On this lovely Sunday that we visited, we came not long before closing, but it's opened from 1-5 on Sundays so that's still pretty good, plenty of time to enjoy this library. Although it's not a very big library, it has everything you'd expect from one. Upstairs is the teens and adult sections, pretty typical areas with lots of fiction and non fiction books, but there's also nice views of the lake and greenery outside the library from this upper floor. The main floor downstairs consist of the children's section and it's bright, clean, and colorful. On this floor, you'd also find that the space is pretty big and has lots of books for kids of all ages, as well as bathrooms, meeting rooms, a Friends of the Library book sales store, the main info desk with friendly library staff, and has all the comprehensive resources you'd expect at a library. Overall, we enjoyed visiting this library again even though it's not our first time, but it's still as nice as before, with a calming palette of colors inside and nice natural landscaping outside, making this a truly quiet and peaceful retreat in the middle of the bustling little bedroom community of Rocklin, CA in Placer County.

I brought my two step daughters and it was a weird vibe from the staff, overall. They also were arguing with other people in the library about sign up sheets for kids to read with dogs. They put out the sign up sheet for the activity about 20 min before it began but they didn't want anyone to sign up until 5 min before and they also didn't want a line to form for the sign up sheets. They didn't handle it smoothly or professionally in my opinion. We were in line and decided to leave because it was so awkward.

We were here for a traffic violation of the texting variety. Parking was packed even before 9 on a Monday. Got through to security and proceeded to get our service wait tickets via an e-kiosk. It took about 10 minutes before we were registered and told to go to room 30 where the traffic violations were being heard. Upon entering this courtroom, the judge was hearing testimony from a police officer while the "violating" party sat in the table a few chairs from him. Mikes were sensitive enough for testimonies to be heard inside. I figured that those who contested their citations went first as the arresting officer were present during the hearing. This went on for some time, and a 15-minute recess ended the scheduled disputes. It went like a breeze after that as those with petty traffic citations were summoned in batches of three's. I sat with my teen during the proceeding and the judge was thankful for my presence. We luckily got off a forgiveness as this first-time violator was a minor. We spent a total of 2 hrs and 30 minutes overall. Not quite what I planned for a Monday morning, but I'm sure glad it got the result it did.

The natural light coming from the large windows makes long study days feel less confining. I feel comfortable leaving my belongings at my table while I use the restroom. It's a risk to take unless you ask one of the many kind people around to watch your stuff. There are also study rooms for rent. I haven't used them, but I'm happy to have the option. The parking lot can get packed quick due to the fitness center, nearby parks, and other library goers.

The DIY check out & return systems are convenient & user friendly. There is a section of books & media for purchase. It's located at Mahany Park, next door to the Utility Exploration Center, which expands a nice family experience. Intrest should stop acuring when the funds are available. Employer's are given 7 days to pay this by mail or electronic fund transfers (ETF) . The State then process the funds allowing 3-4 day to process. We are paying for this. Failing to send The National Heath Care Order to my employer. This allowed Dcss to garnish my income well over the legal limits. Child Support Services does provide a valuable services to the Community .I'm going to say it To the DEAD BEET PARENT (THANKS) THIS SYSTEM IS BASE ON YOUR NON-PARTICIPATON IN YOUR CHILDRENS LIFE. For the parent, man or woman that wants and needs to be involved in their children's life,We need this service to be fair to each parent. Please reach out to me. I received email from her yesterday, claiming the agency, child support, were going to see if the DMV registrations i sent in July 29, 2026 were legit. Still seeing if theyre legit after over 60 days in their hands. Family Code 17400, have responsibilities of PROMPTLY and effectively establishing, modifying and enforcing Child support. I lost my case , the first one, due to late audits I received from child support. Reason why I refiled an Objection, set aside order from September 2 court hearing. These guy are horrible, they work for the state to protect from fraud but yet do nothing when fraud is presented to them. The parent has to file with court due to incompetence of this agency and continued stall tactics by Obudsman Jessica, their buddy. You gotta laugh, this show continues. For something that should have been dealt with few months ago, its been dragging for months. I lost 400 dollars a month due to this agency but they don't want me to cuss in my emails to them. Their feelings are hurt. Insane, dealing with a bunch of delicate, incompetence folks there. But you're the bad guy for bringing up their job duties, laws to enforce, accountability and correct accurate support to the parent. 45k is a lot of money ex owes. 35 year case folks. Yes, I know the laws and their work policies, I've study them 30 years ago, but what do I know, im a grandma sitting hrs at law library trying to figure out filings motions when Child support should have filed in August 2026 and not me.
