Great location just steps to the Inner Harbor and across from the Renaissance. Very nice people running the restaurant. Bagel was good. Nicely toasted with the perfect amount of cream cheese. Breakfast choices including pancakes. This place is known as a bul go GI or bi. I'm bop place, but they do a good breakfast and there isn't anything else in the blocks surrounding it. Will have to come back And try the lunch.

Pros: Clean establishment Friendly Staff Good menu options Fresh food Affordable prices I have been working literally around the corner from The South Street Cafe for years and never knew that they existed. I was hungover this morning and need breakfast bad, I stumbled across this little gem. The place is spotless clean, staff if very friendly, menu is huge and priced right and food is made fresh in front of you while you wait. For lunch they have a arge variety of soups and Daily specials. For lunch today I got Soup and grilled cheese special for $7.99 which lacked Crab, almost just a veggie soup with a hint of crab but was still good. They tend to get busy at lunch time but they bank the orders out quick. I reccomend this place

I was looking for a quick breakfast bite while I was in town for a conference. The staff were very welcoming when I walked in. My yummy breakfast sandwich was made incredibly quickly. The entrance is a little hard to find and it's not apparent that there is a cafe there, but once you do find it, it's worth it!

Found your friendly neighborhood Korean Deli in Baltimore. Their spicy pork Friday's special is definitely worth a try. Thick hearty cuts with a homestyle taste.

This is by far the best diner in Baltimore. The service is awesome and the food is great. The owner really knows what he's doing.

Small little deli run by a very nice husband and wife, I assume. Food is hot and fresh, coffee is surprisingly good.

Not only is the…read morecustomer service fantastic (very attentive, willing to check in on you, knowledgeable staff, etc), they have a nice variety of liquor and wines that are easy to find in the shop based on region. Additionally, they sell limes and lemons at the register which if you've ever had a few friends over for drinks, you tend to prioritize the alcohol and forget the limes/lemons. It's always a duh moment for me but because they have them right at the register, it's easy to remember. What I think I like most about The Wine Source is how honest staff are about their thoughts on different wines. If they don't like it, they'll tell you and have enough knowledge to even recommend something based on your tastes. Lot parking can be a little scarce sometimes but that's really out of their control and usually street parking is easy to find in the area. In short, would highly recommend! My friend (who's the wine guy for sure) loves it here and says it's one of the best wine spots in Baltimore to him. P.S. They also sell some food in the shop which I haven't tried yet but I'm sure it's good!

Closest thing to a New Orleans po'boy in Baltimore…read more The Catfish Po'Boy here is no joke. Kimchi-brined fried catfish, remoulade, capers, lettuce, tomato and red onion on a sub roll -- it immediately reminded me of Mandina's on Canal Street in NOLA. That's about as high a compliment as I can give a po'boy outside of Louisiana. My partner had the Heirloom BLT and loved every bite. Fresh heirloom tomatoes, arugula, sprouts, herbed avocado mayo on wheat -- simple and done right. Chuck's has that perfect Hampden energy: unpretentious, a little quirky, genuinely good food. The counter seating where you watch everything made to order is a nice touch. Grab something from the bodega side on your way out. Show up Tuesday for the po'boy lunch special. You won't regret it.

I can confidently say that everyone that recommended this place was right. I had the Seoul skillet with pork belly, kimchi and mushrooms and wow, was it good! The flavors melted perfectly and it was the epitome of a well balanced breakfast. Service was fine - a bit slow, but they were incredibly busy, so I don't fault them at all for that. One thing I do hate is having to continuously ask for my water to be refilled, and I was left with an empty glass quite often but again, they were swamped so I do understand. Ambience is very interesting here, I don't know that I have ever been to a more eclectic restaurant. The decor is all over the place but it really does fit the vibe so I say this with zero negativity. It's quite tight in the space but that's totally fine. Overall I will 100% be coming back and would recommend anyone else do so.

But they do have a wide menu which includes cheesesteak so I decided to give them a try. Then came the 100% disappointing sad cheesesteak I was served. From the soggy bread, to the wrapper that stuck to my cheese and turned my cheesesteak into just the "steak" part. The flavor was that of a piece of bread soaked in water and tasteless. Overall did not come close to fulfilling my craving. Service was the same to follow. I approached the counter where I was greeted. The only customer service part of my experience. I told her my name and she said it would be a few more minutes. The woman then stated talking to her coworkers.. nonstop chatter. All the while the back cooks were bringing up food. And they were bagging it. After about 10 minutes of waiting. I interrupted the chatter and asked if my sandwich would be coming soon (at this point it had been 20 minutes since I ordered). She then asked me my name again and then grabbed a bag that had been sitting in the counter for some time and handed it to me. No apology.. nothing to show my bag had been sitting there for the last 8 minutes while I waited and she as the "greeter" forgot to check on it. So overall I would say the one star given is generous for the service, and food I received from this store.
