After our first tasting he noted our wine palate as a group and changed our next location on the fly because he felt it would be a better fit - he was completely accurate in his reading of the group/palate and the change was amazing (a lot of us felt it was our favorite experience of the tasting). We all bought a ton of wine but none of us ever had to carry a bottle out to the van (he did all of the heavy lifting, after individually labeling each bottle for easy sorting later! - this was a great touch). Between each winery he offered us snacks and water. He pays extreme attention to detail (even changed into dinner attire just to drive us to dinner!), provided information about each experience as we were arriving, had two impeccably clean vehicles for us and played music that was appropriate for the time of day/mood of the group. I can't wait to do another tour with him next time we are in the Oliver area!

But that was before the new legal alcohol consumption limits went into play. And you know what? Thank goodness, because with OK Wine Shuttle, not only did we need not worry about our sobriety, we also had an air conditioned place to store our purchases. I really didn't know what to expect when we booked the shuttle. I certainly didn't expect the friendliest driver hailing from Ontario by way of Burnaby to ham it up with us the whole time! Nor did I expect to be the only people on the shuttle. Going mid week has its perks - less people is one of them. Feeling like we had our own private driver for $45/person was another, and might I add, very worth it. Baller! From what I gathered from JP (the driver extraordinaire), it's a little more hectic on the weekends. When they're busy they will attempt to group you together at wineries and will shuttle you around to the next one, making their way from Penticton to the furthest reaches of Naramata and back again. With the wineries keeping a tight proximity to one another, going to the ones that you want to is pretty doable. They also focus on both the family estates as well as the more established spots. Some notes: if you're in Penticton, there are three main "hop on hop off" spots. If you're in Naramata, call ahead and they'll come get you! Our driver mentioned that he knows how busy it's going to be around 1:30 pm. We started with him before 11am and had made a lot of headway by that time. It's worth starting out earlier! Bring cash. They're cash only! And I'm sure they appreciate tips too.

I was impressed with how proactive Kent was throughout the process, first by helping us plan an advance itinerary that was both enjoyable and efficient, and then by squeezing us in for extra tastings at some hidden gems when we found ourselves with time to spare between appointments. It was abundantly clear throughout the day how well Kent knows and loves the area, and how well-regarded he is amongst the management at the local wineries. We couldn't have asked for a better day and will definitely be booking with Kent and Desert Country Wine Tours again in the future.

The wines were delicate, well balanced and really really nice. The woman who did our tasting was very informative and knowledgeable on the wines, the history of the winery and did a great job walking us through the wines. I fell in love with their Caruja, which is a dessert wine. They had a white and red version and I loved them both. They had lots of fun things in their store, many owl and bird themed items. This place is absolutely worth the stop! But I'd make a reservation so you don't have to weasel your way in like we did.

All the wines were incredibly high quality and the experience was great - we were consistently brought out options of wines we could choose between, which was helpful as our group had different palates. It was a nice Syrah (light with very subtle white pepper notes) but not noticably distinctive from the other Syrahs in the valley. Their tasting room is beautiful, modern and has lovely sweeping views of the vines.

My husband and I only had time to visit 1 or 2 wineries in Oliver/Osoyoos the day after we ran the Half Corked Marathon, and we're so glad we chose Phantom Creek (which was also recommended to us by the owner of a local coffee shop in addition to being featured in the Half Corked Marathon). The elegant angel sculptures and modern design of the buildings instantly took our breath away. Then we stepped out onto the huge outdoor terrace and caught sight of the endless vineyards. This was going to be an experience... It got even better! We were seated on the terrace overlooking those insane views, and enjoyed live music by a local musician while tasting 5 different wines brought out to us by Yun. I can't say enough nice things about Yun: she was so warm and welcoming, and though she said she was new there, her knowledge and hospitality were excellent and that of someone with years of experience. We would love to have her be our wine tasting guide again! She certainly made our visit even more enjoyable. From the Chardonnay, Viognier, and Rosé, to the Carbonic Syrah and Cuvée, we truly enjoyed every sip. My personal favorites were the Carbonic Syrah and Organic Rosé. And to top it all off, we decided to get a couple of scoops of their authentic Italian gelato for dessert. A sweet ending to our unforgettable time at Phantom Creek!

I've noticed different background music depending on where you are standing and I thought that was a subtle, yet well thought out detail. When you were close to the outside of the main tasting room, the music was slightly more upbeat and fun. The music that was closer towards the restaurant was more spa like and relaxing. The view you get to immerse yourself in during the tasting is breathtaking. Unfortunately, due to the smoke, we weren't able to sit outside, which was a shame and not Phantom Creek's fault. We had the premium tasting with the charcuterie board and it was worth it. The charcuterie board was unique and not like any other boards we've had during our wine tastings. The staff were so knowledgeable and experienced. They were able to answer all our questions we had. Our favorite wine was the Syrah, but you had to join the wine club in order to purchase it. The only thing they needed to work on is the amount of flies inside the tasting room. I know it's fly season, but there should be some way to trap the flies on sticky paper and etc because it took away from the amazing experience as you're trying to swat away flies. We didn't want them to land on the food and one even got into the wine glass and they should have replaced it.

The breakfasts were very good, but the dinners were so-so. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I bought a bottle of the Chardonnay for a friend, and she subsequently shared it with me. I am not generally a fan of Chardonnays, but I really enjoyed the Crowsnest wine.

We love camping with the convenience of a restaurant on site. The owners and staff are friendly. The food is delicious 95% of the time. Sometimes the burgers and fries have been overcooked. Our favorites are prime rib Saturdays and any/all of their freshly made on-site desserts. We also love that they continue to make improvements and upgrades across their property. Looking forward to next year's stay already.

They didn't have anything that tickled my fancy but I could smell something Coming from the restaurant that made me decide to check out the menu. Of course my young son doesn't eat hardly anything, ( basically pizza or pizza sticks, so it's really difficult to get him to eat..welp anything really).. We ended up ordering their Greek salad & a side of home fries for my husband & myself to share & a kids chicken strip/fries for our son. We DO NOT like to go into restaurants really at all. Too many people, too much going on around us, judgemental people all the time etc etc, so like usual I ordered it to go. Then went back out to our truck to tell my husband & son how long til I could go back in & pick up the food. Our son told us that he wanted to go inside AND he wanted to sit down together INSIDE to eat & of course we did it for his sake. My husband will fight tooth & nail to avoid all public events & interactions usually but not this time. We go in & get sat down by a window overlooking the lake. There was a few folks there not much. Let me tell y'all from the moment we sat down, we felt comfortable, invited, not judged, not scrutinized, not any of the normal stressors that will normally get us to get out of any place as fast as possible! It was really refreshing! The manager guy was very very personable, very engaging but not overly so & the bartender guy was the same. We let our son color on a dollar bill & we all signed it & the manager, without even saying anything to him, brought us a stable gun that he quietly sat on the edge of our table so we could put the dollar up on their walls of bills when ready. The food was great - the fries where probably the best fries my husband & myself have had in a long time & our son ACTUALLY ATE HIS FOOD!!! Great job to the two guys working. Come check this place out, it's a good one with respectable folks running the show! Thanks for the great food & great memory with our son!
