They showed me a rifle once I provided my State ID and badge. But when I wanted to purchase the rile they asked me if I had "arresting rights" outside of the institution in which I didn't. So they decided I couldn't purchase the rifle. . . But the law is plain on its language of Illinois Dept of Corrections being able to purchase a semi-automatic rifle. Under Peace and Qualified Law Enforcement Officers. "Those section has also been amended to include Correctional Officers in Illinois, whether they be State or County". So for a gun business to pick and choose who gets to purchase by their standards an not by the standards of the law, let me know this business does not respect American citizens, the Illinois Laws and the Federal 2nd Amendment rights of an American Citizen. I will not patronize this business ever again. I drove to another gun shop that sold me the rifle with no problems whatsoever.

My husband also got a gun with cerakote through their gunsmith and it was supposed to only take a week and ended up taking 1.5 months and the gunsmith did not even put the gun back together properly. Specifically, after about 20 phone calls they were the only store that had 9M fmj range ammo in stock, albeit at a significantly higher price than usual. Supply & demand during covid... There were a few things on our list and they actually had them all in stock, which is rare for a gun store these days. A woman helped us who was very knowledgeable and helpful. Among other things, she was able to help me pick out a pair of range safety glasses that fit the pumpkin resting on my shoulders so that was exciting. Their prices were a bit above average, but they made me feel safe shopping there, had everything I needed, and provided excellent service. Those are three things I'm willing to pay somewhat of a premium for in this day and age. Their covid response game is on point - locked doors, strictly regulated capacity, wearing masks the right way, distancing, & hand sanitizer. The only potential nitpick is that the line isn't taped, but people were being respectful in line so not really a hangup for us. One last note - limit of 2 boxes of ammo per person per calibre per day, so bring all your non-gun-toting friends if they're willing. Maybe bribe them with food, because there are some awesome restaurants nearby... Would I recommend/revisit: You betcha!

I received notice of delivery to them and went to pick up the part and do the background check. They said they didn't have the part, that USPS did not deliver the part, that USPS could not deliver the part due to laws in place, and when I showed them my notice of delivery they said "Well someone's lying". I went to the Post office, and they showed the part as delivered, and the Post Master spoke with the Route Postman who was at the Goshen Guns site and found the part in their mailbox. When I went back to Goshen Guns upset over the hassle and the insinuation that I was a liar, they refused the transfer and called the Police on me and ordered me out of their store. Life is better away from this looney bin.

Very part time business. Wished I knew this before I made the purchase…read more Going on two weeks now and still waiting on my gun. Conflicting information. It's was shipped on Monday. Delayed. Then shipped again the next Thursday. Must have missed soemone signing for it? Or maybe another customer wanted the same gun. Don't know. Now waiting on ISP. 72 hour hold is now past a week. I talked to rural king and they said they never had any issues. Usually comes back in an hour. Someone at hilltop can't get the sale approved. Waiting until they have time to sort it out. Otherwise cancel the sale and start again next year. I believe since only open 4 hr twice a week they are too busy to manage all the customers. When problems happen they sit.
