my charges and found out that I was charged twice at Southern Armory for the same amount. I then called Southern Armory I spoke with the same man that sold me the gun. He then told me that the credit card company they use sometimes takes out a hold on your account. This didn't make much sense to me since it was a debit card I would have use my pin number if I knew this would've been an issue but this was never offered. I've never purchased anything from anywhere where they charge you double by holding a Fee and then also charging you a fee. Sunday our car southern armory and I spoke with Jessica who then explain to me that sometimes the credit card company will take out a hold on the account and also charge it. She then assured me that she only saw one transaction on the report no matter how many times I told her that my account was charged twice she still disagree and told me that it's just a hold and it should be back. She didn't tell me that they were close on Monday but if I didn't get my funds by Monday I was to call her back and leave her a voice message letting her know that I didn't receive my funds back. Needless to say on Tuesday My money was still not in my account. I called him as soon as possible on Tuesday and left a message as instructed. Jessica called me back and told me that there was a glitch on my debit card. Does that not make much sense to me since I only had the card for a week And I have never had any issues before with it being double charged. Just to be sure that there was not an issue with my car on my lunch at work I went to the bank I attempted to get a new card at the bank but we saw there was nothing wrong with my card. I explain the situation to my bank and was told that didn't make sense. They then advise me to reach back out to Southern armory to see if there was something they can do. At this point I'm frustrated and on Wednesday my account would be overdrafted due to bills. I then called Southern Armory back spoke with Jessica again each time I spoke with her I was very nice but this call Seem to upset her. I was really pleading my case considering the situation I didn't want my account to be overdrafted. But she continue to say things like I've already done everything that I can there's nothing else I can do. She continue to say things like it isn't my fault and we didn't do anything really not taking any honest on the situation considering it's your credit card company. From my perspective since it's your credit card company I would assume that this is attached to your business. She got so irate over the phone that the same guy that sold me the gun got on the phone and said is everything OK. I didn't explain my situation very calmly and explain that I'm going to have overdraft fees or possibly come out on Wednesday due to bills. He again was very nice and have no complaints with him at all. He then explained to me that instead of getting a refund at this point. That reselling the guy would be an option and Jessica was checking the pricing. This is my first fire alarm so I didn't know that things cannot be returned for full price. I didn't yell I didn't scream on any of the cars that I made regarding this issue even though I feel I have reason to be upset. I have never been to a business well I've been charged two times and then blame for it like it's my fault. I understand how credit card companies work my mother works at a bank so I definitely understand transactions. It just infuriates me when I'm lied to Because if your credit card company actually does sorts of things like this I think they should be conveyed to the customer before making a purchase. Other options could've been used I could've went to go get cash or I could use straight debit so you did not have to run it as a credit. Needless to say from this experience I would not recommend anybody go to Southern Armory if you do not know how your credit card systems work and you can't convey that to your customers how can we respect you as a reputable Business. Again I have no issues with who I think is the owner of Southern Armory he was very nice he answered all my questions she even was nice enough to give me small talk while I was waiting on my background to come back. But unfortunately in most situations you're only as good as your weakest employee. I would like a buy or recommend anyone to use Southern Armory. This has been a horrible experience read more

I would give this store a 3 star because the selection is simply not that robust. The have a rather sad assortment of some new and some used pieces behind the counter and a couple rows of ammo and accessories. But I give them 4 stars because the lady behind the counter (owner I think..?) is so darn nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. Beef up your selection SA and I will be back! I want to come back! I like this place. The woman behind the counter (Don't recall her name) was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I bought my first lower here and the price was slightly cheaper than a few other shops in this city. Not a whole lot of stock on offer, though, which was disappointing. read more

I went in to buy some ammo and the old guy behind the counter was rude and acted like I was wasting his time. I'll buy from Outdoor Limited instead. What a jerk he was, he must own the place. I work in retail and would get fired if I treated my customers that way. read more

Made a specific purchase last week (sorry, took me this long to get around to it) but found S. Armory to be very pleasant, with a well rounded selection of products. Aaron Tarlow specifically went above and beyond to give me a great deal on my purchase and earned my returning patronage. They have a large selection of firearms, along with accessories and some reloading material for everyone. Gunsmith available upon request.
